The Fag Swag {31}

“Nick?” Mom cracked my door open and peered in.

She stepped in and covered her mouth with her hand as her eyes widened. She pulled her hand away and let out a squeal before rushing over and wrapping her arms around me.

“My baby boy is so handsome!” she gushed.

She released me and gripped my shoulders, eyeing me carefully before pulling me in to hug me again. Oh my lanta. This woman.

“Mom,” I said and squirmed uncomfortably.

She giggled and released me, eyeing me again. “Sorry Nicky. You just look so handsome! Oh, you dirty boy. You’re going to get laid tonight.” She sighed sadly. “I wish you would stop being so slutty and just respect yourself Nick.”

“Mom,” I groaned, face palming myself. “I need to go pick up Phil. I’m going to be late.”

Her eyes watered a little as she handed me the car keys. “Oh Nicky! Stop growing up! Why can’t you just be my little boy again?” she asked, wiping at her eyes.

I smiled at her softly and hugged her. “Mom, calm down. I’m just going on a date. We can watch Disney movies together this week if it makes you feel better,” I said gently.

She sniffed and nodded, patting my back so that she wouldn’t mess my hair up. I kissed her cheek before leaving and getting in the car.

I drove to Phil’s house and pulled into the driveway. Phil came out and got in the car. I frowned at him as he put on his seatbelt.

“Did your mom punish you?” I asked, looking at his eye. It looked like he had just been punched.

Surprisingly, Phil shook his head. I pulled out of the driveway as he checked his eye in the mirror and glared at his reflection.

“One of my mom’s boyfriends pissed her off. He wouldn’t leave the house no matter how many times she asked, so I tried to make him. He hit me, and my mom chased him out,” he said, gently touching his eyes and wincing a little.

I bit my lip. “Phil, you really love your mom, huh?”

He looked at me in surprise. “What the fuck kind of question is that Nick? Of course I love my mom,” he said in confusion.

“I was just wondering. She seems to punish you a lot is all,” I said quietly.

He shrugged. “Because I misbehave a lot. That’s all. She’s a great mom. She buys me things and feeds me and cares for me even though she doesn’t have a lot of money. I love my mom.”

I mentally groaned. She was terrible to him, but how could I plot to get him away from her? Phil loved his mom. He would hate me forever if I got them separated.

I pushed it out of my mind. I could talk to my dad about that later. For now, I just grabbed Phil’s hand and smiled at him, loving him.

I pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant we were meeting Shaw and his boyfriend, Chandler, at. We got out of the car and I smiled as I saw Shaw and Chandler standing by the door.

“Nick!” Shaw cheered and launched himself into my arms.

I caught him and stumbled back, struggling to get my balance back and hold onto Shaw. I managed to steady myself and rolled my eyes.

“Normal people just say hello,” I pointed out.

“Ah! But my mommy and daddy say that I’m not normal!” Shaw said happily.

“They’re right,” Chandler grumbled and Shaw pouted.

Phil cleared his throat loudly and glared at Shaw. Shaw jumped out of my arms and bounced over to Chandler.

“Uh…Hi Phil. We met at the gas station. I’m Shaw. This is Chandler.” Shaw shoved Chandler forward. “KILL HIM NOT ME!”

“Shaw!” Chandler snapped in annoyance. “Jesus I feel like I’m babysitting!”

Shaw stuck his tongue out at Chandler and I laughed. I took Phil’s hand in mine and squeezed it, kissing his cheek.

“Let’s go inside and eat,” I said and they nodded.

We went inside and were seated at a table. We all grabbed our menus and began to scan through them. I rested my head on Phil’s shoulder and he wrapped an arm around my waist, kissing my forehead.

A waiter came and took our drink orders before leaving us. I fished around my brain for something to say to break the silence that had fallen over the four of us.

“So, have you guys had sex?” Shaw asked and Chandler elbowed him, rolling his eyes.

Phil and I nodded and I raised my eyebrow at Shaw. “What about you? Your mom always threatens to kill you.”

“Psh. Nick, do you honestly think someone as good looking as me could be a virgin?” Shaw asked, winking and slinging an arm around Chandler’s shoulders.

Shaw paused before chuckling. “You and Chandler lost your virginity around the same time! Aw, that’s cute,” he said, pinching Chandler’s cheek. Chandler slapped his hand off and rolled his eyes.

“You’re just jealous that I’m hotter than you,” I said smugly.

“Psh! Bitch, I could get laid that much too. But I’m not a stupid slut,” he said, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow at me.

“Hey!” Phil said, glaring at him. “Don’t insult Nick. He’s not a stupid slut.”

“Phil, it’s okay. Shaw and I are just joking around,” I said, laughing.

“Oh,” Phil said, slipping into his childlike mode. I mentally sighed and smiled at him lightly. He was so adorably vicious.

