"Bandit get your butt over here" I whispered to our hybrid dog. He used to be aggressive to every dog now he seems to only care about those "Walkers" moving around. Bandit went down to the ground and crawled over but was showing his teeth that was one of the ways he told us they were near. I looked from behind the tree and saw the target. That middle school was probably full of some medicine and supplies. I heard more growling, "there are way too many of them" I whispered to myself. I have to do this by myself I told my dad I could do this and he has to watch the horses Roxie and Duke but I still didn't like leaving him behind. I know he could take care of himself but he would get so arrogant at times. "Vanessa give me Bandit he could attract more of those Walkers to you" dad whispered and made my heart skip a beat. "Don't scare me like that I thought you were farther back" I replied. "I got Bandit" he said . I nodded and he took Bandit then vanished behind the trees back to that little neighborhood we were at. I breathed in one last time then took a step but heard growling behind me. I turned around then saw one of Walkers I got it in the brain with my knife. I looked down at it in the ground then I thought went through my mind. I grabbed my extra jacket from my backpack which was way too big and cut open the Walkers stomach. I grabbed some of the pieces of flesh and smeared it on my jacket. If my dad did this he would start throwing up. I don't care about the smell or that I was taking organs out of something anymore I need to do this. Once I finished covering my jacket I started to go towards the school.
