Chapter 6: Extreme Makeover

Days passed and Sam had grown accustomed to Bogo's presence in her home. She would go to work in the morning and came back just in time for lunch. Bogo, being the man he is had wanted to learn how to use the technology around him. He eventually did like watching television while he exercised his muscles. How ever when Sam came home he hovered over her like a worried mother and asked her if she needed anything. It amused her to know end yet she felt like she needed to take Bogo somewhere since he was always cooped up inside all day long.

"Bogo?" Sam spoke as she looked up from the papers she had cluttered around the table.

"Yes Sam?" Bogo spoke looking up from a small manual about how to use a laptop.

"Would you like to go outside tomorrow and see what I do?"

A slow grin appeared across his strikingly handsome face, "I would enjoy knowing how you earn your living."

She felt a warm fuzz fill her being, for some reason it made Sam happy that Bogo was willing to know what she did unlike Chris who only nodded and looked at his cellphone.

"It's set then, however I think it's time for you to look presentable," Sam spoke as a smirk played across her lips.

For some reason Vulbogiô felt like he was about to regret it.

"Sam, are you sure this is acceptable?" Vulbogiô spoke as he looked into the reflective glass. Sam had bought him clothes that were worn in this realm. A tough blue pair of trousers hung low on his hips, a white shirt hugging his torso along with a red plaid shirt that Sam insisted he wear with the sleeves rolled up. His hair on the other hand remained long and proud down his back, standing out against the unfamiliar clothes. Sam lightly curled his hair through her slender fingers.

"No man wears his hair this long, however I won't cut it if you don't want to," Sam spoke softly, looking at him through the mirror.

"I am no longer in Iürus, and I am unable to return," Vulbogiô said softly, "My Destiny led me here... Cut it."

Samantha ran her hand through his long, silky black hair, "Let me get my scissors."

Vulbogiô continued to look at the mirror. The man he was in Iürus was different to who he was now. He felt different, cast out in his world. Yet here in the realm called Earth felt perfect for him along with Sam's company. He felt stirrings in his heart, warmth filling his being every time she was near. He felt complete with her, as if she was the goddess that had forgiven his sins.

A soft pressure suddenly appeared on the side of his head, gently turning his head to the side as a brush slid down his long hair, "What kind of hair styles do men normally wear at my age?"

"A bit short on the sides, and slightly long on top," Sam spoke, a confused look passed through his features, "It's best that I show you." She bought a chair and placed it beside him, once he set himself, a plastic bag placed around his shoulders.

"I trust that you will do your best," Vulbogiô spoke, a playful tone in his voice.

"Goodness no, you're making me nervous!" Sam chuckled, as she began to snip away at his hair

Oh my goodness! Who is that guy?

Do you think he's her boyfriend?

Whisper surrounded Sam once she entered her workplace, the vets crowded in their small groups.

"Why is everyone staring?" Bogo spoke into her ear.

"They stare at every male that walks into the office. It gives them something to do when they believe there's nothing to do," Sam spoke arriving at her tiny office.

Vulbogiô knew what she meant. The servants at the palace did the same, especially when Queen Seglï took in a new lover.

Flipping through her clipboard Sam saw she had a patient. A gray wolf that had been shot twice by a hunter during off season.

"I have to check on a patient. You should come so you could get used to the animals here on earth," Sam said to Bogo, a grin on her lips.

Vulbogiô grinned, "Of course. I do think I should acquaint myself with the earthen beasts."

Vulbogiô interest peaked when he saw animals in cages. Some asleep others staring out, looking out the large window that showed the view of the Alaskan mountains.

"Why are the animals in cages?" he asked Sam who was looking at a furry gray and white creature with four legs.

"It's too keep them from running away and hurting themselves more," her dark hair was pulled back, keeping her hair away from the animal. Vulbogiô had grown very fond of the woman that had taught him the ways of her people. Yet, her beauty surpassed those of the women of this realm.

"Bogo, come here," Sam said. Vulbogiô neared her, kneeling beside her. The furry beast had a white bandage over it's front legs, "This one cannot walk until both her legs have healed. Even then she wouldn't be able to hunt properly again, she will be taken care of at the reserve." She took his hand and gently guiding over the calm beast.

The fur was coarse yet soft enough to be used as a blanket, "Will she live normally at the reserve?"

"Yes, they will probably find her a mate to pair up with and have more offspring," Sam spoke petting the wolf's head before closing the gate of her cell. However she didn't notice how close Bogo had been to her small form until her chest was pressed on his hard one. Violet orbs stared into hers, keeping her steady with his large hands around her shoulders.

"Are you alright?" Bogo spoke, his deep voice laced with concern.

Sam blushed and nodded, "Yes, I guess I underestimated how close were."

Vulbogiô nodded and stepped away from her, "I apologize. I will be careful next time."

Sam laughed softly, "It's fine," taking his hand into hers she pulled him forward, "Come on. I want to show you the rest.
