I woke up in the morning in a very unfamiliar environment and freaked out for a second before it dawned on to me that i was at Crescent Pack, in Theo's house.

I had a quick recap of everything that happened yesterday and released a heavy sigh. What have I gotten myself into? I thought as I groaned and flopped back on my bed. After a few more minutes of procrastinating I decide to get up and get ready. I shower and head down to the kitchen where I see a tray of breakfast set on the counter with a handwritten note.

Good morning love,
Trust you slept well, I had to rush to the pack house for urgent matters.
Charles will come for you later.
Have a great day.
Theo.

I put down the note and uncover the breakfast tray. My mouth waters as I see a full English breakfast laid out for me but it's something else that catches my eye, a single red rose that has been placed neatly on the side of the tray. A small smile forms on my lips. I take the rose and smell it as giggle escapes me and I immediately stop.

What the heck is wrong with me? Why am I behaving like a 15yr old school girl! I stop and compose myself then go back to my room to fetch my laptop and decide to work on some designs.

Two hours later I hear a knock on the door. I open it to reveal Charles who seems in a particularly good mood today. "Morning Athena, ready?"

"Just a second," I reply as I go to the kitchen and close my laptop. "Where exactly are we going Charles?" I ask.

"Theo asked me to show you around since I'm the only other person you know, he would have done it but he's tied up in meetings until noon,'' He clarifies.

"Fair enough. So where do we start?" I inquire, "well would you look at that, someone is very eager to get to know her future pack," Charles teases and I elbow him playfully.

"Well since you passed here last time I saw you look at the female warriors' train, so why don't we start there?" He suggests.

"Sounds good to me," I affirm and he leads the way.

As we make way to the training grounds I see a lot of people walking about doing their daily routine, most of them bow in respect to their beta some pass inquisitive looks towards me as clearly I'm a stranger on their land.

Soon we reach the training grounds which is a vast piece of land surrounded by trees.I see a lot of male and female warriors practicing, some of them are in their wolf form which makes me worry about my own. It's been two days since I have gone for a run and my wolf is now starting to get restless.

We approach the warriors and they all stop and pay their respects to Charles. "You all look in good form but of course that does not mean that you start slacking. Before you all get back to what you're doing I'd like you to meet Athena, she is our special guest and will be staying with us."

"You will all show her the same respect you would show your Alpha," He commands.

They all nod before going back to their practices. I turn my attention to a group of female warriors who are gathered in a circle, I walk closer to take a look and see two females getting ready to spar. I recognize one of them as the guard who I met when I crossed the border three months ago. Our eyes meet and she gives me a small nod in acknowledgement.

As the fight starts I watch their moves. The female guard seems well trained her moves are precise and to the mark, she knows her opponents' weak spot and she does not hesitate when delivering a punch. In a matter of minutes her opponent goes down; Indicating that she has won the fight.

I was closer to the fallen girl so I decide to help her up. "Thanks," she says in gratitude. "You seem like a good fighter, but you lack focus." I tell her and she looks at me quizzically.

"Do you mind?" I ask her. "Ummm sure. Why not?" She replies.

"To win a fight, you need to know your opponents' weakness, in this fight she knew yours but you didn't know hers." I start.

She nods then replies, "Hazel has no weakness when it comes to fighting, everyone knows that she's the best."

"Everyone has a weakness; you just need to find hers," I advise the girl.

"You think you've found my weakness?" Says a voice behind me. I turn and come face to face with a tall, slim girl who looks about 2-3 yrs older than me ,she has shoulder length raven black hair and hazel brown eyes.

"You're Hazel I assume?" I ask calmly as I mentally size her up.

"Yes, I am. Athena right?" She confirms and I nod.

"So you've figured out my weakness have you?'' She questions and I nod once again, "why don't you tell me what it is then?" She says a bit loudly for the whole group to hear.

"I'd rather show it to you," I reply confidently. I hear an 'oooooooh' from the crowd.

She walks up to me and says, "let's get on with it then," then walks to the middle of field.

Charles is by my side immediately," don't do this Athena, she is strong," he warns me but I ignore him.

"Athena please, Theo will not approve of this," He says which makes me stop in my tracks. I turn and walk back to him whispering low enough for only him to hear, "I'm not here to seek Theo's approval, he is not my father," and with that I remove my hoodie and hang it on a nearby tree branch.

"I have one condition before we spar," I say.Hazel nods for me to continue. "We are doing this in human form, no shifting."

Hazel laughs mockingly, "why, you're not afraid of my wolf are you?" A few people laugh but one glare from Charles and they all shut up.

"On the contrary, I'm afraid of what mine will do to yours. So do you agree?" She nods and we get into position.

