Baird and Selena invited Slade and Max to dinner before Max left. Max was surprised that their house was nothing fancy. None of them had huge mansions. This was a pretty two story white house with a nice wrap around porch.

"This house is pretty!" Max smiled.

"Mom wanted something that everyone could stay during the holidays. We have to come here for the Fourth of July. It's their Christmas." Slade smiled as they both got off the bike. Max got off first.

"Okay! How does this thing come off!" Max was stuck inside the helmet. "I will be wearing this through dinner!" They both laughed as Slade helped Max take off his helmet and set it on the bike.

"Thanks." Max leaned into Slade and kissed him.

Slade smiled. "I can't wait until we have an argument. The makeup sex will be epic!"

Max smiled. "I know. Our everyday sex is phenomenal!"

Slade kissed Max. "After dinner." It was a warning that sent goosebumps through Max's body. 

Slade took Max's hand and they walked into the house. It smelled delicious in the hallway.

Max wasn't surprised that Baird was in the kitchen baking. Baird smiled. "Max!" He walked around and hugged Max.

Slade glared. "Uh, I'm your son!"

Baird smiled. "Right and you brought Max." He hugged Slade and chuckled.

"So, where's Mom?" Slade looked around.

"She's with a client. Working late." Baird sighed.

"What does she do?" Max never thought to ask. "I can't believe I didn't ask that already!"

"It's fine, Max. She's a lawyer and she loves her job. It's tough to get her out of the office." Baird smiled. "But she knows you are coming so she will be here, soon."

Max smiled. "Okay."

Slade sat and pulled Max beside him. "So, what's going on? Anything?"

"No. I'm making an appointment for my doctor. I found a weird bump on my back!" Baird sighed. "Max, would you take a look? I know you're not at work but I'm kind of worried."

"Dad! Max isn't checking out your weird bump!" Slade groaned.

"It's fine, Slade." Max stood. "Uh, this is good light. Take off your shirt." Baird removed his shirt and pointed out the bump. It was smaller than a peanut. Max looked at it and touched it. "Does it hurt to touch?"

"No." Baird was still.

"Okay." Max moved it around. "I think that it's a ganglion cyst. Nothing dangerous. It's probably just filled with fluid. You can have it drained but it could just refill. It's nothing dangerous, I don't believe. I think you're fine. But go to your doctor and make sure."

"Dad!" Slade shook his head.

Max smiled. "It's fine. I don't mind ever checking on people, Slade. I like helping people."

Slade stood up and wrapped around Max. "I am adding that to my list of reasons that you are sexy!" He pressed Max to the wall and kissed him. Max just laughed in Slade's mouth.

"Well, I'm back!" Selena sighed. "That was a touchy client, my gosh! I mean she is just the worst! I never met a woman that complained so much! I can't wait for this case to be closed!" She walked into the kitchen and smiled. Slade was attacking Max.

"Uh, Max checked out my bump, he said it was nothing to worry about and well, that happened." Baird smiled as he gestured toward the kissing men. He walked over and kissed Selena and was back to cooking.

"See, Slade. You kiss him gently like that and then back away!" He chuckled to himself.

Selena smiled and poured some wine. She inhaled. "So, it's nothing to worry about." She smiled at the couple that was still kissing.

"No, but I have that appointment and I'm still going." He saw a look from Selena. "Max told me to go to see my doctor. Right, Max?" He noticed that Max's tongue was busy. "Oh, he's no help but he really did."

Max chuckled. Slade smiled at his man. "Later, we are finishing that kiss." He touched Max's face.

"Finish? I thought that was finishing a kiss? How do you finish a kiss?" Selena stared.

"With very satisfying and very wild sex." Slade smiled. "I can't get enough." He smiled at Max. He turned to his mom. "Oh, we are thinking about going to Avery Island Friday. You guys want to come? And I asked Max."

"I was fine with you guys coming. We could get to know each other. It would be fun." Max smiled.

"What is Avery Island?" Selena was lost.

Max laughed. "Glad I'm not the only one that lives in a cave."

"Mom, it's where they make Tabasco Sauce." Slade stared at his mom.

"Oh! I knew that. I have never been." Selena smiled. "I could use a break. How far of a drive?"

"Three hours. We are going to find a hotel to violate for the night and take a swamp tour. I want to show Max Louisiana and I haven't really been since we moved here!" Slade smiled. "I love having a boyfriend."

"Are we taking the bike?" Max watched Slade.

"I thought about it but I'm getting a rental. It might rain." Slade smiled when he saw relief on Max's face. "And you're not ready for a long ride yet."

"Thank you!" Max sighed in relief. He wrapped around Slade.

Slade laughed. "He's getting used to the bike."

"It's a pretty bike." Baird smiled. "You don't ride?"

Max laughed. "Uh, no! I own a Lexus! Four doors, four tires."

Selena stared at them. "Slade. I never figured you would end up with someone like Max. I just mean...Max, you are ...you!"

Max nodded. "I agree. I stare at him sometimes just trying to figure us out! I mean, I'm me! I get the conundrum!"

"I think we make perfect sense!" Slade shrugged. "You are exactly what I need, Max. You are quiet, consistent and sexy! I need that in my very hectic life. And I am your opposite. You need me too."

Baird smiled. "You have put a lot of thought into this!"

Slade smiled. "I know. I have spent a lot of time thinking about Max."

Max smiled. "Me too. I never got it though but I love it!" He leaned into Slade. "I was told that we will be here for the Fourth."

Selena smiled. "I would love it! Are you really thinking about coming?" She was kind of shocked.

"Of course. Slade said that you make everyone come." Max shrugged.

"Max! Thanks!" Selena shoved Slade aside and hugged Max. "Sorry, I just figured that Slade would find someone that hated holidays or I don't know...refused to visit. He would take Slade away and we would never see him!"

"Mom, relax! Max and I have things to figure out and we just started dating. Calm down." Slade stared at his crazy mom.

He never knew that was a worry that she had. He hoped he would never settle for some that was like that or tried to control him or keep him from his family.

"I know but I really like him!" Selena smiled.

"I like you too, Selena." Max smiled.

Max had a blast with Slade and his parents. They spent the weekend traveling and touring Louisiana. They took a swamp tour and saw alligators. Max had fun with Slade and never ate that much food in his whole life as he did that weekend.

He loved Louisiana. He loved hanging out with Slade and it didn't matter where they were at all.

People would recognize Slade and he would stop and sign autographs. Others wouldn't but he would see them google and then get an autograph. They probably got him confused with Solis but Slade didn't care.

Slade even sang a couple of songs at a gas station. Max just laughed when he saw how happy it made Slade. He loved to entertain people. Slade was right, they were opposites but in the best way. They complimented each other.
