"Legolas come here!" I cried. His pale blonde head wiped around in time to see me duck under a tree. 

"Oh very funny Emig." He laughed and came bounding. "You must remember, I am not a boy any longer." 

I sighed and cupped his face. "No, you still are the little Leaf your father used to toss around and play with." 

"Ada used to toss me around?" Legolas looked at me with wide eyes. 

"Yes my darling, your father played with you." I smiled and we walked to a stone bench. I patted the seat next to me and he sat. "He loved playing with you, it was his favorite thing. I would never have to look far for him if I heard your giggles." I played with his ear. 

He shied away from my fingers. "Emig." He blushed. 

"What?" I smirked. "You loved it when I would play with your ears." 

"Yes, well, I am grown up now..." He smirked again. 

"No, the little leaf I know is still a baby." I giggled as he rose his brows. Thranduil swept out from behind a tree. 

"And he always will be." His loving gaze rested on his son. 

"Adar." Legolas hopped up and stood at full attention. 

"Enough, enough." Thranduil laughed and motioned for him to sit again. "It is true, Legolas. I would spend hours playing with you." 

I smiled and Thranduil sat beside me. "He loved having you crawl on his lap during council meetings, and you always seemed to know where he was when you wanted him." 

"Well... I was young then." Legolas huffed. 

"Oh baby, don't pout." I teased. "I still love you, even though you disrupted many a meeting your father had." 

"It was not that bad." Thranduil smiled at the boy. "You were curious, even as an elfling." 

Legolas ducked his head and played with his bow. His small nose was bunched as his father smirked. I smiled at the two of them and put my arms around Legolas. I  held him tightly as a single tear streaked down my face. 

His blue eyes looked up at my tear stained face. "Emig?" 

"I lost you, both of you for so long." I cried as Thranduil wrapped his arms around me and kissed my temple.  Legolas looked at the two of us. "I shouldn't have left you." I whimpered. "I shouldn't have let you both go." Thranduil held me against him tightly. "I am sorry, I am sorry." I sobbed. 

Legolas dropped on his knees and wrapped his arms around my waist. He buried his face in my stomach. I dropped my hand on his head gently and stroked his hair. Thranduil put his hand on his son's back and held the two of us close. 

"Emig, don't be sorry!" Legolas cried. "You had to go." 

"I-I-" 

"You had to." Thranduil smiled at me. I looked at the two of them. He tipped my head up. "You are the reason why we are together, why we are a family." He kissed my trembling lips and Legolas released my waist. We broke away and he wiped my tears away. "You are the reason we are together." 

"Emig, you needed to go. And Adar needed to let you go, for us to grow." Legolas looked at us both. 

Thranduil smiled and I sat up on my own. "I love you both." I wiped the tears away and kissed Legolas's head and then took Thranduil's large hand in my own. "Legolas, I suppose now would be a good time to tell you that your father and I are going to get married."

Legolas's face expanded in delight. "Really?" He laughed and threw himself into our arms. "I thought you would eventually, but I couldn't let myself hope." 

Thranduil looked at his son. "Im mel cin mui réd." ( I love you my son). 

Legolas's eyes widened even more. He smiled and looked at his father. "Im mel cin too adar." (i love you too father). 

I smiled and watched the father and son finally tell each other the one thing they had longed to hear and say for years. Thranduil gathered the two of us up in his arms. 

I snuggled in and sighed. It was lovely to get to spend time together. Even if it was for a short time.

I am so sorry this is a filler. I am trying so hard to figure out where I am taking this story cause I have so many ideas and they are all bouncing around in my head! I am sorry and I know this probably isn't my best chapter ever, but thank you for reading!
