Third Person's POV
Sejal switched off the TV muting Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince as she heard the bell ring. As she got up, her eyes fell on the mirror in front of her and she looked at herself. She was totally wasted. And she missed her husband a lot. That also explains why she was currently wearing Rajiv's shirt, which, in her tiny figure fell till her thighs.
It was currently almost 2 at night and it's her anniversary. The first one. A year passed after their blissful wedding and for her it was the most amazing and adventurous one.
She frowned walking out of the room thinking why the watchman didn't inform her. But then it could be Vamika and Aarav, she thought. It's been a year and a half for their wedding and she is still Vamika's assistant who manages every content, shoot and visit of hers. The thought of leaving that post seems impossible to her. Vamika could kill her for god's sake. Though after that she'll be the one weeping out loud too.
Sejal was about to pick up her clutch from the sofa and tie up her hair in a loose bun but the person outside was too persistent as he kept ringing the bell continuously.
Deciding to go against it, she let her hair cascade down till her waist and opened the door only to get one of the best surprises of her entire life.
Rajiv stood there with his hands full of different paper bags and a big grin on his face. Sejal cupped her face, threatening the tears to fall as she stumbled back.
He was supposed to come after 15 more days. He even sent his assistant with many treats to make up with his absence in their first anniversary. Deep down her heart she cried a lot but didn't thought it necessary to show it to others. Except her bestfriend of course.
She wanted to spend their anniversary with her in his arms but work is more important than her own selfish pleasures. Little did she know her husband had his own plans.
Rajiv was in London since last 1 month and the plan was to stay a month more. But surprisingly his mother decided to get in the plan and change it completely. The deal they were working on is now shifted to November which is after 3 months. So that made his give a pause on his and his team's work. Though he didn't want it to postpone but then the pros of the plans were much better than the cons.
He got to meet his wife, his Sejal. And he can't be anymore helpful for that. He was in his worst mood when he got to know that he won't be with her on their first anniversary. And he was surprised to hell when his mother informed him to go back.
And that can certainly wash away all the deed she did when he was young.
A deep chuckle echoed in the living room which was dead silent. His eyes darkened and his chest heaved as he took in his wife's appearance.
She looked heavenly.
He dropped the bags in which he had everything he bought for her in the last month, on the floor and his footstep echoed as he neared her.
"Happy Anniversary Love."
Just as his fingers came in contact with her body, she snapped out and turned and hugged him hard making him stumble back.
"I see you missed me a lot, didn't you?" He felt her nuzzling her nose on his shoulder as he picked her up by her waist making her wrap her legs around his waist.
She is just too tiny and that's extremely cute.
As their little interaction was over, Sejal looked up to find her husband looking at her with raw desire and love. Every time she tried to keep her feelings to herself but as soon as she looks at these brown eyes, they pour out. She loose the control over herself when they are together and she doesn't know if that's good or bad.
One of Rajiv hand moved from her waist to her neck as he cupped them making her look at him. Her eyes glistened in tears as she thought how she spent her time without him.
Without a second thought, he placed his lip on hers. It was slow and sensuous. Like pouring their love, desire, hunger and desperacy of a month. Their lips moulded against each other filling them.
Tugging the hem of his blazer, Sejal let out a silent whimper at the loss of contact as Rajiv left her lips. For her action he claimed her lips again and this time straight gaining the entrance. His tongue swirled around her mouth and his hands gripped her waist tight.
Their lips stayed connected as they entered their bedroom. Soon their clothes left their body as both of them entered into the world of ecstasy together after so long.
*
It was 6 in the morning when Sejal opened her eyes. The first thing that came to view was a beautiful bird sitting on the railing of their balcony. As soon as the bird's eye met hers, it flew away making her smile.
Next she found their clothes, pooled beside the bed and that reminded her. It's their first anniversary.
Turning to face her husband who laid their spent just like her peacefully, she slowly whispered even when she knew he won't be able to hear her, "Happy Anniversary. I love you."
Rajiv stirred in his sleep making her wonder if he heard her, but then he turned to the other side snoring lightly again.
Her married life was never as she thought. It was always the opposite.
Where she thought that Rajiv would always be busy with his friends and work, he had always took out time for her. Where she thought she'll be alone after wedding she was always proved wrong by her husband. He made no less effort to make her feel like a queen.
That takes her to how they got into this beautiful life.
1 year back and 6 months after Vamika and Aarav's wedding
Sejal stepped into her house with Vamika on her tails as she pestered her to go to the club with her tonight. Vamika and Aarav moved out to his penthouse just a month after their wedding after they returned from their honeymoon from Paris.
"I don't want to go. I just wanted to have some ice cream, cuddle with my blanket and watch Harry Potter now. Why don't you take your husband?" She grumbled.
