S Y N O P S I S

Enter the student life in the prestigious academe of Castillo High — where favoritism is a religion, the campus is a board game, and the system is bullshit. Every single student is a pawn.

But not for long.

Three of the academe's talented students play against the rules and display consecutive acts of anonymous rebellion, which leads to an investigation from Castillo High's newly-put up detective organization: the Campus Sleuths.

It's a battle between the leagues as they hunt for each other's tails, only to discover that both groups are merely pawns in a much larger and more dangerous chess game — with a nefarious mastermind pulling the strings in the background. Will the two factions set aside their different views and agenda to overthrow a culprit whose dominance presides over the student body?

In a place where everyone is a pawn in this chessboard, one must be willing to break the system and overthrow the empire.

N O T E

This story is Book #2 of the Campus Sleuths' Series, serving as the continuation of Book #1 of the Campus Sleuths' Series: "The Sleuth Project" — which is now officially finished and edited! Be sure to read that first before reading this.

As of the moment, I am currently editing "The Empire" to make sure that the new plot points I added in the first book, will coincide in this sequel. Therefore, NEW NEVER BEFORE SEEN CHAPTERS and new details might arise as I edit this book.

In this sequel, the sleuths will solve
their first case related to school injustices and missing persons (that were hinted in the edited Book #1).
