It has now been a little over 2 weeks since I came to Crescent pack. Things have slowly begun to fall in place. Theo and I now have a daily routine where we go for our run and have breakfast together, we have moved forward in our relationship and I have semi-permanently moved into his room.

My bond with Hazel, Rachel and Cathy has improved too. We are like this cliche high school girl gang that does everything together. I never had girl friends in the city or at Crimson so I welcomed this new part of my life happily. I haven't told the girls that I'm Theo's mate; their soon to be Luna, it would bring awkwardness in our friendship.

Charles and I continue with our banters which mostly result in him insulting Theo and me seating back and watching them run after each other, if an outsider would see their Alpha and Beta chasing each other like children they'd probably faint.

My best times are undoubtedly with Theo, he makes me feel like I'm the only girl in the world and nobody else matters, he makes me feel things that I've never felt for anyone before in my life; not even Axel, but most importantly he makes me feel safe and accepted.

My worst times however are every time Sebastian pops up. How he manages to do that, I have no idea. I could be walking around the pack and he somehow manages to creep up to me and start a conversation. I can only ignore him one too many times before I give in.

It's pack breakfast day today and Theo, Charles and I are making our way to the pack house. I'm dressed casually in a pair of black leggings and a black t-shirt with a purple scarf hanging around my neck, I decided to put my hair in to a braid today and that was all Charles needed to start his nagging. ''ohh Athena, who dressed you today, the great depression?'' he asks as he joins me and Theo and I roll my eyes at him. ''yeah, and I have a message from it for you,'' I say as I eye his look and find him dressed to perfection. ''Well what would it be cookie?" he urges me. ''I'll tell you next time,'' I shrug since I pretty much didn't have an answer to that

''oooohhhhh looks like Athena doesn't have a comeback for me,'' He teases as I stick my tongue out at him like a two-year-old and Theo chuckles. ''What's so funny?'' I snap at him clearly annoyed. ''nothing love, but Charles wins this time,'' He says as Charles gives him a hi-five. I look at my mate in disbelief, ''you're supposed to be on my side!'' I declare and he shrugs, ''I'm not on anyone's side here, I'm nothing but an innocent audience to you two.''

''I don't believe this,'' I say exasperatedly and start walking faster to the pack house to get away from the both of them. I immediately spot Cathy and Devin at our table and wave at them. ''Hey guys,'' I say and they both greet me back as I take a seat at my usual spot on the table with a clear view of Theo and Charles, soon the rest of the gang joins us, Rachel being the last one. ''Heyyy same to same.'' She says excitedly pointing at our scarves as she is wearing the same one as mine except hers is green. ''Yeah totally twinning,'' I reply with the same enthusiasm.

As everyone starts to settle down I notice a tall slim girl with long brunette hair sauntering towards the high table as she flips her hair backwards and pushes a young boy out of her way.

 ''Oh god, she's back'' Hazel groans.

"Who's that?" I ask as I take a spoonful of my scrambled eggs. "That is Elena Cavanaugh. The biggest bitch to walk the face of this earth" Cathy says, "And she is after the Luna position," Rachel adds and I almost choke on my food. "Whattt!" I bawl, they all turn to look at me clearly shocked at my outburst. I compose myself before I continue and say, "I mean, umm she knows that she can't get it right? It's not like she is the alpha's mate." I say casually.

"Yeah, but a girl can dream," Rachel says a matter of factly and I stare at her dumbfounded.

"Hiii there Theo, missed me? I bet you did," Elena says in a high pitched voice and I feel a growl erupting in my throat as I grit my teeth hard to stop it.

"Uhh Elena hi, welcome back," Theo replies nonchalantly and turns to continue his conversation with Charles. I breathe a sigh of relief as I see that he is ignoring her but it's short lived when she climbs up the platform and seats on the chair next to Theo's. The Luna's chair! My chair! I grip the edge of the table in anger as my eyes connect with Charles', his pleading me not to make a scene.

"Aww Theo you're so cute, let me get that for you," She says in her annoying voice and proceeds to wipe the maple syrup from his lip. "Can't even eat pancakes right,'' she says sweetly at the little audience that she has. That's it for me and I push myself off the chair and stand to leave the dining hall, Theo doesn't even attempt to follow me.