"He got meeti-" She stopped in between her eyes widening at the sight.
"THE BLOODY FUCK!?" She yelled.
Sejal turned and looked at the sight in front of her. The whole living room was destroyed. Some of the showpieces were broken and some were still in good condition with some cotton on them. There were bits of paper flying around. And there were two men standing in the middle of the room. They were Aarav and Rajiv and they looked like deer caught in headlights.
"Who?" Vamika whispered enough that everyone in the room heard. But no one answered.
"I ASKED WHO?" She yelled.
"Lo-look baby, I tried to explain him. But you gotta hear me firs-" That was all Aarav said before stopping as he looked his wife's glare shifting to his bestfriend.
Everyone yelped as Vamika suddenly picked up her pace and ran to Rajiv with the nearest thing which was a vase on her hand, ready to kill him.
"Shit."
*
After a whole of cat fight with just Vamika smacking every possible, visible part of Rajiv's she finally took a breathe.
"You will be paying for everything including the maid's extra fees." She said to Rajiv for the nth time smacking his face with a pillow.
"Now anyone care telling me what happened?" She threw her hands up, surprised at Rajiv's silence.
"His company's in stake. His mother still owns 48% of the company and she says if he doesn't marry someone within a week, she'll sell it. She particularly wants him to marry her business partner's daughter so that she could expand her own business." Aarav explained making Vamika a bit guilty as she looked at the devasted state of him. No matter how much they fight, they have each other's heart.
His father died when Rajiv was young and his mother has been travelling the world since then. She started her own business brand putting his father company to halt. Due to the least time spent with each other they haven't had a conversation a mother and son should have.
When Rajiv turned 21, with a little help he re-started the company but that didn't help him. His mother still owned 48% of it. Neerja Chouhan, his mother wanted him to takeover her company but he didn't want that. And there started the series of hate. Currently it'll okay to say that she hates Rajiv and vice versa. However Rajiv's hate has risen up after what she is doing now.
Sejal who was sitting in front of Rajiv snapped her head as she looked at her brother not believing what he said. And as she did, her eyes locked with Rajiv's who was also looking at her as if waiting for her reaction.
For the first time in all those years, she saw desperacy in his eyes. For her. Quickly averting her eyes she got up to the kitchen. She halted a bit hearing him sigh but then continued.
"Who does she wants him to marry?" Vamika asked.
"Larissa D'Kouta" Aarav said.
Before Vamika could start her curses for both the women, everyone turned to the door as they hear it opening.
Both Vamika and Aarav's mother got in rushing as they gasped seeing the state of the room. Their eyes landed on Rajiv and they rushed to him taking him in a motherly embrace. Due to their friendship both of them secretly loved him a bit more than other.
Following them their husbands came as Vikash stated, "We need to talk."
*
"Why don't we buy it from her?" Aarav suggested and his father, Aarnav Malhotra nodded.
"No uncle. I don't want you to do that for me." Rajiv objected with a small unwanted smile.
"Look son, we have enough to buy it in whatever amount she asks. And then we can sell it to you. This sounds a plan." Aarnav said.
"Or we can have someone else buy it and then get it from him." Vikash suggested.
"And it's going on high profit as well. I don't think anyone would give a second thought before buying it's shares." He added.
"Or maybe he can marry someone and get those for free." Vamika silently mumbled before two pair of eyes quickly snapped to her followed by others. And it won't take a genius to know who were the two.
"To whom? Larissa D'Kouta?" Aarav asked her sarcastically making her smack him.
"No!"
"Then?"
"Well we can consider to those within the family. Who all are single in our family?" She asked plotting the plan in her head. She looked at her mother and mother-in-law who looked clueless as others but as soon as she sent them a wink, their face was morphed into a small smirk.
"If close ones then only Vikram and Sejal." Aarav said thoughtfully and by now everyone have started to make out the meaning of her words. Except her dumb husband of course.
"Yeah why don't you ask Vikram bhai to marry him. He will consider it I think, since he is his bestfriend." Vamika said sarcastically.
"Well then the only one left is..." He looked up to his sister who was looking at her sister-in-law wide eyes at what she just said.
"Sejal." Rajiv whispered.
*
Sejal looked back to the door of her room as she heard it knock. She was standing in her balcony enjoying the serenity. Her father entered.
"Papa?" She acknowledged.
Slowly another feet was visible as Vamika peeked from behind with a cute grin on her face. After what happened in the afternoon Sejal has been mad at her for not keeping her secret to themselves.
"I wanted to talk to you bacha. Are you free now?" He asked.
"Yeah. Please sit nah."
"So.." He trailed moving his eyes from Sejal to Vamika.
