This story is in honour of a boy I used to go to school with. He was tall and skinny, picked on and bullied constantly. I heard he was tied naked to a soccer goal post once and left there until he was found by a teacher. These 'jokes' made many kids laugh but his eyes told a different story.

I was never a bully but, one day I spoke down to him, just two words, 'Hello Rohan,' said in snarky sarcastic tones. That act of spite has been my burden to bear and has stayed with me from that day on.

I think the guilt of this disrespect is more to do with the fact that I never stuck up for this boy. That I never held my hand out in friendship to him and if I had, maybe his school life would have been a little better.

I don't know how his life turned out, I don't know if he ever found happiness, love, got married or had children, but I hope he did, and that his happily ever after turned out like the Rohan in this story.

I truly hope he found his Annie.
