(Y/n)'s POV
"So?" Josie raised her brows as I sat down in the chair across from her in the lobby of the bakery.
I breathed out a long sigh of relief, "I still have a job." I revealed with a growing smile.
I really thought I'd be fired for what happened yesterday, even if it wasn't my fault. But thankfully, after Rick heard my side of the story, he didn't ask me to turn in my apron.
He saw that it was Celeste and Clovis who were the real problems and it's actually them who are no longer allowed in here. Lucky for me, Rick is a saint of a man and absolutely adores me. Most employers would fire anyone who was arrested on working grounds no matter the reason, so I really owe him for keeping me around.
"Good, I was getting ready to give him a piece of my mind if he didn't let you keep your job," She leaned forward towards her orange juice that was resting on the table, drinking it through the straw.
I chuckled as I picked at the bagel she had ordered for me, tossing a plain piece into my mouth. We already had breakfast at my house earlier, but I wanted to add a little extra to my stomach since I didn't plan to eat until dinner time with Anakin, "So what store did you want to try first? I want to go to the Angel Boutique but that won't be open for another hour."
"Hold on," She held her hand up and I paused just as I was about to take another bite of my food. Her raised hand then shifted to a point as her eyes darted to my neck, "Now that we're alone, sort of, explain the turtleneck."
Flashes of images from last night went through my head and I had a rush of butterflies in the pit of my stomach. It truly was the best night of my life and call me crazy or delusional, but I was already imagining what life would be like in the future with him - as any lovestruck girl would.
I used to imagine marrying Clovis and having his children, but now my future has changed. It was taken over by a blonde angel who stole my heart quicker than I could blink.
I grinned sheepishly as I lowered my collar so she could see the large hickey that resided on the middle of my neck. Her eyes widened, "Holy fu- does his brother not feed him?" She joked before we both burst into laughter together, earning us a few annoyed glares from the older generation around us.
"You're so annoying," I threw a piece of bagel at her. She easily caught it and popped it into her mouth with a playful smirk.
"So is that what you two delinquents were doing in the back of the police car?" She teased, wiggling her finger in the direction of my neck, "Not that I would judge, sounds kind of hot, maybe Piett and I should get arrested together." She rested her head in her hands and gazed up at the ceiling, pretending to day dream.
"So your brother could kill you both?" I rolled my eyes with a chuckle. I also wonder when those two are finally going to tell Rex that they're dating and I really hope I'm there to see how he reacts to it, "But no, this was last night when I snuck out to go see him." I revealed in a tone filled with joy, I was feeling giddy all over again just thinking about him.
Her smile widened, "You little rebel," She eyed me like a proud mom, "Well what did you two do?" She questioned as she stole a large chunk of my bagel, she might as elk have taken the whole thing.
I awkwardly fidgeted in my chair and cleared my throat, "We went to the top of this cliff to look at the stars and listened to music from a radio he fixed that used to belong to his mother," I told her the innocent details before taking a deep breathe to prepare to tell her the not-so-innocent things we did. I was only hoping she wouldn't react the same way she reacted when I told her about Clovis. But then again, she never liked him and she seems to get along with Anakin well enough, "Then we—"
"You had sex didn't you!" She announced a little too loud, and much to my embarrassment she gained the attention of the tables closest to us. Most older and looking at me with utter disapproval.
"Sh!" I waved my hand in her face and gave an awkward smile to the people glaring, before turning my annoyed attention back to my best friend, "Did you have to announce it to the entire lobby?" I whisper shouted.
She shrugged nonchalantly, "Not like you'll see them again."
I narrowed my eyes, "I work here, of course I'll see them again."
"Eh who cares," She quickly waved her hand just as I did, before leaning closer to me with a devious smile, "I'm going to need all the details though, was it good? How did it start? Was he better than Clovis?" She threw all these questions at me at once and I wasn't sure which one to answer yet; but before I could, she added more, "Wait so this means you two are official right? And oh my god is he bi—"
"Josie!" I cut her off before her question could go too far, "I'm not answering that one." Although my answer to that would make Anakin look really good.
