The Enchantment
Birthed by a fierce storm,
A young woman bound to the sea
Is destined to remain there for eternity. Until she finds her true love
A man with eyes as blue as the ocean
He finds her and saves her from it's depths.
The moment he proclaims his love for her, they will become one as they share true love's kiss. The mother of all will bless their union and together they will save their people.
The two of them will unite as King and Queen to rule over the human and supernatural race for generations to come. If they were to seperate, the kingdom would fall. As they remain united so will their Kingdom.
They will rule with grace and strength for their people, for all eternity until they take their last breaths.
Jade' s POV
Fear snaked up from behind my back and wrapped itself around my neck. The anxiety causing my breaths to come out in heavy pants as I covered my eyes from the brilliant light that shone above us.
"Do not be afraid." The light spoke.
The brilliance began to dim and I took in the sillhoutte of a woman behind it. When the light was gone and only the woman remained, I glanced up at her and found that I could not take my eyes away from her.
She was painfully beautiful and perfect. Flawless and mystical. Her long white hair flowed down her back. Her gown danced with the wind across the surface of the water as she stood levitated above it. Her skin was pale and smooth like a porcelain doll with a hint of pink in her cheeks. The most captivating feature were her eyes. It looked like they were shimmering as she looked down on us. The silver color of her eyes seemed to draw us into the aura that surrounded her. Or was it some sort of magical power?
"Hello, my children. My name is Moria also known as the Moon goddess. Goddess of the night and mother of all supernatural beings."
A whisper of a gasp escaped my mouth as I registered her words. "Moon goddess?"
"Yes but I prefer Moria." She answered back sweetly.
"Why have you come to us?" I asked, wondering what could a goddess want with someone like me. Or us? Is she going to try to seperate us?
"You, my children, have a great journey ahead of you. I'm happy to see that you have followed your hearts and have now found the truest of loves with each other.
My purpose for presenting myself before you is to help guide you to the paths that will lead you to your destiny. I can not make decisions for you but I can point you in the right direction.
What I mean is, I've chosen you two as the next rulers of this world. Your love will be an example of true love and that we must live in peace, harmony, and strength. During your rule there will be peace for many years to come but it's up to you both. If you desire it, it will come to pass. I have seen your futures and it is bright and beautiful.
But ultimately it is your decision that seal your fates."
I glanced over at Chi and noticed he was already looking at me but not with fear. He seemed certain and confident, there was a strength in his eyes as if he had known that this was what fate had in store for us. He smiled back at me and grabbed my hand squeezing it reassuringly. He nodded as if to say that agreed to what Moria was saying. So I nodded in return to give him my answer.
If this was what he wanted, I'd follow him to the ends of the earth.
Malachi's POV
"We accept our destiny." I stated. I could see the fear in Jade's eyes but I knew that she could sense my certainty and sureness that everything would be alright. It was fate that brought us together and I could sense the air beginning to change as I stated those four words.
"Excellent, my children. I bless you. Now go. I will be with you always. Watching, so whenever you need I will also be there. As I mentioned before, I can not decide for you but I can help guide you forward. Now I must go. I will come to you again. Soon."
And with that she disappeared. The water rose up at a steady pace until it completely surrounded her then the water dropped only to reveal that she was gone.
My hand was still wrapped around Jade's when I glanced back at her but in just those short moments she had changed. This change could have only come from Moria. Instead of her beautiful fin, now in its place, were her long beautiful legs. I helped her to her feet, steadying her so that she wouldn't fall. The goddess had gifted her a stunning navy dress that reached just below her knees. I scanned her face for her reaction to all of this and I smiled brightly when I saw she was smiling as well.
A small giggle escaped her lips as she stared down at her feet, wiggling her toes and bouncing on the balls of her feet.
"Looks like your happy about the change." I said.
"Oh! Isn't it great?! I have legs again! I never thought this day would come."
She jumped into my arms, wrapping her long legs around my waist and kissed my lips. I'm not sure what came over me but her lips on mine suddenly awakened a hunger inside of me.
The kiss turned from a soft kiss into a passionate one. We separated just a moment to catch our breaths again and I took the opportunity to walk us off the rocks. We passed the sandy beach and walked further until my eyes settled on a small clearing with a huge oak tree at the end of it. I laid her down on a soft patch of grass and settled down next to her. I leaned forward on my elbows and kissed her forehead, her soft cheeks, and finally her lips.
My hands roamed over her body. Memorizing every dip and every part of her body with the palm my hands and my fingers.
My hand reached out to play with her hair as I deepened our kiss. My lips trailed down her jaw and down her neck causing Jade to moan softly which only urged me on more. I paused and looked down and saw her looking up at me with bedroom eyes.
"Jade, my love, from this day forward, I promise that my heart and soul belong to you. You are my sun and my moon illuminating the most darkest parts of me. You set me free and I will forever be in your debt.
I love you for all eternity until I take my last breath, I'm completely yours."
I whispered as I continued to utter sweet nothings in her ear while I kissed her in between. We made love under the stars that night, declaring our love for each other as we finally became one.
It was the best night of my life.
80 years later
The Kingdom of Moria flourished for years to come under the reign of King Malachi and Queen Jade. Both races lived amongst each other in peace and humility. There was no hate. No prejudice. No crime. No unnatural deaths. Humans and vampire. Werewolves and faeries. Elves and dwarves. Witches and warlocks. All living together in peace. It was a cheerful time. A time to love and be loved.
After the King and Queen passed away, their oldest daughter, Jasmine took their place with her husband, Maximus. They ruled alongside each other just as the past king and queen did with love and peace. Humility and strength.
"And that's how our world came to be, my little princess." Queen Jasmine told her youngest, Tatiana.
"Mommy, will I ever find my prince as Mama Jade did?" She asked her mother, looking up at her with round bright green eyes. She had inherited them from her grandmother. That wasn't the only thing her grandmother had passed onto her. She had given her the ability to transform into a mermaid when she needed and to communicate with the water and it's inhabitants unlike her parents who had no special abilities.
"I'm sure that day will come, my love but not until your grown. Now time to sleep. Goodnight and sweet dreams."
She kissed her small forehead and tucked her into the bed before walking out her room and heading to her own room.
She laid her head down on her pillow, her husband wrapping his arm around her waist, pulling her tightly to his chest as they slept soundly through the night. They slept with no worries of tomorrow for their lives were utterly perfect.
And they lived happily ever after.

Unbeknownst to anyone, that very same night, a darkness began to arise from deep within the magical forest.
Where there was light, darkness would always find it. Evil was born in the forest that night. A darkness that would infect others and spread like a disease causing their perfect world to shatter and their kingdom to fall. Unless a hero would arise to save them.
Moria gazed down at her children, an urgency spreading through her to keep her children safe. Who would be the right choice? A hero with a pure heart. And that's when she heard the prayers of a certain young princess. Her sweet voice carried with the wind up to where she stood.
"Moon Goddess, Keep my parents and my people safe. Keep the peace and the love. And keep my Prince safe wherever he is. Thank you." She whispered and climb back into bed, under the covers again as she fell into a deep slumber.
And that's when she knew. She had just found her hero.
The end.
