Brendon lifted his head. Dallon's head still rested on his arms, causing pinpricks of tingles to spread through the limbs. He called out to his boyfriend weakly, but Dallon didn't respond.

Brendon somehow managed to gently pull his arms out from under Dallon's head. He tried to shake away the pinprick feeling. It took a few minutes, but it eventually began to fade. He then turned his attention back to Dallon.

Dallon seemed to be sleeping soundly. His chest rose and fell evenly. His face was calm as if no dreams played behind his eyelids. He didn't respond to Brendon's attempts to wake him, so Brendon pulled away.

That's when he remembered.

The demon had brought them here.

Brendon climbed to his feet as quickly as he could. He looked back and forth, but he and Dallon were the only ones in the room. The demon had simply vanished.

"Hello?" Brendon called out to the darkness. Somehow, he could feel the lack of the demon's presence. The room was lighter. The shadows weren't as thick as they had been with the demon in the room.

Dallon stirred next to Brendon.

"Hey!" Brendon knelt down beside Dallon. "Wake up, you're okay... Right?" He placed his hand on Dallon's cheek asking his blue eyes opened.

"What?.." Dallon shut his eyes again. He drew his arms close to his chest and bent his legs closer to his torso. "I don't feel so good..."

"I'm here, babe, I've got you." Brendon assured him. "Let me help you up."

Dallon gripped Brendon's arm tightly as he pulled him upright. He looked dazed and tired. "Where... What happened?.." He looked at Brendon with confusion, "Brendon?"

Brendon cupped his cheeks. "Yea, yea, it's me. Are you alright?"

His boyfriend gave a slight nod.

"Good." Brendon exhaled with relief, "Thank god." He flinched with his own words. The creature that had done this wasn't affiliated with that figure at all. They were really lucky.

Just then, a scream cut through the air. Brendon pulled his hands away from Dallon's face and turned towards the doorway.

"Dallon, stay here." He said before rising to his feet. He needed Dallon safe. That demon could be causing more havoc with the others. "I'll be back."

"What?" Dallon's gaze was in Brendon's general direction, but his eyes didn't seem to be focusing on his boyfriend.

"Stay out!" Brendon repeated as he began to hurry out of the room.

"Yes?" The response was feeble, but there. A slight relief filled Brendon as he ran towards the gym. His feet slapped against the worn floors, echoing loudly in the enclosed space.

When he made it to the gym, there was a lone figure sitting in a puddle of light. "Patrick!" Brendon rushed towards him.

Patrick looked dazed. He swayed where he sat with his eyes blinking slowly. A fresh cut on his upper cheek leaked the dark liquid of blood. Blood also trickled down from somewhere near his left ear.

"Patrick!" Brendon knelt down in front of the mute boy with worry. "Can you hear me?"

Patrick turned his tired gaze upon Brendon. He seemed to register that he was there, but his shoulders were slumped in a way that he looked too out of it to sign anything.

"Where's Tyler?" Brendon looked around the space. Tyler had been sitting with Patrick when he left. Now, he was nowhere to be seen. "Patrick, what happened?" He tried to keep the panic from his voice, but some of it slipped through like the sounds of the storm outside.

Patrick shook his head. He brought his hands up as if to sign something, but dropped them again.

"What's going on!?"

Brendon looked up as Josh and Pete came running back into the room.

"Holy shit, why is there blood!?" Pete dropped to his knees beside Patrick. He cupped his face and tried to gently wipe at the dried blood on his face. "What the fuck happened?"

"Tyler?" Josh looked around the gym with worry.

"I found Dallon, but then I heard screaming." Brendon left out his encounter with the demon. The others wouldn't believe him and he didn't want to make matters any worse than they already were. "When I came back, it was just Patrick."

"Say something, 'Trick." Pete brought Patrick's hands up encouragingly, "What happened?"

Patrick blinked. His fingers twitched, but he didn't raise his hands out of Pete's.

"Tyler!" Josh called out again, running to the bleachers to check for him. "Ty!"

Patrick mouthed something, but Brendon only caught it out of the corner of his eye. What he could catch a better glance of was Pete's frozen expression. The fear in his eyes.

"Where did he go?" Pete asked quietly.

"Tyler!" Josh's calls were more frantic now. The panic was rising in his throat.

"Patrick, what do you mean he's gone?" Pete's voice quivered with the question. "Talk to me!"

"Where is he, Patrick?" Brendon chimed in, unsure what to do. Josh was panicking, Dallon was still in a dark classroom by himself, and Patrick was too out of it to relay what was going on. They were all losing their minds in the storm.

A scream suddenly cut through the air. Somehow, it has enough power to be audible above the storm.

"Tyler!" Josh's eyes were wide and his body shook. He seemed torn as to which direction he should run towards. Despite how loud the scream had been, it was hard to tell what direction it came from.

"Maybe it wasn't." Pete stretched an arm towards Josh, "it might have just been the window crashing something down outside-"

The sentence had barely left Pete's lips when the scream ripped through the air once again.

Josh screamed Tyler's name again in response before bolting. He took off down one of the halls. His heavy steps echoing off the walls.

"Shit!" Pete turned his gaze to where Josh had vanished. He looked torn between wanting to follow him and staying with Patrick.

"I'll go." Brendon said, already beginning to sidestep. "You stay with Patrick. Maybe he'll start coming around." He spun on his heel and quickened his pace to follow Josh into the welcoming dark.
