''Witches? Seriously, witches! That's insane!'' Charles yells as we tell him and Mila about everything that happened at Shadow pack.

''Yes Charles, Witches,'' Theo sighs as he massages his temple.

''But wasn't the coven wiped out years ago by your father? I thought no one survived that war,'' Charles muses and I look at them confused.

 ''Your father wiped out a whole coven of witches?'' I question Theo who seems to be deep in thought.

''Yes, turns out Alpha Kevin hated the witches, since they always meddled with wolf business,'' Charles replies, '' So what? he killed them all for that! It's not right, ''I almost yell. '' Calm down love, it wasn't just for that. The witches did something far worse than just meddling,'' Theo states and I urge him to continue.

''When I was about 5yrs old the witches wanted a sacrifice, one of them befriended Sebastian; who was 7 at that time and they made him lure me to their den while we were playing in the fields. They kidnapped me as the sacrifice had to be done during the full moon which was the following day. They threatened Sebastian not to say anything to my father. The next morning a search party was out looking for me, they were almost giving up until Sebastian couldn't contain it any longer and told my dad and uncle Alan everything ''

''Dad was enraged and set out with an army. Since it was only hours until the full moon it was easy to find the coven; they were all present at the clearing where the sacrifice was to be made. I was covered in different symbols and marks and was placed on an altar; ready to be sacrificed when the wolves attacked. It was a gruesome battle; the witches fell to their death since they were caught by surprise but they soon begun fighting back. Uncle Alan grabbed me from the altar and took me home to my mom while dad ensured that the whole coven was wiped clean. He ensured that no witch will ever harm a wolf child. Though it seems that he missed someone and now they are out for revenge.'' By the time he finishes I have tears flowing down my cheeks.

''Oh my god Theo,'' I say as my voice cracks and I hug him. ''I'm so sorry, I didn't know. Oh goddess.''

''It's okay love, these are things of the past.''

''Looks like the witches are out for revenge for what happened 23 years ago, '' Charles muses as Mila and I nod in unison.

''Well, we just can't be sitting ducks. If the witches are planning on attacking, then we must be ready. They are using the rogues to do their dirty work while they themselves hide like cowards,'' I growl in anger as I walk out the front door with Mila at my heels.

''Where are you going Athena?'' Mila asks as she catches up to me. ''I need to speak to Hazel and Noah; we need to prepare people, '' I say as I march towards Noah's house.

''Athena wait,'' I hear Theo call and stop on my tracks. Him and Charles come to a stop next to us. ''I understand your anger towards all this but you need to calm down love, just marching over to someone's house demanding to increase training won't cut out. We need to strategize, '' he says in a calm and reasonable voice and I sigh in defeat, ''Okay.''

''let's all have lunch at my place, Mila and I can whip up something. Then we'll sit and talk calmly about this. Okay?'' Charles questions obviously directing it at me and I nod.

We are currently at Charles'; him and Mila are in the kitchen cooking pasta while fooling around. I look at them and a smile forms on my face.

''He looks so happy doesn't he?'' I ask Theo as he rubs small circles on my arm. We are sitted in Charles' living room sprawled out on his couch.

''They do don't they? When will you cook for me love?'' Theo asks and I raise an eyebrow at him, ''I could ask you the same thing; when will you cook for me Theo? ''I pose and he chuckles. ''I would, if I knew but sadly I can't cook,'' he replies and I roll my eyes.

''Then what can you do?'' I ask with a challenging voice and smirk playfully.

''Well love, I can do a lot; you just name it, '' he smirks mischievously as his eyes darken in lust and I can feel the mate bond buzz as I pull him in for a kiss and he responds with the same passion.

''Hey you two, not on my couch!!'' Charles shouts banging the ladle on the kitchen counter. We pull away and start laughing at his antics.

''You'll make a fine grandmother one day Charles,'' I call out and he attempts to throw a spoon at me but misses.

''Hah, missed!'' I yell and he smirks, '' I never miss Athena; just didn't want to ruin your pretty face.''

''Yeah right, well at least I managed to get a compliment out of you,'' I chuckle as they start plating the pasta.

''I think you two were siblings in your past life. You guys bicker more than Olivia and I, '' Mila chuckles with a shake of her head.

''Well at least I have a partner in witnessing these two bicker now,'' Theo states and Mila hi-fives him.

''Oh it gets worse when these two do it, they'll chase each other all over the house like little kids, '' I retort.

''Okay, I definitely have to see that, '' Mila says.

''Oh my god, this is amazing! The sauce, good! The pasta, good! The meat, goooooood! '' I say as I moan and Charles smacks his head while Theo looks at me with a raised brow and a smirk.

''Athena, cookie; what did I say about the moaning?'' Charles rebukes and I roll my eyes at him.

''It's just us here okay, there are no un-mated males like last time, '' I blurt out and immediately realize my mistake.

''This has happened before and that too in front un-mated males?'' Theo asks in disbelief. I look at Charles and he puts his hands up in surrender.

