Introduction

Hi there.

In this part, I am going to introduce myself and this book, so you can know a bit more about me and about what you are about to read.

First thing first, though, I am just a non-english-native-speaker human, so I'll make mistakes. Feel of course free to correct me anytime, but prove me that you are also a human by being polite and nice, thanks :)

I- About me

Don't worry, by "about me", I don't mean to write a whole novel about my life, cause it would be way too long and boring. No, by "about me", I mean about me as a ESC fan, because I think it is always interesting to see how others became fans of the contest.

And just so you know, I am a - almost - 15 yo French girl who lives surrounded by people who don't even know what ESC is when it is broadcasted on the second most famous french TV channel every year. Yeah, that sucks.

I think that I started to watch ESC in 2006, because my first blurred memory is Lordi winning the contest, but maybe I didn't watch it that year but still got the information elsewhere. My first clear memory, though, is 2009. My whole family actually remembers 2009. After all these years without listening to it not even once, my brother can still hum the violin parts of Fairytale (which is absolutely stunning considering the fact that my brother usually sucks to remember things such as song titles and, well, melodies).

Years are passing by, and year after year, my memories of Grand Finals become clearer and clearer. Maybe I don't remember 2010, but I surely recall 2011, and my disappointment when Ell & Nikki took the crown (probably because I was cheering for someone else - but who? - or because of the fact that for my nine years old self, it was really weird that a non-European country would win a European song contest), 2012 ("And twelve points go to..." Sweeeedeeeeen, I remember saying with a disappointed and wicked tone. Oh, how I despised that song back then... If someone would have told me that Euphoria would become one of my favorite songs, I would have probably slaughtered that person), 2014 (I won't talk about the "Pro-Netherlands camp" and the "Pro-Austria camp" in my family... Not yet :'), 2015 (I'm still happy that Italy didn't win - ouh I see you coming haters), 2016 (LOVE LOVE PEACE PEACE) and of course 2017 (let's talk about this year  when it will be time for me to review all of the years, okay?...). And no, I didn't forget about 2013, I just hardly have any memories of that year.

II- About this book

Aah, finally she's talking about something interesting! :D

As we are slowly moving back into the Eurovision season, I think it's time for me to post this book (as I'll have something to rant about - because yes, I've already got stuff to rant about).

Here, you will find my reaction and opinion about different things that happen in this beautiful inner world of Eurovision, different tops (a lot of tops) and a lot more.

So yeah, I think I've said all that I wanted to say °°

Oh, and please, don't forget that I am a high-school student, and that my teachers love to give us a lot of homework and projects of all types so don't expect me to post stuff every two days ^^

Have fun reading this thing, and feel free to comment and to give us your opinion! :D
