Third Person's POV

"I won't let you go inside." Cladded in a greyish-beige lehnga and heavy jewellery, Vanya said standing with her cousin's group in front of Vedant's room.

"Look, I just have to take my laptop, my phone and my wife from inside. After that you can do whatever you want." Vedant groaned saying, as the children in mature people's body, let out a startling laugh.

They were married now. It has been around a month since that first meet and Vedant and Neesha didn't see each other much. But the time they spent while selecting rings and tasting food, was enough. At least for them.

Their wedding has been one of the richest wedding of the year with guests coming from all over the globe. Both the business tycoons and their families didn't forget anyone. From their first business partners to their ex ones, all were invited.

The most posh hotels of Delhi have been completely booked for the guests to stay and then they were escorted to the huge 200 acre farm house owned by the Malhotra's in Ooty. Famous fashion designers and event management companies who were best in their job were assigned to make this event a hit.

Their engagement was a small event with the least and closest family members. The wedding rituals started 3 days ago, with haldi first, accompanied by the chuda ceremony. That night was a bon fire night where people enjoyed their hearts out, leaving all their worries and tensions far. The next day was the mehndi and the Sangeet was assigned next. But due to the huge number of women, both Indian and non-Indian, wanting to apply mehndi, it took a lot of time. Then was the Sangeet day, where people wearing colorful Indian clothes, danced their hearts out. And then was the wedding which was today.

Though this was Vedant and Neesha's wedding, they seem to have the most uncomfort. It was their motto to make their guests enjoy but that caused them, especially Neesha, a three day long headache. Vedant seemed a bit more comfortable than her because he had attended other weddings of him business clients and relatives.

Neesha cursed her ancestors for making haldi, the first event. Because after being applied, she couldn't go outside. Not that she wanted to, but if it would have not been a rule, her relatives wouldn't have dirtied her room by coming again and again.

Now she was inside the bathroom, taking out her heavy jewellery. Her hair was free because she had already asked the beautician to remove it before coming inside. She didn't want to do those cringy shits where women ask their husbands to open it.

She got three large suitcase of hers already transferred but they were in some other rooms. With her was just one, which she knew was her night wear and formal wear.

She could hear some voices outside and an unexpected chuckle left from her mouth as she remembered the ritual where Aadith had to slap Vedant in his back. He was called for this ritual as the priest asked for him. All the relatives of her side were encouraging him to beat harder while the relatives of Vedant's side were shouting at him to do it slow. Being confused, which he is since childhood, he slapped him soft, but then whinned instantly because he wanted it hard.

After coming down from the recent memory lane, Neesha realized that her life was changed now. She can't stay at the office thinking no one cares for her because she got a family now, not matter of 3.

She may be rude and straight forward as said by others, but the importance of having a family is what she understands since early age. She had always wanted a huge family while she was young, with kids running around, playing with her and elders sitting together for evening snacks, but never got it. Heck, she hardly got her parent's love. They were always travelling for official reasons leaving her and Aadith with the nannies. But now, she has a family and she'll cherish it.

After removing the bridal makeup which took the group of beauticians, hours to do, she carefully removed her heavy bridal lehnga and kept it in the counter top.

When she was pushed inside by Vedant's female cousin, giggling which made her roll her eyes, she took her time to explore the room. It was a combination of light shade of teal, peach and white, pretty neutral. She got to know from her sister-in-law, they got this room painted before their wedding.

There was a huge bed surrounded by low mattress type arrangement to keep their legs in. In front of it was the 50 inch TV with shelfs around it with different small plants, books and photo frames. Under it was the electric fireplace. Then towards the left of the bed was a corner with one table and two chairs where a lamp and some other things were placed. Beside it was a window which was closed, covered with white curtains and a love seat before it.

Then towards the right side was a medium size, round table with three seating arrangements and the huge French doors, which was the balcony. There was a full size mirror beside a door, which lead to the closet and bathroom. Inside the closet, two sides of it's walls were full with shelfs and covered with sliding doors and one side with a big half mirror and counter tops. Half of the shelfs was empty and cleaned, for her to keep her belongings. And then the forth wall consisted another door, which was the bathroom's. Inside it was was one big bathtub, toilet area with closed curtains and an open shower with glass around it.

