After some boring classes that had in the day, I went back out to the field to watch Carlos practice, while I did some studying. I get my book and start to read as I look at them.

"Okay. Carlos, we're gonna do some sprints. You ready?" Ben said, Carlos just nood. I think he will get it this time.

Ben wissel and Carlos start to run, I looked over to Carlos. A dog came running behind him. My eyes widened when I saw the dog. Me and Carlos were terrified of dogs and I knew this couldn't end well, so I put my book down and run onto the field to Carlos that was already running from the dog. He started screaming and running towards the woods.

"Great, I hate dogs." I mumbled. "Carlos?!" I took off after him screaming to get his atention.

"Carlos?!" Ben yelled after him.

I grabbed Ben's wrist and pulled him after me. "Come on, Carlos and I are afreid of dogs." I said.

I don't know what I will do when I get there. I ran into the woods after Carlos, where I found him up a tree.

"Ben?! Amy?!" He yelled. "Help me! This thing is a killer!" He pointed at the dog from the tree. "He's gonna chase me down and rip out my throat! This is a vicious, rabid pack animal. Amy, get away from it, before it kills you!"

I'd never seen a dog before today, and I'm very scary the dog just burk at me and carlos.

"Hey, who told you that?" Ben asked.

"My mother." Carlos said.

"Cruella." I growled under my breath. "She told us about that since we could talk." I looked up at Carlos who was still in the tree.

"She's a dog expert. A dog yellower." Carlos said. Ben laughed.

Ben get the dog and start to pet him, I just walk away to Carlos "Ben! Why are you holding him?! He's gonna attack you. Get away before you get hurt!" Carlos yelled.

"Carlos, Amy, you've never actually met a dog, have you?" Ben asked. I looked up at him.

"Of course not." Carlos answered.

"None of us have." I said, sadly.

"Dude, meet Carlos and Amy." Ben said. "Carlos, Amy, this is Dude. He's the campus mutt." Ben said.

"He doesn't look like a vicious, rabid pack animal." Carlos said, slowly. He slowly got down from the tree and came up to me, I grab him from behind and hide there. "Jeez. You're a good boy, aren't you." He said. Carlos slowly reached out a hand to pet Dude and Ben handed the dog to him. "You're a good boy." Carlos said. He laughed.

"Amy, here pet him." He said to me turning around, I slowly put my hand in his had and pet, still afraid.

"I guess you guys have it pretty rough on the Island." Ben said.

"Yeah, let's just say we don't get a lot of belly rubs." Carlos said. I smiled sadly at Carlos.

"Good boy." Ben said to Carlos. I raised an eyebrow. "I mean, you're a good runner. You're. . . You're fast, you know." Ben stumbled.

"Oh, thank you." Carlos said.

"Listen, I'm gonna give you guys some space, yeah?" Ben said.

"You guys get to know each other and just, you know, come find me when you're done, okay?" Carlos nodded. "See you out there." He said and Ben walked away.

"You want me to go too?" I asked, starting to walk away.

"No. Stay." He said. I smiled as he sat down on a log and patted the other end, motioning me to sit down. Dude licked his face and I giggled. Suddenly, my stomach started doing this weird flipping thing. I don't know what was happening to me. What is this feeling?

I put my hand in my rose and start to play with it, Carlos look at me and smiled, he move a stand of my hair out off my face and kiss my chek. Then he put his hand in mine and squeze, I just smile.
