The Great Gatsby (Fitz)
You often attended parties held in Atlantis.
Never knowing who the host was.
Simply knowing that they were the grandest parties ever to be held in the Lost Cities. They even surpassed those of the Ruewen parties.
You wore the best dresses you owned, enjoying yourself. Eating mallowmelt, custard bursts, all of the fancy sorts. You hadn't the slightest idea of who was the host of these parties. Though you would often look about to try and figure out from your simple curiosity.
You were determined to find out the host tonight at the party. And you wouldn't leave until you did.

Your POV
I wore a fancy [YFC] dress in a [YFS] style. (I personally like mine ruffled)
My [YHC] hair was up like Greeks often wore from the Forbidden Cities. (If it's long, it's up and rolled. If short, it's braided at the bottom.)
With an unflagging determination, I set off.
Timeskip brought to you in part by: Dizznee World and viewers like you. Thank you!
By the time I arrived, the party was already raging. No doubt. Elves of all talents and kinds flooded in with the same taste in elegance. Long colorful silk dresses with white gloves up to their elbows. The men wore fancy black suits or among the likes. Fancily dressed gnomes scampered about the place, carrying drinks in glasses. Some appeared to be slumberry tea, a sedative.
And some wine? I don't ever recall there being any before.
Well, this party just got a lot more expensive..
Elves danced to the upbeat jazz being played on the center stage. Although we didn't enjoy the violent company humans, we admired what they managed to create while alone, depending on their own resources. Especial their music.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw my new acquaintance, Biana Vacker. Originally she spilled some wine on my dress and felt terrible. I didn't regard her much until she mentioned something about knowing who the host of these parties was. She held a glass of slumberry tea, giggling in a slurred manner.
"Hmm, wow [YN]. Your boss must hate you if you ended up buying that dress.."Biana hiccuped, sizing me drunkenly. I rolled my eyes."I'm worth my salt, thank you very much, Ms. Vacker. Now. You said you would introduce me to the host tonight. Where is he?"
She hesitated a little, seeming very sober for quite a few seconds. Before oddly shaking her head like a denying child. "He's not here."
I hissed."How can he not be here? He's hosting this grand party, he must be here!"I snapped.
"He's not."She gave a hasty worried glance to the flight of pearly stairs that led God knows where. I glared at her before dashing towards the stairs. Biana disappeared. Only for her to appear in front of me on the last stair leading into a hidden world behind two large spruce doors.
"[YN]..for your own good, turn around."
I scoffed, my [YEC] orbs sparked with my determination.
I pushed through the doors, only to be faced with a pearly spiral staircase. I removed my heels, hurrying up the stairs. I pushed open an iridescent door, one of which I had never seen. And it was quite heavy.
A man stood out on a balcony. His back facing towards me. Black teal feathers seemed to be protruding from his face, but I doubted it.
I took a step forward, my feet making a slapping sound as the skin collided with the marble floor. He turned around and my breath got caught in my throat.
He was taller than me, maybe 6'2" or 6'3". He wore a mask that circled his eyes, it was white with green sprouting from the eye sockets, three large feathers as aforementioned made a fan on the right corner. In the gaps of the eye sockets I saw dazzling teal eyes. Not hollow. Full of life and love but a forlorn twinkle dappled his brilliant irises here and there. He had sweet sugary looking lips, skin a beautiful light shade almost pale.
"Might I ask, madam, what are you doing in my private quarters?"He hummed.
I froze, his voice was like a violin. Beautiful British accent. Though all elves sort of did have a British accent due to the Enlightened Language. But his had more of a magical sense to it. I were snapped back to reality when he gave a disapproving grunt.
"Oh, right. Sorry. I'm..I'm [YN] [YLN]. Who exactly are you?"I didn't exactly answer his question but I was more intrigued as to who this god was.
His eyebrows curved like gentle crescents, in amusement."I am Fitz. Fitzroy Vacker. Now may I get an answer?"He smiled playfully. My heart skipped a beat, but I nodded profusely.
"I was looking for the host of this parties."
His smile quickly faded and a sorrowful darkness shadowed his gorgeous face. "I see..Well, you happen to be looking at him, Madame [YLN]."He sighed. I blinked blankly, seeing some form of heavy burden on his broad shoulders.
"I am indeed the host of all these grand banquets. You may be wondering why I do not attend my own parties. Why throw them if I myself do not enjoy them. They indeed make me beyond miserable. Loathing myself up here. Drinking my worries away while everyone dances and has a joyous time down on the ballroom floor. I don't throw these parties for me. God no."He closed his eyes, adjusting his mask. Fitz huffed before casting his gaze to the wondrous world below.
Freed from the imprisonment of reality, the elves danced like there was no end. Truly embracing the endless time of their eternal lives. I didn't understand what he was saying. Why he didn't enjoy his own party. But I didn't comment on it. Fitz muttered to himself."Who told you I was here?"He asked.
I froze up."Biana." I figured from their last names, they must've been related. He hissed a little, giving the ceiling a resentful glare."Of course..my daft sibling has to go and ruin my solitary confinement."
I hesitated before popping the cork off the bottle."Why do you throw these parties? They must be unbelievably expensive."He hiccuped a laugh before shutting his mouth firmly, clenching his jaw.
Fitz massaged the silk hem of his galiant cape. He shook his head."I'm an unbelievably wealthy man."He began to circle me like a shark."I throw these parties because I'm quite lonely. I search for people...people like you."He inclined his head.
I felt my cheeks heat up."People like me?"
"Yes, people like you. Curious. Determined. I have no doubts that a few number of elves have asked the looking question: who hosts these parties? But none have the gall to find it out. You though? You went above all. You have been searching for quite some time, my dear, to find out who, just WHO hosts such grandiose celebrations. I host these parties to interest women of your personality."
I nervously cleared my throat as he neared my face. Fitz had pointy ears, I had just noticed. Maybe I was younger than him, he did seem a bit older and wise, my ears were on the verge of sharpening.
"Do you love me, [YN]?"He asked blatantly.
I tilted my head. "Yes."It came out of my mouth on impulse.
"Why? You don't even know who I am."Fitz mused.
I hesitated."I do." His eyebrows arched and he stepped away.
"I've attended every single one of your parties. These parties wouldn't be amazing if they weren't like you. I can feel every aspect of your being in these celebrations. Yes, you may hide your face, but you will never be able to keep yourself from being there in soul attending your parties. You have so much to give. Why keep it to yourself when you can help stressed elves relax!"
I twiddled my fingers, trying to think of a clever line to say to make the meaning come through. "You're just..you. And I can feel that you're an amazing person." Nailed it.
Fitz exhaled lowly and removed his mask slowly. My breath caught in my throat as I saw his face. He wasn't deformed, God no. He was..beautiful. Graceful as he strode closer. A smile curled upon his lips."I see, Miss [YLN]..Now, enlighten me. Would you mind staying at my side for the rest of the night?"
He held out his hand.
"Umm..."
Fitz smiled at my hesitant response.
"It's okay. You need not stay with me. You can simply stay here."
For the rest of the night, we stood out on the unseen balcony. I wasn't there with him. But it reassured me to know this elf.. He was here with me.
