Arya POV-I awaken in the darkness.There's a gag in my mouth.I'm surrounded by amethysts and when I see them I know exactly what has happened.I've seen this before.In the tunnels under Helgrind there were these amethysts that blocked magic and mind contact.
Then, everything changed. Suddenly I was in an open field, surrounded by all of my past enemies. I knew automatically that someone was changing my senses. I just sat down and waited for the men, elves, and kull to stop inflicting pain. After what seemed like hours, I was in a damp stone room. I saw Eragon, Roran, and Katrina. Eragon still had his armor. Roran still had his hammer. Katrina was holding what I thought was Ismara's blanket. They explained how the mad eldanari had cast a spell to take us here. Then they told me that everyone was wrong and Galbatorix hadn't come back to life but that a shade was holding us captive. Eragon said that he already had tried the name of names but that when he did, he had to endure excruciating pain for three minutes. I tried reaching out wit my mind but found that the mad Zn were guarding us. "This is it", I said. "There's truly no way out. The last part I said in the ancient language to show that I truly believed this. Then, out of nowhere, our chains vanished. Then, we heard a strange, rumbling voice. "There is only one way out" it stated. "You must all say your true names." When the voice ended, the room seemed more empty than before. I knew what was happening. We had to state our true names to escape but then the shade would use them against us. Even if I was wrong, which I highly doubted, we would still be stuck in here for quite a while because Roran and Katrina would have to discover their true names too. Before I had time to think any more, a strange man came through a hole in the floor.
