lets talk about the good end. in the visual novel, the good end is where saber remains.

i find the good end disappointing

so

i decided i write my version of good end of unlimited blade works anime

i'll start from season 2 episode 7 of unlimited blade works anime

RIN'S POV

"let us get this over quickly. Lancer, dispose of that trash. The vessel has no need of the heart." Kirei ordered

so this is how it ends. damn it. i waited but nothing happen. lancer didnt move.

"what's the matter, lancer? your target is the little girl. killing her should be simple." kirei asked.

"i refuse. i cant obey you this time." lancer replied

im surprised.

"what?" kirei asked. he was also surprised.

"if you want to make me do it. you'll have to use a command seal." lancer said

"you leave me no choice then" kirei said. he unrolled his long sleeve showing his right arm with a lot of command seal. that's not fair.

no. i cant allow myself to die. I'll get to him first. i use my command seal.

Saber, kill kirei

then saber suddenly appeared and stab kirei.

kirei was surprised. he didnt expect to see saber in front of him. he looked down and saw saber's sword in his stomach. blood flowed.

saber removed her sword. kirei fell on the floor. he is bleeding to death.

"lancer..." he muttered

"saber! cut his right arm!"i order

saber quickly chopped down his right arm.

kirei lost his right arm. he realized he is helpless. he's staring at us like he's seeing a ghost.

saber pointed her sword to lancer

"saber, dont" i order

saber was surprised. she went to me and untie me.

"saber, where's shirou and archer?" i asked

"they're in the hall. they're killing each other in archer's reality marble." saber answered

"saber, quick. go back there. dont let archer killed shirou." i order

saber left.

kirei is still grasping of his breath. you deserve this. you! fake priest!

i pointed my hand on him. i will fire a gandr. im going to give him the finishing blow. this is for my father, for myself and those you have fooled. this is the only mercy i can give him. im not gonna prolong his suffering.

my heart pounds faster. my arms are shaking. come on. this will be all over. why cant i fire?

then lancer place his hands on my arms. "dont. once you crossed this path, you'll become a different person." he said. then he suddenly stabbed his lance to kirei's heart.

i was surprised. kirei was his master "dont worry about that. i have done worse things." lancer said

"you defy him. kirei is your master and you killed him" i said

"he steal me from my original master and killed her. thanks to you, i was able to avenge her death." lancer said

"lancer, what are you going to do now? you're in need of a master" i asked

"dont know." lancer shrugged "but thanks for the concern." he winked and smiled at me

"I cant let you go that easily, Tohsaka! It wouldn't be fair to me, not after I've been so patient" shinji screamed

Jeez. I forgot shinji is here.

"stupid kid. You aren't worthy to touch that woman." Lancer said

"I wont grant you a painless death, got it? Hey, that's your cue, Gilgamesh! This guy says he wants a hero's death." Shinji screamed

Shinji seems confident. We waited for Gilgamesh to appear but he didn't.

"hey, come on. What the hell is he doing? Aren't you listening? I said get your ass over here!" shini panicked

Lancer come near shinji and he pointed his spear to his heart. Shinji cried and ran. What a coward.

"we better get going" lancer said and he set the room on fire.

I head to where archer and shirou is fighting. Lancer followed me.

"shirou! Archer!" I screamed

They just recently got out from archer's reality marble.

Shirou won. I couldn't believe it. He was able to defeat archer. Shirou got wounds. Archer got stabbed

"archer, how did you got hurt like that?" I asked

"in any case, the matter's been settled. Now that I have accepted him, the hero emiya can no longer stay here. The defeated should take the leave at once." Archer said

"no! im not gonna let you leave like that" I said

Archer was surprised

Before I could talk to him, saber screamed. "Archer!"

Archer got pierced with swords in his back.

"that was most entertaining. A truly pointless fight between two fakes." Gilgamesh said

Saber was shocked to see Gilgamesh.

"it has been ten years, saber" Gilgamesh greeted saber

Gilgamesh gives a prep talk to archer and shirou about them being fakers. Gilgamesh was offended by them as fakers. Then he opens his gate of Babylon. A lot of swords and spear appear in the air. Then he fire.