As we circle each other waiting for who is going to strike first, I notice that she favors her right leg more and keeps her left leg far away from her opponent. All her weight is brought on to her right leg.

After circling a few more times Hazel decides to attack and throws a punch towards me, I easily dodge it and throw one of my own but she blocks it. She tries punching me again and this time i catch her hand and pull her towards me while kicking her left knee at the same time, she feels the impact of it and falls to the ground, "told you I knew," I whisper to her. She looks at me with wide eyes full of shock.

She manages to stand up and we spar more, I must say she is a good fighter and can hold her own but I'm stronge, obviously.

We both have scratches all over our hands and calves by now. As the fight ensues I suddenly feel his presence in the field and make the grave mistake of looking in his direction.

Theo is casually leaning against a tree watching the fight with interest, our eyes lock and shoots me a wink.

This one mistake costs me a move and Hazel gets the upper hand as she punches me right near my lip. I immediately start bleeding. 'Shit,' I curse as I don't get a chance to recover because Hazel has me in a choke-hold, guess there is only one way for me to get out of this and I decide to go for it.

I muster up all my strength and head-butt Hazel so hard that her grip on me loosens.I take this opportunity to grab her by the waist and throw her over me on to the ground and place my foot at the base of her neck indicating that the fight is over.

The crowd cheers and I hold out my hand to Hazel to help her get up. She takes it and pulls herself up.

"You're good and incredibly strong," She admits, "I almost thought I had you when you lost focus for a second."

I laugh and shrug it off, "you're good too, it's been long since I've had an intense fight like this one."

"We must do this again some time, it was fun," She comments I laugh and nod in agreement.

"Well I must go now, it's almost lunch time. I'll see you around," She waves and goes her way and I wave back.

"That looks bad," he says pointing to my bottom lip which is now cut open and has dried blood and dirt on it.

"I know," I reply slowly as my eyes search the grounds for him.

"He's at the house already waiting to have lunch with you, he saw the whole fight Athena," Charles confirms knowing the exact answers to my unasked questions.

"You managed to get into a fight with one of our strongest females, win it and still manage to make friends with her after all that ," You are something else Athena Robinson," He chuckles as he hands me my hoodie.

I see Theo holding a first aid box as soon as I enter inside the house. "That looks nasty," he comments. "come on, let's get you cleaned up so that we can have lunch together, if you don't mind?" I attempt to smile at his politeness but wince in pain as my lip hurts.

He quickly rushes forward and helps me to one of the couches in the living room, he douses the cotton wool with antiseptic and brings it closer to me.

"This will hurt," he warns and places the cotton wool on my lip. I grit my teeth hard as the antiseptic stings the wound and I latch on to his arm, he grunts a little from pain but recovers immediately.

Once he is done I let go of his arm and see fading red finger marks on it, I point towards them and mumble a sorry. He laughs it off and brings me a bowl of hot chicken soup.

"Until that heals it will be difficult for you to eat solid foods," He says pointing to my now swollen lip.

I nod in agreement and mumble something incoherent. He just chuckles in amusement and continues, it will be healed by today evening; in good time for the dinner with my mother and siblings," He announces causing me to choke on my soup.

"Whhhhaaat....." I manage to say as I look at him wide eyed "when?...how?...why? I just got here Theo, isn't it too soon for me to meet them?" I question him.

He looks down in shame and I almost feel sorry for behaving this way with him.

"I know it's too soon, but my mom is really excited to see you. The twins wanted to come over right now but I ordered them not to, I don't mean to put pressure on you but they really insisted on it and i couldn't say no," He explains. I understand his point, he tried to get them to back off, but you can never argue with mothers and siblings for that matter. But it is too soon, I mean I've not yet settled in too.

"Okay," I nod solemnly, dinner tonight with your family is fine," He gives me one of his smiles and I just shake my head in response as a smile makes way on my face too.

"Did you say twins?" I suddenly ask, "yup," he says popping the P.

''Aiden and Nadia; they usually spend their afternoons here it's the reason why the fridge is always stocked, with junk food mainly," He laughs.

As evening comes by, I'm standing in my room in front of the bathroom mirror with a towel wrapped around my body. My bruised lip is healed now, thank the Goddess for that.

I do a simple make up look which consists of mascara and lipstick and look at the 3 different outfits laid out on my bed, I decided to opt for the black and white striped jumpsuit and decide to pair it with a pair of gladiator flats.

I grab my phone and check the time, it's almost 7:00pm. Theo told me that we'll be leaving at around 7 so I decide to go down and wait for him.

I take deep breaths as I open my bedroom door and walk out. 'I can do this, i can do this' I repeat in my head.