Neesha was, now in her denim shorts which she wore under the the heavy skirt and her bra. She quickly locked the bathroom door and shrugged off her shorts and bra and went to the shower. After standing her it for a few minutes, she wore a robe and dried her hair.

After drying her hair, she set it free for the rest of it to dry and went to open the suitcase, expecting her clothes in it. But when she opened, it just consisted of her makeup, toiletries and inner wears. Her eyes widened at the thought of something happening at the thought of which she cringes.

"Shit shit shit!" She cursed, face palming herself.

"Neesha? Are you okay? You're in, right?" She heard a knock and then Vedant asking.

"Uh- Yeah, I am fine. Just 5 minutes more, I'll be out by then." She said, mentally slapping herself for not checking it.

But now just one solution is left, she thought as she opened the other side of the closet where hundreds of shirts and other outfits were kept according to the colors and types.

After a lot of negotiation and useless teasing Vedant was finally able to enter. And for that he had to give fifty thousand. Fifty thousand to enter in his own room.

Upon coming he didn't see Neesha but after hearing the shower running, he thought she might be inside. He took out a white T-shirt from the closet and some joggers and put it in.

Just as he was about to open his laptop he heard her curse. He frowned keeping the laptop aside and went to the closet trying to open it but it was locked.

He knocked here and asked, "Neesha? Are you okay? You're in, right?"

"Uh- Yeah, I am fine. Just 5 minutes more, I'll be out by then." He heard her.

He nodded to himself, forgetting that she couldn't see her.

Then we went back to his laptop and tried to switch it one. When it didn't open, he thought there might be no charge so he went to his office which is at the end of that floor, to bring it.

A second after he went out, the door of closet opened and Neesha stepped out wearing an oversized black shirt and some shorts which weren't visible due to the length of the shirt.

She did feel a bit conservative to go wearing that in front of a man who became her husband just a few hours ago, but she's Neesha after all, so she cared less.

Taking a look in the whole room, she frowned when she didn't find Vedant. Taking that time she went to her handbag kept in the ottoman where she had kept her moisturizer.

"Where is my moisturizer?" She whispered to herself not finding it.

"Damn! This whole day is a mess." She cursed, emptying the whole content inside it.

She turned around, jumping a little when she heard someone clear his breathe. There she saw him, her husband, standing in a T-shirt and some joggers, trailing his eyes, up and down in her form.

"Uh-"

"What are you wearing?" He asked, his voice surprisingly husky.

"Um.. The suitcase with my clothes is downstairs. I got the wrong on. I had already kept the dress I was wearing that's why I wasn't able to go down and get it. That's why I had to wear this." She answered.

Her eyes widened as Vedant started taking steps towards her. One of his step surprisingly caused her heart to come down to her stomach and jump up and down.

Maybe this is because she was hungry. She thought.

She took a step back as he came face-to-face with her. He had a neutral face with a tint of amusement in his lips. Neesha bent backwards as he bent towards her. He bent more forward and she went more backwards, taking the support of the couch behind her.

Bending, till their nose were touching each other and her breasts were slightly touching his, he kept both of her hands beside her. Going forward to the right side, she felt his lips touch her ears as he bent more forward.

Suddenly he stood up, making her fall down on the couch with a small thud at the suddenness.

"I was taking my phone." Vedant raised his hand, in which he had the apple gadget.

Neesha took a deep breathe, calming her stomach which seemed 20 month old baby was kicking rapidly inside. She herself, couldn't understand why did him, coming close caused this to her heart. She looked around, rubbing her arms again and again trying to get rid of the goosebumps she after just a mere contact.

"What side will you take?" She turned around, startled and looked at Vedant who was looking at her innocently.

Too innocent to be good! She narrowed her eyes, thinking.

"What?" She slowly gritted.