"Fine you prude," She mumbled, sitting back in her chair and crossing her arms, "But I still want details, and to know if he's better than Clovis." She smirked.
She loathed my ex and enjoys any ammunition against him she can get.
I glanced around me to make sure others were minding their own business before leaning forward and telling her all the details about last night. And much to my delight, she smiled the whole time, enjoying seeing me finally happy.

"That's the one!" Josie exclaimed as she dropped the bag that contained her outfit choice onto the floor. She came towards me and grabbed my shoulders, spinning me around like I was mannequin, getting a better look at my outfit choice, "It looks so perfect on you," She praised while turning me back around to face her, "Anakin is going to give me a niece or nephew by the end of the festival if you wear this."
I smacked her arm, "Absolutely not."
"I'm just kidding," She rolled her eyes with a smile, "But seriously, if you don't buy that then I'll be returning what I got and get it because it looks amazing."
"Really?" I spun around to look at myself in the mirror, eyeing the outfit that was different from anything I usually wear, "Are you sure it doesn't look like I'm trying too hard?" I asked nervously.
I was wearing a pair of black pants that didn't fully cover my ankles, and a red top that was slightly more revealing than what I normally wear.
(picture above is my inspiration, but you can imagine any outfit that fits your personal preference.)
"It doesn't, I promise you look beautiful." She continued to hype up the outfit and the more she did, the more I started to see what she saw instead of having my insecurities blind me.
I smiled as I looked upon my appearance one more time, "Alright, I'll take it."
After removing the outfit and taking it to the counter to pay for it, I nearly choked when I was told the price. But I bought it anyway when I imagined my boyfriends reaction to it. He's used to seeing me in my more light conservative clothing, so this is definitely a change and something more his style.
My sole purpose was to match him since he did mention that he was planning to wear a red shirt with his leather jacket the day of the festival. He said he loved the combination of red and black because it looked aesthetically pleasing.
Josie and I walked out of the store and paused, "Wow how long did you take in there?" She questioned while glancing at the sunset filled sky.
I side-eyed her audacity, " Well maybe things would have moved along a lot quicker if we didn't spend so much time at the bridal shop."
She thought it would be fun to pretend we were getting married and try on a multitude of wedding dresses. I'll admit it was fun and we even got two free box of chocolates as a 'congratulations' despite not actually buying anything. But still, it took up a large chunk of our time.
She nudged my shoulder as we began walking to my car, "Oh shush, you had fun."
I pulled out my key and pushed it into my door to unlock it, "True and we still have the chocolates too," I tilted my head towards the back seat where they resided, as I opened the drivers door. Josie patiently waited at the passenger side as I got in and unlocked her door from the inside.
As soon as she got in, she reached for the candy in the back, bringing it forward, "I've been thinking about these for the past hour." She beamed, tossing one in her mouth and dramatically moaning.
"Don't make a mess," I shook my head, smiling at her playful personality as I attempted to turn on my car.
Key word; attempted.
I furrowed my brows when the engine began to click instead of turning on, "What the hell." I complained, attempting to turn it on again to no avail.
"Didn't Anakin just fix this up for you?" Josie questioned in a tone that sounded just as confused as I felt.
I nodded, trying to turn my car on one more time, "Yes, he did." I responded in a mumble as I sat back and peered out into the nearly bare parking lot. Most of the shops were closing around this time and so there wasn't really anyone around to help us.
"He should find a new profession," She teased and I shot her a side glare.
I glanced back out of the front window and sighed, "I'll go see if I can use a phone in one of the shops to call him." I pushed open my door and put one leg out.
But before I could fully exit the car, a man appeared in my path, placing his hands on the top of my door and stopping me from standing up, "Car trouble?" A pair of familiar colored eyes were staring down at me.
My eyes nearly widened and my heart dropped into my stomach when I recognized him as one of the men from last night. The main one Anakin warned me about and told me to always go the other way whenever he's around.
Andres; the man responsible for his arrest.