As I rush out, I see Sebastian leaning against the door watching me like a hawk and I roll my eyes "I'm not in the mood Sebastian," I say as I shove him aside and walk past him. "Jealously is not a good color on you darling," He comments and I chose to ignore him, yet he still follows me. "Oh come on Athena, I saw everything back there. You like Theo and you wish you were in place of that girl up there but let me remind you darling, you're not his mate so you too don't have the right." I stop at his words and turn sharply ready to tell him the truth so that he can shut his trap, but the evil look in his eye stops me. In that moment I knew that he was egging me, he knows. He bloody knows but he wants to hear it from me. I can't give him that satisfaction and I scoff and walk away.

As I get to the house I slam the door shut and head to my room. I need to release the anger building up in me and think of the only way to do it. I go to Theo's room and change into a pair of yoga pants and a tight fit gym t-shirt. As I descend, the front door opens and a worried Theo walks in. He breathes a sigh of relief as he sees me. "Athena," he says and rushes forward to hold me but I take two steps back and stop him. A look of rejection crosses his face and I glare at him with so much anger and attempt to walk past him but he stops me by holding my arm and pulling me to him.

"Love, I'm sorry. I truly am, I didn't know she was back from visiting her sister at Eclipse pack. She shocked me today and I didn't know what to do." He tries to explain.

"You didn't know what to do,seriously! You turn her down Theo, that's what you do. Do you know how I felt seeing her up there with you ,sitting on THAT chair!" I bellow, "of course you don't because you were busy eating pancakes with maple syrup on them so that she can wipe it off of you!" I say and I see a small smile playing on his lips. "You think this is funny?" I question and he chuckles. "You're cute when you get jealous," He says calmly "I'm not jealous okay, I'm not even angry at her; she can go dig a hole and bury herself in it for all I care. I am hurt, that you didn't push her away when she was being all clingy," I say softly. 'Okay I was jealous, but I will never admit that to him.'

"Look at me Athena," he says as he holds my face between his hands. "You're the only woman I have eyes for, you're the only woman who can wipe maple syrup off my lips,you're the only woman I want,okay?" He says and I nod as I look into his eyes that hold an emotion that I couldn't quite catch. 'Was it love?'

"I don't care about all these Elenas and Alanas. I care about you and only you." He says as he places a soft kiss on my lips and I return it with the same passion.

"Now who the heck is Alana?" I question and push him back playfully.

"Definitely jealous," he confirms and laughs. "I'm still mad at you," I tell him and he bows his head low, "I know and I promise to make it up to you," He replies. As I turn to leave he grabs me by the waist and pulls me back to him. "I want to ask you something?" He says and I look at him inquisitively and nod my head. "I don't want a repeat of today's situation ever again. So would you be okay with us telling the world that we are mates, I won't do it if you're not ready love."He asks and I see hope in his eyes.

"Yes, I'm ready." I reply and he engulfs me in a hug as I feel the mate bond buzz in excitement.

As I Ieave the house to go the training grounds I feel relieved that I made up with Theo but the anger towards Elena is still surging through my veins. I wave at Hazel once I reach there and she looks at me worriedly seeing that I left the dining hall without finishing my breakfast. 'I'm fine' I mouth and she nods as she begins training.

Almost 20 minutes in and I see the douche-bag of the year walking towards our group, he comes to stand directly in front of me, successfully blocking my view. "Move out of the way Caleb,you're blocking my view," I state in a bored voice. "Why should I move huh? Why don't you go find somewhere else to stand Athena." he hisses.

"I'm not in the mood Caleb,get out of my face," I hiss back. "Or what?" He threatens as he takes a step closer to me and I have to take one back. "You insulted me in front of the whole pack the other day and I vowed to get back at you, remember?"

"Vaguely," I reply while looking at my nails,clearly bored. "What do you really want Caleb?" I say as I look at him.

"Well I'm here to implement my threat," He whispers lowly. "I challenge you to a fight Athena, right here,right now!" He shouts and all heads turn towards us. I remain silent for a few seconds and he says, "what happened,scared you'll get your ass handed over to you?" He mocks me.

"Oh Caleb, Caleb,Caleb..." I start, "you chose the wrong day to pick a fight with me," I smirk.