"I asked which side of the bed will you take? You are sleeping, right?" He repeated his question, sitting on the left side of the bed.

"You take that side, I'll take this." She pointed to side where he was seated and told him.

"Fine by me." He nodded, getting his laptop to his lap and typing something.

After brushing her hair, Neesha approached the table beside their bed where a glass jug was kept. She opened the cover of the glass kept beside it, in order to drink water. But there was not even a drop of water in it.

She held up the jug and looked at the man who is suppose to be her husband. Infact, he is her husband, who was focused on his mails or whatever he was doing. Not able to get his attention she kept it back with a 'thud', but still she wasn't able to get what she wanted.

Neesha opened her mouth to say a sassy comeback but then closed it.

Forgive and forget! That's what makes a relationship beautiful.

She remember her grandmother saying. Of course she won't forgive something unforgivable or forget something unforgettable but the least she could do is to get a jug of water for herself.

Throwing a last glare on Vedant's way, she picked up the jug and stormed towards to door. While that time, her current attire was not really in her mind. She ignored the not-so-loud calls from Vedant, partly because she didn't like that she had to get out and get water at 11 and that too on her first night in this house.

Heck, she doesn't even know the way to kitchen.

Just as she reached the mid of the huge alley, her elbow was grabbed by someone and she was harshly turned back, facing the brownish-grey eyes.

"Wha-" Her voice dried down in her lips as she was pulled forward, crashing her frame on a hard body and her lips touched the side of his.

It was just the left side of her lips was merely touched the right of his, but the sparks produced were causing both of their cores to shake. One of her hand tightened on the handle of the jug and the other was placed on his broad shoulders out of reflex. While one of his hand was holding her elbows and the other was placed on her hips.

"Do you realize your outfit? There are workers here who might be awake and you are going out wearing this?" Vedant gritted out, his nose touching her cheeks lightly.

"Huh?" Realization drawn into her as she thought about her outfit. It didn't last long as she glanced up at Vedant again.

Snatching out her hand from his hold, she narrowed her eyes at him.

"You can wear whatever you want, as long as it is for your husband, that is me. Clear?" He ignored the way her eyes turned red.

"LISTE-" She stopped shouting as Vedant grabbed her elbow again.

"Quite." He hissed.

Snatching it back again, she said, or rather announced, "Listen you Malhotra, I will wear whatever I want to and any where. It's my body, my clothes and I can wear anything. I will wear a night suit to my work place. I will wear a swim suit to bed. You get that?" She whisper yelled, trying really hard not to shout.

Shoving the jar in his chest, she gritted, "Fill this and when you do, take a dive inside and stay. Don't mess with me", and stormed away.

"Don't mess with me." He mimicked making a face, quite apprehensive for a minute for where did that come from but then walked up to the kitchen lazily.

*

The sound of water running was heard along with the chirping of birds. The small drops of water was flowing down slowly, producing a tapping sound. Due to the stillness in the room, even the sound of aunties gossiping could be hear.

And then there was Neesha Sengupta who came out of the bathroom with a robe wrapped around her body.

It was 6 in the morning and Neesha has been up since last 30 minutes. She is one of those rare people who enjoys the morning and thus wakes up early. But what she has noticed is that her husband is quite opposite of her.

When she got up today morning, he was still fast asleep on his stomach. However one of his hands reached her stomach and was kept on it. She even had a difficulty to remove it before getting out. After many efforts of taking it out gently, Neesha pushed it off when she got tired.

Stripping out of the robe, she stood under the huge shower. Pressing the button for warm water, she waited for the it to start flowing but it didn't. She waiting for 30 seconds and still it didn't.

"Vedant?" Vedant who woke up when Neesha was inside and checking the mails, frowned hearing him being called.

"Neesha? You're in, right? What happened?" He got up, going near the bathroom.

Neesha, in return, wore the discarded robe again, tied it's belt and opened the door finding a Vedant with raised brows.

"Your shower is not working. If you would have told me, I would have asked my assistant to repair it before hand." She mocked.