"What Vami said is true?" He asked slowly watching his daughter cheeks and neck going crimson in a second.
Vamika giggled.
"Can't you see her face Papa? Look how it's color changed." She laughed at her bestie's cuteness making her father-in-law laugh along.
"I'll kill you." Sejal glared at her.
"Bacha, if you like him then why don't you confess. You know I wouldn't have spoken in this matter unless you would want me to, but now the boy needs you. And if you like him, I don't think you would be able to see him getting married to someone else in front of your eyes, will you?" He said slowly looking at him daughter.
"Sejal that boy is self sufficient and really good for you. If you like him, then go ahead, okay?" He added.
She nodded still looking down.
"Good night then." He got up and left.
As soon as he left, a pillow landed on Vamika's face.
"YOU WITCH! I WILL KILL YOU!" Sejal yelled.
"Yayyyyyyyy my bestfriend is getting marriedddddddd..." Vamika shouted running out of the room laughing loudly.
That was how they got married. It was all of a sudden. In that whole week after she agreed for the wedding, she eavesdropped her brother and Rajiv talking where he was constantly asking about her.
He wanted to know why she agreed even when they haven't had a proper talk since so many days. Little did he knew the little girl whom he held in his hands when he was 2 had a crush on him since she was 10.
After they got married in a close, intimate wedding after a month, their life has been completely beautiful. In their 6th month anniversary, they went on a date where Rajiv confessed he loved her since forever and that was the night they lost their virginity to each other as well. As said, their life was bliss. And fortunately their mother wasn't in contact after that.
Sejal has now changed into into a simple peach saree with red sleeveless blouse. Her hair was rested on her head in a bun as she whisked the dalgona coffee mixture effortlessly.
Her mother called now and she told that everyone is coming for breakfast and then they can go for temple and then to the family picnic. It was Sejal's idea which Rajiv knows Vamika gave her. He wanted to spend the whole day with her but she wanted to do this and then she even promised to spend the whole night with him. And he thinks that's a better deal. Though her idea did left him pouting childishly for a whole day.
She woke up an hour ago and then did her yoga and took bath. Rajiv was sleeping the whole time, maybe due to jetlag. She thought she'll wake him up after the breakfast prep.
After bathing, she got her mother's call. Then she spent some time deciding the menu for breakfast which was finally decided that there will be smoothie bowl, sandwich, aalo paratha and buttermilk along with pink tea and dalgona coffee. She isn't someone to cook so much just for breakfast but since they got the picnic she can take the leftovers for there though her mother and aunt would have already filled their trunks with food, she knew.
Keeping the rest of her thoughts at bay, she focused on blending the mixture.
*
As soon as Rajiv opened his eyes, they first thing that came to his view was his wife's waist, and that too a bare one. That caused his eyes to shot opened so quickly that he feared they might go away flying.
"Fuck!" He cussed blinking furiously.
Taking the towel from the bed table which Sejal kept it for him to take when he goes to bath, he wrapped it around his waist and got up from the bed approaching the goddess roaming free in their house.
Both of his hands circled her waist from back making her yelp as he gripped it tightly, his lips attacking her neck.
"Yo-you scared m-me." Sejal shuttered as he turned her to look at him.
"You look beautiful wifey." He mumbled before pecking her lips, his arms still around her waist.
She looked down blushing at his words.
"Seriously? After that we did yesterday, you are shy?" He faked a bored look and Sejal gasped at his bluntness slapping his bare chest.
"Happy An-"
"BITCH OPEN THE DOOR!" A loud voice boomed in their front door making Rajiv shut.
"Why do you still have that animal in your friend list?" He mumbled not letting her go.
"Shut up." She mumbled freeing herself from him.
"LET HIM OPEN THE DOOR YOU DONKEY!" Another voice boomed before Rajiv strolled in the bathroom grumbling and Sejal smiled at both the cuties in her life.
*
"I will confirm the meeting later. Now I am busy. Talk to you later." Sejal moved away from everyone as she completed her conversation with her manager.
They were in Rajiv's farmhouse which was a little away from the city. The women were gone to the nearby temple along with her husbands but Vamika stayed because apparently she had to make sure they don't make babies in their absence.
Just as she was about to turn and go back, she saw Rajiv having a conversation with someone. A lady to be precise. She gasped as she realized where she had seen her. She was his mother.
What looked from a distance, they both weren't talking, they were arguing. At first she thought to let it go and get back to their spot, because she knew Rajiv will talk to her about this. But then she was his wife and her daughter-in-law and according to her, her mother did nothing bad to be not graced with her presence.
Taking long yet calm strides, as she approached them she saw another India-American couple along with her.
Aha! Larissa D'Kouta was there too.
'Vamika would have a fun roasting her.' She thought chuckling to herself.