Archer pushed shirou away. Shirou is safe. Archer got hit and was pinned on the floor. Then he disappeared.

"archer!" I screamed and cried.

I fired a gandr shot to Gilgamesh but my shot didn't hit him.

Gilgamesh opens his gate of Babylon again. Swords and spears appear in the air. Saber went to shirou to protect him and lancer went to me to protect me.

"what are you doing here, archer?" saber asked

I was surprised. Saber called Gilgamesh archer.

Swords and spears disappear.

"after the previous war end, I remained in this world instead of disappearing." Gilgamesh answered

"that's impossible." Saber said

Then Gilgamesh tell us the truth about the holy grail. All of us are shocked.

What shocked us more is Gilgamesh plans to use the holy grail to eradicate humans. Those who survive will be rule by Gilgamesh.

Swords and spears appear in the air again. "let us pick up where we left off ten years ago" Gilgamesh said. He was ready to fire when the einzbern castle is collapsing.

Swords and spears disappear. Gilgamesh walks away. "I have slain my true target. I shall call it a day." Gilgamesh said and finally left.

(SAME IN THE ANIME: SHINJI BECOMES THE VESSEL OF THE HOLY GRAIL)

We hurriedly went out of the castle and head to shirou's place.

Damn it. I forgot about lancer, he is slowly disappearing.

I use my command seal to terminate the contract I had with saber. Saber and shirou were surprised.

"saber, you can go back and form a contract with shirou" I said

Both saber and shirou were happy.

"don't just stand there" I reminded them "saber, go and tend shirou's wounds." I order

Saber and shirou went inside.

I come near lancer

"be my master, rin. I'll avenge archer for you" lancer said

"I was thinking of the same thing. But lancer, are you sure you want me to be your new master? Are you fine with avenging archer for me? You hated archer." I asked

"I wont mind if it's you. Now, let's take the oath" lancer said

"my will creates your body and your spear shall create my destiny. If you heed my call and obey my will and reason, then answer me. Do so and I will entrust you my destiny." I said

"on my honor as a lancer, I accept your oath. I accept you as a master, rin" lancer said

Command seals appear on my right hand.

We head inside. Saber is tending shirou's wounds.

I grab the pendant in my pocket. I cant believe it Archer is gone. After everything he has done, I didn't hate him. I wanted to hate him but i cant. I wanted to beat him so much. There are a lot of things I wanted to ask and I wanted to say. If I can, I want to save him.

(SAME ANIME: EVERYONE AGREED TO DESTROY THE HOLY GRAIL.)

"we will distract gilgamesh until you stop the grail." Saber said

"as soon as we stop the grail, we'll come running" I said

"no that's crazy" shirou objected.

We were surprised when he said that. What makes him think it was a crazy idea.

"saber and lancer, are no match for Gilgamesh" shirou said

"what makes you say that, boy?" lancer asked

"as a swordsman, gilgamesh is no match for you. No matter how skilled both of you are, you cant defeat war itself. Gilgamesh is that kind of heroic spirit. You have to be war itself or else you'll be swallowed as a whole." Shirou explained

"then you're saying we're mismatched opponent?" saber asked

"we cant send them to fight Gilgamesh without a plan. They need an opening or something at least" shirou suggested

"like you said, his noble phantasm is war itself. On top of that Gilgamesh is a servant who specialized in killing heroic spirits" I said

"to beat him, we need to have an armory equal to equal his..." I paused

Crap. Realization comes to me. The hill filled with weapons. Archer's unlimited bladeworks.

"what? Why did you stop in mid sentence?" shirou asked

No wonder why Gilgamesh treated archer as his sworn enemy. archer is a heroic spirit without his own noble phantasm wouldn't have an original weapon.

Unlimited blade works vs gate of Babylon. This will work but archer is gone which means only shirou can beat gilgmesh. But shirou in his current level.

"if you have something to say, spit it out. You have an idea right?" Shirou asked

"I don't. I cant tell you here" I screamed

I cant tell them that shirou will fight Gilgamesh. It's crazy.

They wondered what I am thinking.