Oh my lanta. My boyfriend was like a puppy. We really were gay.

The waiter came back and took our orders before collecting the menus and leaving. I sipped on my soda.

“So what are we doing after we eat?” Shaw asked, bouncing a little. Chandler placed a hand on his shoulder to hold him down.

“We can go for a hike if you guys want. There’s a trail up the road a little,” I said with a shrug.

“Yea! That’ll be perfect! We can work off the food we eat!” Shaw said happily.

The food came and we all dug in, eating hungrily. We finished eating and paid before leaving and walking up the road to the hiking trail.

“It’ll probably get dark while we’re still on the trail. Oh this will be so exciting!” Shaw cheered.

“Yea, it’ll be like a horror movie,” I said sarcastically.

“The sexy blonds always die first,” he said with a wink.

I raised an eyebrow and pointed at Chandler. Chandler pouted and ran a hand through his own blond hair.

“Blonds die first. That means you and Chandler. Then Phil will probably die defending himself. Then I escape and make it to the sequel!” Shaw said brightly.

“Oh my lanta. Let’s just go for the walk,” I said, rolling my eyes.

We entered the trail and walked, keeping up casual conversation as we did so. Eventually, we made it to a small clearing and pushed through it.

“Well look at that! Beautiful scenery right as the sun is setting! How wonderfully cliché!” Shaw said.

Before us laid a sparkle lake. Bright green trees surrounded it, and the sun was setting just beyond them. The clouds were an alluring mixture of purple and faded red as the sun dipped lower.

We sat down and Phil pulled me into his lap, hugging me tightly and kissing me. I rested my head on his shoulder as we watch the sun disappear.

“Well, that was lovely. Who’s up for a foursome?” Shaw offered after the sun was gone.

“You’re fucking disgusting,” Chandler said, sighing.

We laughed and stood up. It was starting to get dark now without the sun, and we were about an hour or so into the trail. Getting back would take some time.

We began to walk on the trail again, taking out our phones to use them as flashlights. Phil took my hand in his and stayed close to me since he didn’t have a phone.

My foot caught on something and I let out a slight yell as I lost my grip on Phil’s hand and stumbled to the side. I let out another yell as I realized that we had been walking on a steep path.

I tumbled down, somersaulting and twisting awkwardly. I was slamming into rocks and sticks as I fell for what seemed like forever.

I finally thumped onto flat ground and let out a slight groan. I looked up and my eyes widened a little. Oh my lanta I had fallen quite a ways.

                “Nick!” Phil cried in horror.

“I’m okay,” I called back quickly. I wasn’t sure if I really was okay or not, but I didn’t want to worry poor Phil just because I was a stupid klutz.

I moved to stand up and yelped as pain exploded in my ankle. I fell back to the ground and let out a hiss of pain.

                “Nick!” Phil cried again.

“My ankle,” I called back, gritting my teeth together.

I looked up and saw Phil making his careful way down to me. He slid a little at the end but managed not to fall. He dropped next to me and carefully pulled me into his lap.

“Shaw just called your dad to come get us out of here,” he said, kissing me gently. “You’ll be okay.”

“I know. I’m sorry I ruined the date,” I said, feeling guilty. Leave it to me to do something this stupid and ruin a perfectly good night.

“You didn’t ruin anything Nick. Jeez, you tripped!” Phil cried. “It could’ve happened to any of us. I’m just glad you didn’t snap your neck.”

“Yea, that might have sucked a little,” I grumbled sarcastically.

Phil kissed me again and frowned deeply. “Nick, I’m really glad you’re okay. You could’ve really hurt yourself,” he whispered. “I felt your hand slip out of mine and then I saw you falling sideways I just…fuck, I don’t know. I wanted to jump after you. I couldn’t move though. All I could do was watch you fall and just hope you didn’t get hurt. I’m sorry.”

“Phil, don’t worry about it. Really. It was just an accident,” I assured, kissing him deeply.

Despite the circumstances, I smiled at Phil. “I love you so much Phil Brooks,” I whispered.

“I love you too Nick,” Phil said, leaning down and kissing me.

He tightened his arms around me as we waited for my dad to come help us out. I took Phil’s hand in mine and squeezed, just happy we were together. And tonight, I would talk to my dad and figure out what to do about Phil's mom.

A.N.- Okay, if you've read chapter 5 of Let The Games Begin, feel free to disregard this ;D Anyways, there was this facebook fight thing going on between me and this kid who attacked my best friend. Well, the kid's sister decided to jump in and you said to me, and I quote word for incorrect word, "So don't think you're high school education that you haven't even received yet is smarter than mine."  <-This is why I hate stupid people, and why they should not be allowed to breed.

Anywhore! :)

This story is almost over. Sooo...yea. Woo hoo for crazy Shaw!
