I was messaging Axel's wings. He told me about his parents and what they did to him. That was awful. I never thought that parents would do that. I felt really bad for Axel but right now I will let Axel sleep.  I was about to get up out of the bed when I felt something grab my wrist. I looked to the person who grabbed me by the wrist. 

"Axel please let go?" I asked the half asleep boy. He did not let go but decided to pull me closer to him. Now I was laying next to him with his wings around me,"Axel are you alright?"

"Yea, I'm fine. Just doing my job," He said wrapping his arms tighter around me. 

"What do you mean?" I asked. 

"Well someone wants me to keep you out of harms way," He explained.  I looked at those deep blue ocean eyes. 

"Really why?"I asked. He shrugged. I looked at him and said, "I guess that makes you my guardian angel."

"I guess so," Axel said with a smile forming on his lips.

"So how bad did your parents do you know what?" I asked. 

"They chained me to the wall and stuck knifes into my wings," He said calmly. I could feel him tremble in my arms. 

"I'm sorry that they did that to you, Axel but you don't have to worry about that anymore. I won't let anyone hurt you," I said expressing something that I never thought of before.

"Thanks Ethan,"he said nuzzling closer. 

"Yea no problem," I said.

~~Time Skip~~

It was now dawn. I woke up still in Axel's arms. I felt so safe and warm in his arms. I got a better look at Axel. He has a lot of scars on his chest. His wings are so beautiful. Axel is now waking up. 

"Morning Axel," I said. There is a knock at my door,"You may enter."

"Good morning prince. I see you slept well with that angel of yours," Bob said looking disgusted at Axel.

"Yes, I did. Oh can you get some clothes for him?" I said.

"Of course," He bowed then left. There was another knock at the door and then they entered.

"Good morning son and Axel,"My father said looking at Axel.

"Morning your Majesty," Axel said with a small bow.

"Oh, we have another gentleman in the room," My father teased. 

"Morning father," I said. 

"Now down to business. Why are you here?" He asked.

"To protect your son from harm. That is my job from my fellow angels,"Axel said calmly.

"Why were you injured?" He demand. This is turning into an interrogation. 

"My parents did this to me," He said quietly looking at the floor. 

"Really?" He asked," I don't believe you," 

"You want proof. I get it," Axel said pulling out a sphere like thing. My father and I looked into it and saw what his parents did.

"Alright, I believe you but if you betray my son or me. You will rot in my prison. Got it," My father threatened.

"I would never do such a thing,"Axel said looking at me with a hint of kindness in his eyes. 

"So he is staying in the palace?"I asked in excitement. My father nodded.

"But he is your responsibility," My father said leaving the room," Ethan I want to talk to in privately for a minute," He said. I nodded. I got out of the bed and walked into the hall.

" What is it?" I asked looking at my father.

"Do you love this angel and do you trust him?" He asked.

"I do,"