"anyway, the existing plan should be fine. We carry it out before dawn. Until then everyone should go to their rooms and get a plenty of rest" I said

I opened the door and was about to leave then when I turned to saber and said "I have something to discuss with you saber" after that, I finally left

(SAME ANIME: SHIROU HEARD RIN AND SABER. SABER LEFT. SHIROU WENT TO RIN'S ROOM. SHIROU WILL FIGHT GILGAMESH. RIN HAVE A MANA TRANSFER WITH SHIROU. RIN ALSO HAVE A MANA TRANSFER WITH SABER BEFORE. SHIROU SAW RINS PAST MEMORY.)

"tohsaka, there was a crazy dream. Like I was in a schoolyard somewhere, watching some guy doing high jumps like an idiot until the sun sets. What the heck was that" shirou said

Shit. He didn't realize he was that idiot. And that was me who was watching you.This is embarrassing.

I grab a pillow and throw it to him. "what was that for?" shirou asked.

Then I grab another one and start hitting him. "shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" I screamed

Suddenly, lancer appeared. "okay it's my turn for that mana transfer" lancer said

"shirou get out!" I ordered

"you heard her" lancer said

Shirou left.

Then I throw a pillow to lancer and I also grab another one and start hitting. "you saw everything! Did you?" I asked

"of course, I do" lancer answered

I start hitting him faster and harder.

Then lancer grab the pillow from me and throw it out. "enough of this. Now, for my mana transfer" lancer said then he removed his top.

I blushed. What a beautiful muscular body.

"rin, I'm waiting" lancer reminded me. He's sitting in the bed.

"no mana transfer with you" I said.

"what!" lancer was disappointed.

"you don't need one. The good thing about your class is you have low mana consumption every time you used your noble phantasm. Because of that, you can use your noble phantasm multiple times." I explained

I can see how sad lancer is. But im sure he is not after my mana. He just want to experience what saber and shirou experienced.

"lancer, you'll be fine. and also im having trouble in keeping up supplying those two with my mana. Shirou's unlimited blade works to beat Gilgamesh and saber's Excalibur to destroy the grail." I added

"I see." It seems like lancer understand my decision.

(SAME ANIME: SABER AND SHIROU'S CONVERSATION.)

I cant rest. I went out of my room. Lancer appeared "you should be resting."

"I'll be fine lancer." I said

Lancer can tell I have a lot of things bothering in my mind. He also notice the pendant I'm holding.

"man, I guess we both stuck with crappy partners, huh?" lancer asked

"you're right. but I think mine was more unmanageable than crappy." I answered

"that's for sure. Most humans are pain in the ass, but that guy takes the cake. So he was too much, even for you?" lancer asked

"yes but that's what made me try so hard. As long as archer was my servant, I swore to myself that I would do what I believe in. I hate to say it, but im not the one to save him. Because I think he's right. his choices. His regret over them... I think they're all justified. Im so dispassionate when it comes to that stuff, I even angered myself.so all I can do is focus on myself. Just like certain someone once did, I'll keep on going down the path I believe in. that's the only gesture I can make. That's all I can do to repay him." I answered

Lancer smiled and said "I wish I could have had a woman like you as a partner, but I never did have any luck at finding good women. damn it all. I guess that will never change, no matter how many times I tried." Lancer said

"I didn't know you long, lancer but I like people like you." I said

"silly girl. Come see me again when you have a few more years on you." Lancer said

Shirou and saber appeared. "tohsaka, it's time to go." Shirou said

"right" I answered

THE PLAN: SABER AND LANCER WILL KEEP GILGAMESH BUSY. SHIROU AND I WILL SAVE SHINJI. AFTER WE SAVE SHINJI, SHIROU AND SABER WILL SWITCH. SABER DESTROYS THE GRAIL. LANCER AND SHIROU WILL BEAT GILGAMESH. AFTER DESTROYING THE GRAIL, SABER WILL GO BACK AND BEAT GILGaMESH IF SHIROU AND LANCER FAIL TO BEAT HIM.

Shirou and I headed in the lake while lancer and saber will enter to the gates of ryudoo temple.

We finally found shinji. We were about to rescue him when we we're interrupted by Gilgamesh.

We we're shocked. This is impossible. How come gilgamesh is here. Where is saber and lancer?