"It isn't necessary to be sarcastic every time, you know?" He said, sauntered inside.

"I wouldn't have if it wou-"

She tried to walk past him, in order to take her inner garments out of his sight but, before she could, her legs slipped due to the shiny marble and the little water left. Along with herself, while falling ahead, she tugged his t-shirt and that fortunately saved both of them from falling. But luck isn't always on their side. Hitting both the switches of the shower together, with his elbow, Vedant switched the shower on.

Now it was Vedant holding Neesha's shoulders and waist and the shower above them making them wet.

Her eyes ran through his features and the most beautiful she found is the lashes. As he looked straight into her face, his eye lashes became a barrier for the water. But as always water and time never stops for anyone. The droplets fell through them, making them even more voluminous and dark.

He blinked and she snapped out of her thoughts.

Getting up, from his arms, she turned around, punching the switches, this time both of it together, and closing the shower.

"I'll get changed outside. You take shower." She didn't turn, just nodded.

Seconds later she heard the door open and close and she relaxes, starting the shower again, thinking about the sensational feelings.

*

"Uh.. can we talk?"

As soon as Neesha came out of the bathroom, dressed in a fitted one piece, she found Vedant sitting on one of the chairs as he coughed, followed by those words.

"Talk? That's something new in my dictionary actually." She nodded at him with a neutral face, as he rolled his eyes.

"I am really gonna love your sarcasm." He commented.

Little did he know, she was just stating the truth.

"Are you getting those tingles too?" Neesha frowned at his question, her face soon turning amused.

"Don't act like a innocent guy now." She shrugged, ignoring the his jaw drop.

"Look Vedant, we are married now. And I want this relationship to work, as I said that day. I want to give this a chance because maybe you are gaining my trust. But somehow I want this to work." She acted like a mature one.

"Even I don-"

A knock interrupted Vedant as he frowned thinking who might have been here this early. He got up and went to open the door and as soon as he did, Vanya's face popped up.

"Good morning newly married brother." Both of them heard Neesha chuckle from inside.

"You too newly married sister-in-law." She chirped.

Neesha got up from the bed and approached the brother-sister duo, who were standing near the door and bickering.

"What are you wearing?" Neesha heard Vedant ask Vanya.

"What? It's called shorts and top." She said flatly, smiling at her sister-in-law brightly as she joined them.

"Why is this so small?" Vedant poked her flat, bare stomach where the top of her lehnga was cladded along with a denim shorts.

"Urgh," She swatted his hands. "No use of talking to you." She glared.

"Bhabhi, the makeup artists are already here. I have sent one team to the community hall where they are doing the make up of others. The rest of the team is waiting in my room for your makeup. Please come."

"We have to reach the party at 12. And it is just 30 minutes past 6. What do you, your makeup artists are going to do with my wife for 5 hours and 30 minutes?" Neesha was about to say, when Vedant beat it to her, saying.

Irritated with her twins behavior, Vanya turned to glare at him, "Is this the way to talk with your elders? Go inside and sit down quitely." She snarled.

"I'll just prep my face and come. You continue till then." Neesha smiled, amusement lacing in her tone as Vanya nodded and went back not before sending a glare on her brother's way.

A small smile broke on her face, as she shut the door and walked back to Vedant finding him seated on the same place. She sat on hers.

"What was that?" She deadplanned.

"Just some usual bickering. Get used to these kinds of free entertainment." He shook his head.

"So what I was saying is, I want to fall in love with you." He dropped the bomb.

Neesha looked up, wide eyed, mouth opened. She didn't expect that right away.

"Look I didn't mean to shock you. It's just I want to experience the most beautiful moment. I want you to open up with me, be yourself with me and share your feelings with me. Obviously I would do the same. Let's make this and if it doesn't work-"

"We'll see that later." Neesha completed his sentence, a slight nagging feeling in her chest about leaving him.

"So," He got up and forwarded his hand to her. She placed her hands and got up too.

"Are you ready to fall in love with me, Mrs. Neesha Vedant Malhotra?" He asked, looking into her eyes.

