Chapter Three

Side Note: I redid Chapters One and Two because I disliked the direction they were heading in... Check it out! :) (^_^)/* - as of 12/12/16.

Em leaned on me as we got out of the bus. She'd sprained her ankle walking down the aisle - yes, walking. Em insisted, "It's not bad. I'll be fine with a day's rest."

"You don't have a day's rest," her mum frowned, joining us, "You have to take your things straight up to your new dorm and then you're getting your map, schedule etcetera, etcetera."

Em let out a small whimper and Principal Wednesday let out a slight bit of remorse, "Emily... I'll see if I can get you some crutches from the doctors inside."

"Thank you," she responded, still leaning heavily on me.

"Em," I winced. It wasn't that Emily was heavy or anything... I was just more flexible than muscular. "I can't exactly..."

"Huh?" she asked, but too late because I collapsed under her weight.

Principal Wednesday caught her daughter, but I landed flat on my back, winding myself. I placed a hand on my stomach, trying to breathe. I opened my eyes and gratefully took the hand that was stretched out to me. The person helped me up and I dusted off my plaid skirt, "Thanks... I'm not really good with this whole... coordination thing."

"Are you okay?" the boy's voice was slightly hesitant, but I'd recognise the huskiness of it anywhere.

I slowly looked up to see the familiar blue eyes descending on me. I grinned brightly, "Shawn!"

My twin wrapped me in a hug really quickly and gasped, "I didn't even see that it was you!"

I laughed, "Goof!"

He let me go, "Lemme look at ya! You've grown taller already."

I rolled my eyes, "Shut up. We both know I'm a midget."

Whitney let out a cough, "Soo... Nat..." her eyes raked my twin up and down and I involuntarily shivered, "Who's this?"

"Ladies," I said, "This is my twin brother, Shawn."

He nodded once, "Nice to meet y'all. And you must be Principal Wednesday. I'm vice-S.B.P. of the boys' school."

Principal Wednesday shook his hand reluctantly, "Vice? I take it that means that you aren't the best then."

"No ma'am. No one at our school could compare to Christian Park," my brother answered truthfully.

I smiled lightly at his honesty. Last Christmas, Shawn had gone on and on about Christian Park. Forward for the rugby union team, student body president, only ever receives As and Bs. To anybody, Christian Park receiving a C would be a scandal. And that's a direct quote from Shawn, by the way. I'd never even seen a photo of this guy.

Principal Wednesday nodded once, "Well, where's Headmaster Rogers? I better say hello before we get the students settled."

"You'll find he's puking into the bushes, ma'am," Shawn scratched the back of his neck, "He doesn't do too well with any form of motion..."

Principal Wednesday wrinkled her nose, but none-the-less moved towards the crowd of boys.

I glared at Whitney, who was busy eyeing my brother's V-line as his shirt had moved up when he scratched his neck. Shawn dropped his arm, "Nice meeting you girls. See ya later, Nattie." He glanced at Whitney once more, who was almost drooling over him - cue my shudder. Then Shawn moved back to his group.

Whitney sighed loudly, "Your brother is so hot."

Em smacked my arm, "I'm your bestie - how come I've never seen your secret hot twin brother before?"

I wrinkled my nose, "You guys are disgusting..."

***

Dr Demonico was a short, stout woman with a pretty, heart-shaped face. She continued calling out the names and dorm rooms of people, oblivious to Dr Weston who was blatantly ogling her for all of us to see. It would have been funny, if half the girls in my year weren't blatantly ogling him, and if half the guys in the year weren't blatantly ogling them. Now it was just pathetic. Bree nudged my side, "Everyone's lusting each other. It's just a cycle..."

I grinned, "I know right."

"Christian Park," Dr Demonico called out.

"Present," a deep, velvety voice answered. It was sexy - in all meaning of the word - but it chilled me to the bone. I'd heard that voice somewhere before, but I was positive I've never met Christian Park before. Maybe I'd overheard one of Shawn's video chats last holidays or something... Yeah.

"Dorm Room 16."

Two more students with the last name beginning with 'P' were called out, then someone with the last name 'Quan'. Finally, "Natalie Roberts."

"Present."

"Dorm Room 32."

I memorised that to myself. 32. 32. 32.

It had been decided that since there were 48 boys and, miraculously, 48 girls - enough for four classes including both genders, I think - two people would dorm together - decided by the Principal.

"Shawn Roberts."

"Present."

"Dorm Room 16."

I rolled my eyes. Of course... Shawn's roomed with his idol.

There were 24 rooms running up one side of the hall, and 24 down the other side. The left was strictly guys, and the right was strictly girls. No guy is allowed alone in a room with a girl and vice versa. Me and Emily pushed open the door to our dorm and she let out a squeal, "It's all blue! Yes!"

I rolled my eyes.

Technically, it was partially blue. The furniture was a mix of timber, white and blue. The ceiling was white, the walls were a pretty sky blue and the carpet was a dark grey. Emily grinned, "Finally - after three and a half years - we get to dorm together!"

I jokingly rolled my eyes, "Shoot me now."

She laughed, "You'll annoy the shiz out of me first."

I'd only just finished putting stuff away into drawers and our connected bathroom to Room 33 when there was a small knock on the door. Em shouted from the bathroom, "Answer it!"

No. I don't think I will.

The sarcasm is heavy...

I opened the door and Shawn grinned, "Hey twin."

"Hey goof," I replied.

He scowled, "Can I see your place?"

I opened the door so he could peer in. I doubt the fact that we're twins would help the 'girls and boys in the room at the same time' rule. He nodded, "All blue. I've got all black, actually."

"Can I see?" I grinned.

"Only of course, Nattie."

I closed my door behind me and stepped across the hall. His room was directly across from mine. He pushed it open, "Hey, Chris? You decent?"

"Yeah, man," replied that same husky voice.

I stepped towards the doorframe and peered in. He was right - everything was black, except the ceiling and carpet. There was hardly any light in there, actually...

That was the first thing I noticed.

The second thing was, "You've already trashed your room, Shawn."

He shrugged at the clothes all across his bed, "They aren't mine. They're Christian's. He's a messy packer."

"No, I'm not," the voice said, with slight amusement.

The boy was the last thing I noticed before I ran away.

Perfect brown hair styled into a quiff, tanned lean muscle across his arms, gorgeous reddish-brown eyes and a ghost of a smile on his face. He noticed me at the same time I noticed him.

He was literally the guy from my dreams.

I murmured, "No way."

At the same time he murmured, "Are you fucking kidding me?"

Our eyes both widened in recognition and I spun around, running right for my bathroom before I vomited in the toilet bowl.

He was there.

Christian Park.

"Park...ah," I muttered.

The guy I'd never seen before but had been dreaming about for the last few years.

And it seemed he knew me too.