(SAME ANIME: CONVERSATION THEY HAD)

Gilgamesh was about to kill me when shirou protect me.

Shirou is fighting Gilgamesh. I need to save shinji fast.

Damn it. I need to hurry.

LANCER's POV

We are on our way to the gate when suddenly assassin was standing in our way.

"I have been waiting. Im glad that you arrive in time, saber." Assassin greeted us

We were surprised. How come assassin is still here. Caster is gone. He too should be gone.

(SAME ANIME: THE TRUTH ABOUT ASSASSIN BEING A FALSE SERVANT.)

"get out of our way" I screamed

"Guarding this gate no longer has no meaning." saber said

"my fighting has never had any meaning." Assassin said

Then our weapons clashed.

(SAME ANIME: GILGAMESH TOYING WITH SHIROU.)

This is bad. Assassin, saber and I were close to each other. If we disengage, he will use his sword technique.

"is it wise to pull your blows? In this position I could send both of you flying." Assassin said

"are you provoking me, bastard?" Im pissed

"I have come to force an end to to our contest, saber. When in a duel, don't let your mind wander what comes after." Assassin talking to saber.

"why do you hesitate? Just as I guard this gate, you guard something on your own. So there is no room for doubt. Besides you are not the only one who is running out of time." Assassin added

"you're right. we're both out of time" I pulled saber and throw her to the gates. I was lucky to avoid assassin's technique.

"lancer!" saber screamed

"I know you have unfinished business with assassin but you have to help them." I said

Saber hesitated.

"don't get me wrong. I could have left you behind and rescue them but your noble phantasm, an anti-fortress is the only thing that can destroy the grail. My noble phantasm is just an anti-unit. Saber, go. Leave this guy to me." I said

"well, then, lancer. I'll leave assassin to you. Im going to save them and destroy the grail. forgive me, assassin. And don't get yourself killed" Then saber left

Assassin chase saber but I will not let him follow her.

"sorry to disappoint you but I'll be your opponent." And pointed my spear to him,

"I shall claim that head of yours." Assassin said

Then our weapons clashed

(SAME ANIME: SABER SAVES SHIROU. SHIROU ASKED SABER TO RESCUE RIN. SHIROU VS GILGAMESH)

RIN'S POV

"rin? Where are you?" saber screamed

"Saber?" Finally, she's here.

Saber ran to rescue me but I stopped her. "don't saber! No matter what happens don't step the muck" I ordered

"then hurry to this side , rin. If you can get clear, I shall see to the rest." saber said

Suddenly, the muck swallowed us. I tried to crawl our way out. It's useless.

"that jerk is really guzzling my mana." I commented

Then I notice my skin is being swallowed by curses. "this is it I guess. But I wont let it end like this. Saber, destroy the holy grail right now." I order.

I can hear saber screaming "rin! Get out of there."

Saber hesitated.

"Please saber. Destroy the grail. You cant save us but you can save the people out there. Sorry I couldn't save you shinji." I said

I close my eyes. This is it. So this is how it ends.

"I refuse to listen to such pathetic whining." Archer said

Archer? Is that really archer?

Arrows were fired and we are free from the muck.

I cant believe it. We were save by archer.

"now go, rin" archer ordered

"hurry, rin" saber screamed.

This is our chance. We made it to the other side.

"saber! Use all of my mana if you have to. Blast this holy grail so hard that there wont be a single piece left." I ordered

Then I fell to the ground. Im exhausted.

Then I can see saber fill herself with light. She raises her sword and activated her noble phantasm. Then blast the holy grail.

The holy grail was destroyed. There was no muck left. The lake is back to its original state.

Saber remained

(SAME ANIME: SHIROU BEATS GILGAMESH. GILGAMESH WAS ABOUT TO KILL SHIROU WHEN ARCHER SAVE HIM)

LANCER FINALLY DEFEATED ASSASSIN. IN HIS 4TH TRY, GAE BOLG FINALLY PIERCE ASSASSIN'S HEART. SABER AND LANCER CAME TO SHIROU. THEY WERE SURPRISED HE WAS ABLE TO DEFEAT GILGAMESH AND SURVIVE.