''Oh come on Charles, help out a sister here.''

''You still haven't answered me love, ''Theo states and I purse my lips as I nod my head, ''Yes, it's happened before,'' I reply.

''Why do you think I call her cookie, man?'' Charles says adding fuel to the fire and I glare at him.

''What, you asked for help didn't you?'' he replies with a shrug of his shoulders.

''That's not helping! You dumbass.''

''So you moaned in front of un-mated males?'' Theo questions.

''It was unintentional; I just took a bite out of this amazing cookie chef Perez gave me and it kind of just came out,'' I defend myself.

''If it's any consolation I can ask chef Perez to bake me a plate and you can watch me eat,'' I say rashly before and Charles and Mila laugh.

''Yeah right Athena, because that is so romantic,'' Charles teases as he takes a bite out of his pasta.

''I really don't need a plate of cookies to make you moan love,'' Theo says casually and I choke on my pasta.

''What the hell Theo! We have company remember, '' I cry out as Mila hands me a glass of water.

''Oh come on, it's just us,'' he jokes and I give him a disapproving look. We then continue having our lunch in silence.

We are now back at our house in my old room which is now turned in to an office like space for me to work from. I reply to a few mails from Scott regarding the new collection and turn to look outside the window and my eyes widen in realization.

''Holy shit!! We completely left something out, '' I almost scream. ''The blue eyes! The rogue mentioned blue eyes, what if it's the same one who was spying on me? ''

''Then it means a wolf is involved in this too, this is bigger than we thought. Someone with blue eyes is scaring the rogues and someone with blue eyes spied on Athena; the guard also said he saw blue eyes but he wasn't sure, these could all be connected,'' Charles muses.

''We need to call a meeting with all the Alphas, as soon as possible!''

''I'm on it, '' Charles replies as he starts mind linking the other betas.

it's now 04:00 pm and the Alphas all agreed to meet us in 2 hours.

''We are being targeted here Theo, do you think the other packs will be willing to help us. They don't have targets on their backs; it's you and I. I know Ethan will be by our side but what about the rest?'' I ask worriedly.

''We will have to convince them love, I know Ashton will fight alongside us; we come a long way. My only concern is Benjamin. If we are doing this, we will need him. He has the most experience, I just hope he gets on board, '' Theo replies pensively.

We decided to have the meeting in Theo's office since it was just the Alphas and their Betas so I was shocked to see Olivia walk in but suppressed it with a look of excitement as she hugged Mila and I.

''You look well settled here, '' She says as she eyes Mila's mark and her sister blushes in return. Her eyes then go to my neck and widens in surprise as she spots the mark.

''You did not!'' She squeals in excitement as she engulfs me in a hug. I laugh and try to shush her as everyone looks at us.

Ethan and Axel are the last ones to arrive. ''Hey Ena,'' Ethan says and hugs me. I smile politely at Axel who makes the wise decision to maintain his distance. His eyes fall to my mark but he looks away before I can catch him staring.

I walk to Theo's side and give him a reassuring smile as he urges me to take the floor. ''We have asked you all here today to discuss the recent events that took place. We have information on who could be behind this; Witches from the coven that Theo's father had destroyed years ago have surfaced and they have recruited rogues too but the worst part is that one of our own is also involved; a blue eyed wolf who had been spying on me from when I first got here is the primary suspect, ''' I announce and I can hear gasps from some people in the room.

''We have reason to believe that the rogue attack two days ago was just the beginning; something big is coming and we have to be prepared, '' Theo continues.

''With all due respect to you Alpha Theo and to you too Alpha Athena, but how does this concern us?'' Benjamin asks.

''It does not concern you in any way Alpha Benjamin but we have called you here to ask for your support because sooner or later a war is expected to happen. The witches have meddled with wolf business and that should not be taken lightly,'' Theo says.

''So we've called you all here to ask; that if it comes down to a war will you fight by us?'' I ask addressing everyone in the room.

Ethan walks to stand by me. ''Until the very end, Ena'' he says and Axel nods in agreement. Ashton and Olivia walk to us too and he pats Theo on the back as they do the bro hand shake, ''I'm with you brother, '' Ashton says. ''It'll be nice to kick some more rogue asses, '' Olivia adds.

''I will have to think about it Theo; I don't want to go to war at this age and Sean is young too. He has to take over the pack. So I cannot risk my future; however, I will need a day or two to think things over. Allow me to get back at you, '' he says.

''Of course, take your time. Though it would be great to have you on the battlefield. I hope you re-consider, '' Theo says politely as Benjamin and Andrew walk out of the office.

''Well, we must get going too. We need to start getting troops ready. We don't know how many witches there are and how many rogues they have. So we will have to take things up a notch, '' Ashton says as he and Olivia are about to leave when a guard rushes in.

''Alpha Theo, Alpha Athena; we got a message from the council, they are on their way and are expected to be here by tomorrow morning, '' he announces and leaves.

''Well that doesn't sound good, '' Ethan comments.
