Darkling Guard

The militia of the Union of Darkland Nations, with exclusively Darkling member soldiers. Uniforms included red jackets, black trousers, and sometimes berets.

Egypt Guard

A defense force guarding the Haven and Union capitol at Alexandria, during the conflict with the Etats Libres portions of the force were deployed to Europe to back-up the Vampire City Troops and Darkling Guard, where they participated in the Battle of Danube Valley. Member soldiers are human, uniformed in blue, and trained in hand-to-hand martial arts.

Goth Guard

Originally a companion or body guard for the Leader, Lady, and Elders of Goth. Later expanded to be a national defense, rescue, and police force with select members assigned to personal security details. Wearing of a red lock or braid of hair is common, although not officially uniform among the Guard. Their first appointed Grand Commissioner was Anna.

Goth Peacekeepers

The military of the nation of Goth. Divisions include LuftGoth and SchwartzGoth.

The Host

This is the Angelic police force. The Angels of the Host come from various Orders, but the greatest number come from the Order of the Tarshishim, which is the order in the middle of the Hierarchy. Their leaders are traditionally the Archon and the Satan of the Tarshishim. Their official color is dark red and it is exhibited only as a cloak.

The Morté Mercs (AKA Armée de Paris)

The personal army of Aje Morté. The company has existed in various incarnations under leadership of their apparently immortal general, a suspected member of the Sidhe. A Mercenary force, they fought in various European, African, and Middle Eastern theatres of war. Most frequently the mercenaries were associated with Pro-Darkling forces, but infamously served a rogue member of the Sidhe in an unsuccessful coup attempt against the Union capitol in Alexandria, Egypt.

When Aje Morté was pardoned (to public confusion and questioning) for his part in the Alexandria coup, he began to rebuild his mercenary force out of the Paris Haven, while maintaining a much smaller force at a private ranch in Tanzania.

As the Armée de Paris, the mercenaries operated both under the command of Aje Morté and in their leader's absence as a Haven-directed peacekeeping force in Paris, France during conflicts between Union and États liberté. They were mobilized during the so-called Day of Bombs, participated in a coalition to drive out EL forces from the city, took the place of civil services during the war, and were present during the Revitalisation.

Protestant Underground

An anti-Darkling group operating in both small independent cells and larger para-military companies, predominantly within Europe. Independent cells have been linked to public executions of Darkling, imprisonment and torture of human sympathizers, the Day of Bombs attacks in Paris, attacks against civilian Wolfbreed, and numerous battles with Vampire City Troops, Darkling Guard, and Goth (accused of harboring Darkling).

Among the Goth they are sometimes referred to in code as "Pepe".

The Sacred Battalion

A United States of North America Army Special Forces Battalion and one of a number of experimental voluntary homogeneous force, composed of homosexual soldiers. Under command of LC Regen Gates, the Battalion has a number of specialized teams, including motorcycle squad and Ex-Crimson Guard vampires, and several telepaths.

The battalion has been deployed in USNA operations within Asia, and then in Europe during conflict between Union of Darkland Nations and the Etats Libres. The Battalion participated in a coalition with the Darkling Guard and Armée de Paris to drive EL forces from Paris. Later the Battalion was deployed to use restraining force to keep the Goth from entering France and Gaul, and later escorted the tribe into Paris just before the Revitalisation.

Secret Christian Brotherhood

A para-military force of self-proclaimed "Christian Warriors" with a mission to to defend humanity against all Darkling. They operate in military companies within known theaters of war.

Vampire City Troops

The military force based in Vampire City (Formerly Vatican/Holy See) composed of Vampyres Spawned by General Angel (Blade Dangerous)helmet, mail or existing members of her brood. Uniforms are red, including sections of bulletproof fabrics, mail-reinforced collar, and steal reinforced boots. Battle dress also may include mail covering upper torso and a black or red cloak.

The General reportedly prohibits deaths by fangs in battle as well as drinking from fallen combatants, though this rule has been lifted on at least one occasion.