The sun is rising. Archer where are you? Damn it. He made it this far without a master. He's going to vanish. I need to hurry. I hope im not to late.

Finally, I found archer. He was watching the sun rise.

"archer!" I called him

I ran to him. Then I stopped to catch my breath.

What should I say?

"it's unfortunate but that's how it is.give up on the grail this time, rin." Then he laughed

Seriously?

"what's with that? This is the hardly the time for laughing!" I scolding him

"my apologies. I couldn't help it, given your state. I was amused that you and I cut such sorry figures." Archer said

I need to save archer.

"archer, make a pact with me again." I asked

"I cant do that. I doubt I have that right. besides, I no longer have a goal. My battle ends here." Archer said

"but... but this means you'll... no matter how much time passes, you'll never be saved." I said.

I cant control myself. I finally cried.

Archer was surprised. After everything I've been through with him, I still forgive him. I wanted to hate him but I cant.

Archer looked at me. Damn it. His hair was down. He really looked shirou.

"oh man. Rin. Look after me. As you know, im a bit hopeless. Give me a shoulder to lean on." Archer said.

"idiot!. You look out for him" I said

"I will try my hardest to make sure he doesn't end up a twisted jerk like you. Im pretty sure he'll try to learn to like himself. So you do the same" I added

Archer finally smile. This smile is unique. It is not a smile full of sarcasm. He look cute.

"I have my answer. Don't worry, tohsaka. I'll try my best from now on, too." Archer replied

Shit. He is disappearing

"archer, don't go!" I begged

"you have a pact with lancer." Archer reminded me

"lancer will be my servant but I can have you as my familiar" I said

Archer hesitated

"don't you ever dare to leave me. If you do, I will make sure you'll regret it. I will bring you back and make your life miserable again." I threatened him

"you're still stubborn." Archer said

"archer, i hereby propose your existence will anchor to my existence. Be my familiar and I'll find a way to free your contract to the world. If I fail, go back being a counter guardian when I die. While im still living, Use this opportunity to have a life other than being a hero of justice." I propose

"and I accept your oath, rin. Im archer. And starting from now, im your familiar." Archer said

Im glad. I cant hold myself any longer. I hugged him.

Archer was surprised and he hugged me back.

Then I can hear them calling us "tohsaka! Rin!"

They were surprised to see archer. Shirou seems pissed but he smiled when he looked at me.

"let's go home. Tohsaka." Shirou said

EPILOGUE

(SAME ANIME: RIN ASKED SHIROU TO COME WITH HER TO LONDON TO STUDY MAGIC AT MAGE ASSOCIATION)

SABER LIVES WITH SHIROU

LANCER AND ARCHER LIVE WITH RIN

ARCHER STILL ACTS AS RIN'S BUTLER EVEN IF RIN REFUSED BUT IN THE END RIN GIVES UP AND LET ARCHER DO WHAT HE WANTS

AFTER SHIROU AND RIN GRADUATED

"archer, take good care of my mansion while im gone. And don't do anything stupid" I ordered

Archer is silent as he prepares and checks my luggage.

"you're still pissed that im bringing shirou along. I thought we have talked about this" I said

Archer didnt said anything.

I give up.

I went to see lancer.

"still chasing woman's skirt?" I greeted him

"are you sure you're not gonna bring us along?" lancer asked

"lancer, we are not on war anymore. And you don't have to act as my servant. I have given both you and archer freedom. This is your second life so do what you want to do. as long as you don't give me headache. " I said

"yeah yeah" lancer said and smiled

"I have a request. Im gonna apologize. Im sure you wont like it" I said

So Lancer knew

"right" I said

Tomorrow is the day I will leave for London.

The next day

Archer accompany me to the airport. He is still cold and silent

Archer was surprised.

Shirou came and said "tohsaka we need to get in the plane"

FIRST DAY IN LONDON, SHIROU GOT LOST AND MEET LUVIA. LUVIA RENT THE WHOLE APARTMENT WHERE SHIROU AND RIN STAY. SHIROU AND RIN LIVE IN ONE ROOM EVEN IF THE OTHER ROOMS WERE AVAILABLE.

(SAME ANIME: SHIROU SERVING RIN BREAKFAST)

Then someone knock the door. Who could that be? Maybe luvia?