She stopped a bright smile come into her face, as she nodded.

*

The whole hall was in chaos. Aunties were searching a perfect groom for their sons and daughters, while some others were busy gossiping. Businessmen in fitted suits were chatting with each other with a glass of wine and the waiters and waitresses were running here and there to provide everyone whatever they needed.

A serene music was played in the background which was almost not audible due to the sounds created by the guests. Suddenly the chaos were stooped as the huge decorated, glass door opened. Reporters started rushing their, to be immediately stopped by the guards.

And then entered Vedant and Neesha. Vedant was dressed in a dark blue tux and Neesha was dressed in a heavy georgette lehnga and statement earrings and choker. Her straight hair was kept open and curled towards the end and the make up did an amazing job in hiding her dark circles.

Various clicks were heard as the reporters, cameramen and people started clicking their pictures as they manoeuvred inside.

"I am getting irritated." Neesha hissed, faking a smile at the cameras.

Her smile flattered as Vedant's hand snaked through her bare stomach and pulled her close. She looked at him, and he did too, noticing her heated gaze. Both of them turned to look around as a loud 'aww' chorused in the hall and, smiled at the flashlights, this time a genuine one.

"Neesha," She turned around and looked beside her.

There were her parents. Flashes of that night started flooding in her mind and her heart started beating loudly. Her once warm eyes turned cold again and her chilled figure became stiff.

Vedant had noticed her behavior with her parents since the first time he met them but decided to let her tell him whenever she'll be comfortable. He started drawing soothing circles in her waist, as he noticed her becoming stiff.

"Guys the guests are coming over. You guys can go and cover them. And then enjoy the party." Vanya announced popping up beside the couple as the paparazzi nodded and made their way towards the entry.

She was dressed in a lilac sequin lehnga with a no-makeup look. A maang tika dangling in her forehead and two big, mathcing earring on her ears. Her hair was hair was straightened and parted in center. While Aadith was wearing a white tux, his parents had matching teal outfits, twinning like rich couples.

"Bhai," Neesha whispered, detaching herself from her husband's arms and hugging her brother's waist.

Aadtih wrapped his arms around his little sister's shoulders, giving her a much needed, known, warm hug. He is going to admit that he did miss her. She rarely spent her time at home but when she did, they would always have a movie marathon, fight for the flavor of popcorn and movie selection. But now his sister got a husband of her own and he won't get to fight with her.

He felt Neesha rubbing her nose in his suit and faked a grunt, "Don't rub your snot in my expensive suit."

Neesha looked up and snorted, receiving a low chuckle,  "My makeup is even more expensive than you suit."

"Mam it's time for the cake cutting. Then we have the dance too." The event manager came to Vanya as she nodded.

Vanya went to the brother-sister duo, who were still hugging. She tapped her sister-in-law's shoulder.

"Bhabhi, we need to cut the cake." She reminded softly.

"Oh yeah. Oh! I forgot to introduce you both. Bhai this is Vanya, my only sister-in-law. And Vanya this is my brother. I assume you guys know each other. You do?" Neesha narrowed her eyes.

"Uh-yea-No. No, we haven't met each other." Aadith said passing a smile to Vanya.

"We did sometimes, but for business meetings." Vanya continued.

"Okay.. I will take your leave now. You guys talk." She nodded and went up to the stage where the three tier cake was kept and joined her husband.

Around an hour later, Neesha nd Vedant were seated in two high chairs and reported and media people from different channels were seated in from of them. Neesha's parents and Aadith and Vanya were seated beside them. The bright lights were falling on them as they answered the questions fired by the press.

"Mr. and Mrs. Sengupta what did you gift your daughter? Would you like to share it with us?" A middle aged, female reporter asked.

Before Neesha could tell them to abort this question, her mother answered widening the couple's eyes along with Vanya's.

"We gifted them a honeymoon package to Chicago. It was Neesha's dream location and we hope Vedant will like it too."

"Honeymoon?"

"Chicago?"

Vedant and Neesha whispered together as their eyes locked.
