That's Not a Car!
Slade sighed as he woke up beside Max. "Morning."
Max smiled. "Morning."
Slade kissed Max. "I love waking up with you. I missed you so much!"
"I noticed." Max smiled. "How was recording?"
"Good. I can let you hear some of it... if you want?" Slade wasn't sure that Max would want to hear it. "I have to meet the guys at the studio."
"Slade. I want." Max smiled. He touched Slade's face and sighed. "I missed you so damn much!"
"Me too. Really Max. I missed you!" Slade enjoyed Max's touch.
"I really am interested in what you do. I want to be part of your life. You know, if we are dating?" Max inhaled. He was nervous.
Slade touched his face. "We are dating, Max. I'm having a tough time thinking about letting you go home!"
Max smiled. "Let's just enjoy our time right now."
Slade nodded. "Are we crazy?"
Max laughed. "Oh, we exited crazy a couple weeks ago and entered bat shit crazy!"
Slade laughed. "Let's shower and get dressed and we will go get breakfast then go to the studio. You can listen to music."
"I would love that. The new stuff?" Max smiled.
"Yes." Slade smiled and kissed Max. "I'm starving." Max nodded.
Slade walked to the garage and opened the door. Max stared. "Uh, that is not a car!" There were no cars in the two car garage.
Slade laughed. "I told you that you would hate it! This is my baby. This is a BMW motorcycle. It's gorgeous, huh?"
He walked up to it and straddled it as he slid his helmet on. It was a very pretty shiny black and chrome motorcycle. It was sleek and sexy somehow. The helmet that Slade put on matched the bike. Shiny black and chrome.
"Uh, sure? I want to be that bike right now!" Max smiled at Slade straddling his bike.
Slade laughed. "Get on. Trust me. Take your helmet and turn on the microphone. We can talk." Max brought the helmet over and Slade helped him. He slid it on and he could hear Slade in his head. "Okay?"
Max nodded. "Uh, no!"
"Get on and wrap your arms around me." Slade smiled. "Put your feet on those pegs." He pointed at the silver pegs sticking out of the bike. "Don't touch the exhaust, it gets hot."
"Okay?" Max straddled the bike behind Slade and Slade opened the large door. He started the bike. It was quieter than he thought. He was expecting something loud. "Hold on? Like this?" He wrapped his arms around Slade, tight.
"Perfect. Just lean into corners with me... just hold on. I'll go slower. Okay. Relax and enjoy the ride. Later, you can show me your appreciation!" Slade smiled.
"If we are still alive, I will." Max sighed and squeezed Slade tighter as Slade drove down the driveway to the main road. It was a gorgeous day for a drive. Max found himself enjoying the ride and relaxed. "I can't believe I am riding a motorcycle! I can't believe a lot of things!"
Slade laughed. "I know! I have never had a boyfriend!"
Max was surprised. "Really?"
"No. I dated them or slept with them but never seriously. Hell, I only ever brought one woman home and that was a long time ago." Slade confessed.
"I didn't know that. I have never dated! You are my first everything. How am I doing?" Max sighed. "I have no idea what I'm doing!"
Slade laughed. "Later, I will show you my appreciation!"
Max nodded and watched the green trees go by. They drove into a town and Slade parked in front of a diner. He smelled breakfast. He could smell the bacon. They took off their helmets.
"How was your first motorcycle ride?" Slade watched Max.
"I am shocked. I actually loved it. What happened to me?" Max inhaled. "I'm vegetarian but that bacon smells so good!"
"I'm ruining you!" Slade smiled. Max laughed. "Man, that bacon does smell good! Let me buy you breakfast." He kissed Max and Max followed Slade into the diner, Slade was holding his hand.
"Oh, the other one's here!" A woman behind the counter smiled. "Good morning, Trouble." She saw their hands. "Uh, what is the question I should ask?"
Slade laughed. "Solis didn't tell you. This is Max, my boyfriend. Max, this is my sister, Kennedy." Slade pulled Max close. "I am keeping him, Kennedy."
Kennedy smiled bigger. "Max!" She rushed around the counter and hugged Max. "I am so sorry! I should have guessed that. He never brings anyone. I have met a few flavors but that was on the road!" She called them flavors because Slade never kept them for a long time. The longest one was a month and Slade seemed to really like Max. This was different and Kennedy was relieved. She wanted to see her brother happy.
Max nodded. Kennedy looked like Selena. He smiled at her.
Kennedy smiled. "I'm Graham's wife."
Slade gasped. "Sorry, I forgot my manners. He met Graham at one of the concerts. And yes, I dragged him to a concert."
"Uh, we were supposed to go to the museum with him but he said he had food poisoning." Max inhaled. "I hope he's better."
Slade sighed. "I lied about that. He was fine. He canceled because he knew I liked you." He watched Max.
Max glared at Slade and smiled. "Oh. You are paying for that! I can think of a few things!"
Slade pulled Max close. "Good. Make a list and save it for later." He bit Max's ear. "That better be on it, I will throw it in for free!"
"Boys, break it up! Kennedy is going to throw up!" Solis smiled. "This is a family restaurant. Haven't you guys gotten enough yet?"
Max noticed that Kennedy was back behind the counter but he didn't see her move. He laughed but Slade glared. "No, okay. I can't seem to want to stop either. I'm still not sure what day this is!"
"What?" Solis stared.
"This is the first time we left our room." Slade smiled. Max turned red and noticed that Slade called his bedroom, their room. He loved that.
"Shit! Slade. That was two days ago when we left you." Solis smiled.
"Two days?" Max stared. "No wonder we're hungry!"
Slade laughed. He walked to the counter. "Two of everything!" He smiled. "I want the omelet special."
"Just make it two of whatever you get. I'm starving!" Max smiled. "And a large orange juice."
Solis led Max to a table and sat. "So, how's the sex, Max. Is it all one way?"
Slade sat. "We are taking turns, you perv. It's not your business."
"We are very satisfied." Max looked at the table.
"Clearly! Two straight days of sex? Are you taking breaks at all?" Solis stared.
Slade laughed. "The doctor makes sure we stay hydrated."
Max just laughed.
Solis smiled. "Max, you let us know if he's bad to you. Any one of us would take you. Even Dad and he isn't gay!"
Max just covered his face and shook his head as he chuckled. He loved this family.
"I told you they were inappropriate." Slade smiled. "I'm taking him to the studio so he can listen to the new songs."
Solis smiled. "You two are practically a married couple." He stopped. "Sorry, is that too far? I don't mean to freak you out, Max. I was just teasing."
Max smiled. "I know. It's fine, Solis. I can take being teased."
Slade smiled and kissed Max as the food was delivered. Max ate without looking up as did Slade. They were both finished within five minutes. Both plates were empty.
"Maybe take some food breaks. I don't know, set an alarm!" Solis stated with a chuckle.
Slade just laughed. "I know. I have never had this problem before."
Max shook his head and looked at his plate.
Slade pressed his mouth to Max's ear. "That look right there, that shy look you have, turns me on." He bit Max's ear.
"Okay. I will see you at the studio. You know that there's a storage room in the back that no one uses. You should show him that room first." Solis winked and walked out. He had errands before the studio.
Slade stood and pulled Max to him. "Let's check out that room!" They were rushing from the restaurant. "Thanks, Kennedy!" He tossed bills on the counter and they sped to the studio.