I went to open the door and I was shocked to see archer.

"archer? What are you doing here?" I asked

Shirou was shocked

"why are you here? How did you get in?" shirou asked and pissed

"I introduce myself as your uncle and rin's butler. Now excuse me but you need to transfer to the other room" archer said

Then archer throw shirou's stuff out and dragged shirou out of the room we stay. Shirou was pissed. He hold himself back since he don't want to start a fight.

"archer what the hell is that? Barging in? scolding me?" I asked

"you're living in a room with a man. There were other rooms. He should stay there. Anyway the lady is too kind to that boy." archer said

"and why are you here in my room? Just like what you said, there were other rooms available. You should stay there. Anyway, luvia will surely welcome you since you introduce yourself as shirou's uncle. So get out" and im firing archer with a gandr.

But archer was so fast. He dodge them all. Then he comes near me and grabbed my arm. He leans closer

"remember what you told me before you leave. archer, you know where I will be" archer reminded me

Oh I remember

"sounds like your telling to come after you. Now im here. Oh don't worry, the dog is watching your place." Archer added

"but I still don't get it why you're still in my room?!?!" I asked angrily

"you gave me freedom. I'll do what I want to do. Im your butler." Archer answered

Oh great! I cant believe it this is happening

"and the butler stays near the master side" archer added

I didn't notice lancer's missed calls. And I was too late to read his message. That archer was on his way here in London. Lancer was really pissed.

(SAME ANIME: LUVIA, SHIROU & RIN SCENE AT SCHOOL. LUVIA VS RIN. SCENE AT THE LIBRARY)

A week later, archer was surprised to see saber.

"saber im glad you're finally here. Get in" I said

"what is the meaning of this?" archer asked

"it's time for you to leave this room archer." I said

"what?" archer screamed

"you're the one who told me it's bad to have a man living with you in the same room. That's why you drag shirou out. Same goes with you. You're also a man. So I take saber as my room mate." I said

"im your butler" archer reasoned out

"you also told me that butler stays on master side. But it doesn't necessarily mean you have to stay in the same room with your master. So take the nearest room, archer." I said

Archer was pissed. And he finally transfer to the nearest room.

"sorry, for all the trouble I cause you saber. In the end, You, lancer and archer still act as our servant even if we've given you freedom" I said

"its okay, rin. it doesn't change the fact were still a servant. Our existence remains because of the pact we had. And our power as a servant remains." Saber replied

"I really do hope, you were able to live a life aside of that of a servant" I said

"we do. im sure lancer and archer do the same" saber said

"you're right. lancer doing jobs at the market, fishing and womanizing. Archer being my butler." I said

A week later, we decided to go on a picnic.

We were about to leave when lancer arrived in the apartment. We were surprised.

"it's totally unfair. You left me out. Archer leave first then the next thing I know saber followed." Lancer said

"so no one was watching my place" I said

"don't worry. I left the barrier active before I left." Lancer said

"I couldn't believe it this is happening. All of us here in London." Shirou commented

"oh I introduce myself as rin's boyfriend" lancer answered

And I punch him hard in his face.

"I was just joking. I introduce as saber's boyfriend" lancer answered

Saber didn't mind. Shirou seems bothered.

"why won't you place your bags in one of the rooms here. Then join us in our picnic." I said

When we arrive in our destination

"where are we?" shirou asked

"Glastonbury. Saber's grave. Saber im giving you space and time" I said

Archer and lancer accompany saber.

While shirou and I set the picnic area.

Archer, saber and lancer finally arrive.

"next time, let's visit my place in Ireland." Lancer suggested

"sure." I agreed

"thanks for bringing me here, rin" saber said

The next day

(SAME ANIME: SHIROU & WAVER"S CONVERSATION. RIN TALKING TO SHIROU. SHIROU TURNING DOWN THE MGE ASSOCIATION)

"so now it's my turn to drag you around with me, huh?' shirou asked

"sorry, shirou. I cant. I hope you understand. There are a lot of things I wanted to do. my mission is done. You'll be fine. You're not gonna end like archer. " I answered

"I understand, tohsaka" shirou answered
