Ethics #3: Be loyal to a person, but don't forget your friends.

Sa case minsan ng pagboboyfriend o in a relatioship. May isang bagay tayo na we uncontiously doing. Yon ay our world turns only to our partner. Yong siya nalang lagi ang nakikita, ang naiisip at siya na lang lagi ang ating binibigkas.

We made them our world and forget real world we are with.

I have a friend. Well before, we called each other bestfriend. Later on, my friend had a crush with one of our classmate. He is matalino daw, he is like this and like that and so on. At first, as her bestfriend I always listen to her story. Laughed with her, kilig with her and pray with her if ano ang will ni God sa kanila.

Then..as the day passed. She always talked about him, of what he did or had given. There's a moment that I didn't felt okay. And I talked to her about my problem, but the problem was she just changed the topic to his boy again. And I got tired listening so one day I told her that if she wanted to talk about his boy, I don't want to listen anymore and it's normally happened that she got upset to me. And our friendship ruined. That's it.

Too much love has the power to blind the person who felt it. A song say; too much love will kill you. Well, it's true. Marami na akong naririnig na nagpapakamatay dahil lang sa pag-ibig. Marami nang nasirang buhay dahil sa pag-ibig.

But I don't mean na ang pag-ibig ay masama. And hindi lahat ng sobrang pag-ibig ay masama. Kasi when God loved us it was too much that He sacrificed Jesus His only son to saved us and not be perished. When we all deserved to be perished because of our unrighteous living. It's called agape; unconditional love.

Too much erotic love, is very harmful. Christians and unbelievers are both victims of it. Even pastors and ministers. Too bad that some let their fleshly desire to work more than what the Holy spirit tells.

And the result, we committed sins, feeling guilty and unloved, lost the joy.

I knew how it felt to be in love. I mean to be too much inlove. You're happy when he/she's there even though the place is not good or the situation is inconvenient. You can keep yourself awake 24 hours a day, just to be with him/her. You made him/her your priority and didn't mind others.

He/She became the source of your strength and you cannot live anymore if they'll left you.

May I clear you this fact. It's obsession that you're feeling not true love.

Well, two hands up! I've been like that before but thank God I'd controlled it now and knew what love really means. 1 Corinthians 13 ( I won't type here what the chapter tells, don't be lazy, open up your bible and find it out with yourself, It'll be worth it. I promise!)

Too much love will ruined our relationship to others. Specially our friends who are always there for us when we needed them. The friends we shared our laughs and tears, through thin and thick, they are always there.

Hey! You don't need to sacrifice them because of love. You don't need to set aside them because of love. It's okay to be loyal, but don't forget your friends. Because if your lovelife didn't work ( and we are not praying it will happen) they will always be the persons you can run to and cry on your heartaches. They are the people who'll help you move on and find happiness again. They are also God gifts for you, for us.

Treasure your friends, and remain loyal to your love ones. Just remember that your girlfriend or boyfriend is not your only world. And not even your world.