She ignored the way Larissa looked at her from top to bottom and then scrunched her nose. Her mother-in-law smirked to herself, faking a surprised gasp.
"Aah! Daughter-in-law! So nice to meet you."
"Same Mother-in-law!" She acknowledged.
"You know I am really sorry for not being able to attend the wedding. I had an really important function to attend." She said sympathetically.
Yeah and as if we cried river for your absence. She thought to herself but flashed a smile to her.
"Oh yeah! Aunt N came to my company opening that day. We enjoyed a lot." Larissa chirped.
"Oh so nice!" She faked a smile.
Rajiv let out a wavered breathe catching her attention and put his arm around her waist pulling her to his side. Suddenly his phone rang. He took it out from his pocket and looked at the caller id.
"I'll have to take it but you go one!" He encouraged making her chuckle as he went to a distance.
"I think you could get someone better Raj. Why her?" Larissa said as if she's not present there.
"Stop it Larissa." Neerja giggling making Sejal boil in anger.
"You look beautiful darling, doesn't she La?" She asked running her hand down her saree.
"Uh? Yeah she looks okay." She dismissed.
"Thankyou. You look presentable!" Sejal snapped.
"How dare you? Look however you have trapped my son into this marriage, I won't let it last lo-" Neerja glared at Sejal but she cut her off in middle.
"Which son? The one whom you blackmailed into marrying someone?" She asked her eyes boring into her MILs.
"You are no one to tell me about my so-" She yelled but was again cut off.
"Or the one who left with nannies at the age of 8?" She added.
"Look you maybe whoever you are, I will never approve you." She snapped at her.
"Nobody asked your approval." She snapped back remembering the nights when Rajiv used to cry remembering his childhood where he had no one with him.
"Oh and if you have nobody's company opening to attend, do come to my baby shower. Oh! Sorry! I think we'll be inviting only the close and family members. But you can come." She emphasized the 'close' and 'family member'.
"And you!" She turned to Larissa. She had her arms crossed on her chest. Sejal took her palm and a nail extension out of one of her nails making her whimper.
Pointing the sharp side of the nail to her eyes straight, she whispered dangerously, "Stay away from my husband."
Throwing the nail and giving another look at the ladies, she turned her heels. As soon as she did, she looked at Rajiv who stood their shell shocked.
"Ba-Baby shower? You're pre-pregnant?" He whispered, tears pooling in his eyes.
Sejal smiled nodding a little. The next second she yelped as Rajiv picked her up, hugging her tight from her waist.
"I am going to be a fa-father? I can't believe this. This was the best gift ever. I love you." He yelled twirling her around.
Sejal let out a laugh.
"Yes you are going to be a father. Come on now, put me down." She reminded.
As soon as she settled on the ground, he took her lips in a hard kiss making her gobsmacked. After a few second of sucking her lips, he let it go. Touching her own swollen lips with her fingers, she exclaimed making him laugh, "Woah! Do it again."
"Oh my god! Are you making babies?" A loud voice stopped them from another kiss and Vamika sprinted to them.
"I think no one will notice if we kill her now and bury her over here." Rajiv whispered earing a smack on his chest by his wife and another one on his back by Vamika herself.
*
2 years later
"Say Ma-Ma baby." Sejal encouraged the tiny baby in front of her.
"Da-Da." She said making everyone laugh. Baby Samaira giggled as her mother pulled her nose.
After 3 years of their wedding their love is still fresh and new. And now with this new addition, it won't be fair to say, it isn't tiring but it's more than amazing.
After her delivery, thankfully Vamika managed her videos and editing for 6 months and she considered that as her gift for her baby shower. Rajiv have been equally helpful as her mother, aunt and Vamika. They would babysit Samaira every time they will be free. And turns out the baby also loves her grandmothers.
Vamika got pregnant 3 months after Sejal and their little girl is lying in the crib looking every where astonished, wide eyes.
It is their 3rd anniversary and they have again came to the same place for picnic. But this time since it was too sunny for the kids to stay outside they came inside. But they were enjoying whatsover.
Samaira's eyes dropped slowly as she tried to sleep. Considering that she has been awake since the morning, which was completely surprising, it was okay for her to sleep now.
"I'll just put her to sleep." She said everyone who were busy playing cards and carom as she carried the sleeping baby in her arms and went out.
After putting her to sleep with pillows protecting her, she went to the kitchen to take the freshly made lava cakes out of the oven. As she was going to the kitchen, she was pulled by someone in the mid-way.
Rajiv laid her head on his chest as he hugged her and placed a kiss on her crown.
"You just work too much." He sighed.
"Doesn't matter. I am happy and that's what matters."

And also guys thank you for staying tuned for so long. I didn't expected so much love on the previous one.
