First of all, I would like to apologize seriously if this story was a bit too complex and the using-too-hard-to-understand-type. Just let me add that it was sort of inevitable, since Alex Mars is a Prodigy and thus, needed his perspectives to be written in the exact style he thinks. I myself had some hard time becoming him and seeing his dystopian world all around him and making his fast-paced decisions. Also, the story may be a bit hard to understand, for I kind of 'hid' several allusions referring to current life(ex: COVID19->COVID65/discrimination against LGBTQ+ people and African Americans->discrimination against Prodigies/BLM movements and others protests->the protests for the rights of Prodigies/Lyra's mental 'disorder' or ability->how some people feel the world around them/Thomas' extreme violence and instinct to harm->the illogical hatred and violent tendencies of some people these days(ex: Derek Chauvin), etc.)
Thus, please, I would like you to understand my story properly, instead of taking it in as a '49-part-story that has so many italic-ed words and hard-to-understand dialogues'.

Second, The Expatriate has been a giant leap amongst my 9 years of writing in English, and it has become a milestone on my amateur online writing very easily-I even think it's much much better than my first book posted on Wattpad, Virtuality(to be honest, it was quite a mess, I have to say).
However, this story never came out without the help of people so near(virtually) and so far(literally).
  Primarily, of course, I would like to thank my laptop and Ipad and Grammarly in helping this story to get out into the world. Second, I'd like to thank some humans for this creation: my parents, all of the Wattpadders whom I got to meet and talk to thanks to the Write to Rank 2 contest held this year, and all my friends who wanted to read my stories at last.
Also, I give credits for @forest0198 for the cover provided for my story. I would like to apologize that I caused you to make about 4 or 5 covers to let me choose-I know I have to be less picky.

Thank you all for reading and encouraging me in your individual ways until now. This work would have never come out or have been short-lived with my usually-short motivation without the help of you all.
