"Harry that's crazy!" Sirius yelled.
"Won't know until we try!"

Chapter 1: An Equal Exchange.
Harry wasted no time in making his way to riddle manor. He had a plan, he hadn't told Sirius what it was, at least not entirely, as he knew he wouldn't be allowed out of sight again if he had told the man he considered a father he was about to give himself to his mortal enemy. It was all for the best however. The rebellion would greatly benefit from his parents freedom, even if there was a small loss. It would all be worth it in the end. He had gone alone with Sirius at the borders ready to retrieve him if need be. He walked to the gate and waited......
-
"Master Tom sir, there's be someone at the gate!" Binky squeaked.
"Very well, go back to work Binkey." Tom told the small house elf.
With a pop the house elf was gone. Tom pressed a button linking to the holo comm for the gate systems. The image of a young boy popped up. He looked closer and began to stare with wide eyes. He was surprised to see a child, no less Harry Potter.
"And what do I owe to this little visit?" Tom asked in a calm even voice.
"We need to talk." Harry said abruptly.
"And why dear boy is that?" Tom pried.
"I want my parents, riddle. There's no one else here. It's just me, myself and I." Harry spat.
"Very well, leave your wand with Binky. I'll know if you were followed so don't try anything." Tom agreed.
The large iron gates of riddle manor swung open with a shriek. Harry covered his ears as the semi-rusted hinges began moaning after finally being used for the first time in a great many years. He looked down at the small creature that looked at him, holding its hand out. Harry took his wand from his holster and placed it (what he hoped was safely) within the small hands of the being and watched as it popped away with a crack. Looking toward the manor Harry spotted yet another small creature as it popped into view at the door. Harry walked up the path to greet it at the door. The house elf bowed and began to lead Harry within the the walls of his enemy. Harry began to build his courage (which seemed to be thinning as he walked further) and gathered his thoughts, composing himself as a set of large mahogany doors with the initials TMR carved elegantly into each door, came into view.
"Heres you be." The creature spoke.
"Thank you, um?" Harry began.
"Greezy"
"Thank you, Greezy." Harry thanked the house elf.
Harry pushed the large doors open and entered the fairly large study. He stood in the door way and watched as Tom gestured toward a chair in front of the desk. Harry let go of the doors and left them slam shut, as he took the seat offered.
"So are you giving yourself up?" Tom asked curiously.
Harry shook his head. "I'd like to ask for my parents back sir." He responded.
"To....ask? You are simply a child, whom has nothing to offer in return." Tom laughed.
Harry smirked. "That's where you are wrong.... I offer myself in return."
To say Tom was surprised would have been an understatement. He knew very well what the boy was capable of, young as he may be. He would be a huge asset, especially if he was given a proper wand instead of a hand me down, but he'd lose two valuable prisoners who pose a threat.
"If I were to accept I'd need assurance you won't leave, you are to give me your loyalty to its fullest, and you would have to attend school like the other kids your age." Tom stated firmly.
"A ward who is in your care via blood adoption cannot run nor be taken. That is my offer to you. As for school that's not necessarily needed. I am on a seventh years level after all." Harry replied.
Tom smirked. He didn't even have to tell Potter what he was signing up for, the boy just said it himself. This boy was surely a Slytherin, which was amusing considering his parents were Gryffindor to the core.
Though Tom had no need, nor want if an heir it was the only legal way no one could take the boy. Not even his birth parents.
"That May be so, however you will be going to Hogwarts. Even if you don't need the classes. It is both expected as well as good for social interaction." Tom said.
'Social interaction, you mean a good chance to show off your shiny new toy' Harry thought bitterly. He just huffed before he gave a sigh and nodded. Even though Harry said 'back' in reference to his parents he still wouldn't have them the way he would have liked to.
"Come with me." Tom said as he led the younger boy out of the room.
The boy thought about school. Harry would be a first year at Hogwarts this coming year so he wouldn't have missed anything. He knew there were rebel recruits inside already and a few joining this year. The Weasley's for example were an undercover unit of the rebellion. Fred and George were currently in the school and Ron would also be with them this year. Harry could report back to Ron who could report to Dumbledore! Harry was now excited for school. He'd have to make other friends obviously but he still had a rebel link!
As Harry and Tom got to a cell Harry pulled out a picture. It was a picture of himself, that also served as a port key. Tom gestured the boy into the cell and his parents looked horrified.
"Hello mum, dad." Harry greeted.
"Harry? My baby boy.... They got you!?" Lily yelled in panic.
Harry shook his head. "Nope. I came here to get you." Harry said handing lily and James the picture.
"It's a portkey. Just explain to Sirius that I've exchanged myself for you and he'll know the password." Harry told them.
"You did what!? Harry why on earth would you be so stupid!?" James yelled.
"I love you! I'll write, I'm sure voldy shorts here will at least permit me that as long as it doesn't contain anything useful. I'm sure he has a special pen to prevent that." Harry joked as Tom threw a spell at them and they simply disappeared.
"Come along Hadrian. There is somebody I would very much like you to meet." Tom said once again leading the boy away and off on an unknown path.
-
Lily clung to James and cried. She couldn't believe her baby boy had done what he had. He had given up his freedom in order to save them. Sure he would have a proper education with Tom's governing system but he would also be in the hands of THE darkest known Dark Lord in current history!
Sirius ran up to the pair frantically.
"James! Lily! Where's cub!?" He yelled.
"He traded himself for us..." James informed mad but also finding a few tears in his eyes.
"Harry did what!?" Sirius yelled.
Just then the portkey activated. Sirius looked at the picture. 'No wonder he didn't tell me the portkey password. He planned this the entire time! Even knew what I would say! Jeez cub.... your too smart for your own good....' Sirius thought to himself. Things would be tough without his godson, the spitfire that gave life to the rebellion in the darkest days and never seemed to extinguish. Sure they had their best fighter and strongest mind back....but they would get their cub back too, they had to!
