I opened my eyes to see the basketball hoop. I was laying on the floor in the gym. Whoa... what happened? I asked myself rubbing my head. I heard a blood curling scream and remembered what had happened. Oh my gosh! I gotta get out of here and find Zoe and Bobby! Wait I have to find Madi too, and get the force field down! I jumped to my feet and ran to the door that lead to the outside. I tried to push it open but it was locked. I heard the scream again, closer this time. I decided to run into the hallway. I ran through the shadowy halls and put the front door. I gasped when I saw what the force field looked like. It was huge and was glowing. I ran up to it and touched it to see what would happen. My mistake. I was thrown back and fell on someone. They groaned. I looked at who it was and saw Bobby." Bobby! Where's Zoe?" I asked him looking at me and smiling.

"What happened? We saw some big ugly creature carry you off, where did you go? What did it look like up close?" He piled her with questions and I shook her head.

"I didn't see it up close. It was gone when I woke up but I think it was competing back when I ran away. I touched the field to see what would happen and it threw me back. Now where is Zoe?" I ask looking him in the eye so I could tell if he was lying. He looked at her and replied.

"We split up so we could find you. She's probably still inside." Bobby said looking back at the school. She's still inside!? That thing could kill her! I grabbed Bobby's hand and dragged him back to the school. I pushed open the doors and ran around looking for her." I think I found her..." Bobby said, his voice distant. I ran over to where he was, panting. I looked down to see my best friend on the floor. Her eyes were glazed and she had her mouth wide open. I gasp. Bobby leaned down and checked for a pulse, he rubbed his temple and shook his head. I looked away, I couldn't see my friend like this.

"If that thing got to Zoe, then he might have gotten to Madi! We have to find her." I say turning to run but he grabbed my wrist. He shook his head no and pointed out a window. I saw what he was pointing at, it was the force field. I sighed and started to run back towards the front door. He knows that we have to break the force field or we all die, smart. I say running faster.

When we got outside I saw all of the other students running around and panicking." SHUT IT!!!" I yelled getting everyone's attention." Now listen up! We have to break this force field and we can't do that when everyone is panicking! I know your scared but we need to get out of here. Now please step back while we figure this out." I say pushing some people away from the glowing dome that surrounded us. I look back at the field." We could dig under it?" I say shrugging my shoulders. Bobby looked at me, as well as some other students.

"Let's get digging then."
