Chapter One
"Honestly, little brother, what is the commotion on about now? Have they no common sense? Or perhaps their instincts that kept them alive in the past, keeps them from performing their duties now," Vladimir Phantomhive, the new Lord of the Phantomhives, mused while tussling his pale cornsilk coloured hair.
His younger brother, Ciel Phantomhive, Earl of the Phantomhive family, merely smirked at his older brother's words and continued sipping his tea.
"My master and young lord, it appears that those three have been fooling around all day and have not yet done their duties, but not to worry for I have done all of their duties and more," Sebastian Michaelis, head butler and demon of the Phantomhive estate, had a close eyed smile on his devastatingly handsome face.
He then bowed before his young masters but kept his dark crimson eyes on his mate who was only a few inches shorter than him.
Vladimir's now bright ruby red eyes narrowed as his hand shot out and swiftly smacked Baldroy on the back of his head, making him grunt in pain.
Ciel's single electric blue eye landed on Finnian who was not quick enough and ended up getting hit in the back of his head with a dart.
"Ow, Young Master! I was getting back to my duty until I had seen Sebastian had everything perfected," Finnian cried and the head butler merely raised a perfect eyebrow.
"Be as it may, you three know better or should know better than to slack off on your duties, all three of you are lucky that I don't lose my temper this instant," The eldest Phantomhive's eyes darkened into a molten gold and very quickly, the three servants were apologizing.
Almost everyone was fearful of Vladimir Phantomhive and they had good reason to be, his younger brother was just as fearsome to most except those who underestimated him.
The three servants quickly went back to their duty stations, not wanting to anger their eldest master.
"Mister Damiano is visiting today and we will be sure to give him every Phantomhive hospitality," Sebastian continued smiling and Ciel rolled his eye.
"If that fool dares to tarnish our family's reputation and work, I'll not care for formalities but for his blood to be on my hands," Vladimir hissed and his jewelled kaleidoscope eyes become fiery amber.
Ciel laid his inky blue black haired head on his older brother's shoulder, gently rubbing circles into his palm.
"Do not worry, master, I have everything under control, and if you truly desire to have your porcelain skin stained with his revolting blood, then it shall be done," Sebastian smirked as his short mate smiled darkly.
The younger Phantomhive brother, felt a small smile pull at the corners of his lips as he felt his older brother begin to purr quietly.
And then the demon became very happy at his Neko mate, showing off his feline features as white cat ears sprouted along with whiskers and a long lethal tail, his claws and fangs were sharpened.
"What have I done to deserve such a wonderful Neko as my master and mate?" Sebastian mused as his dark crimson eyes locked onto his mate's jewelled fiery amber and ruby irises.
The eldest Phantomhive let out louder purrs that made his demon mate want to pin him against the wall and ravish him into delirious ecstasy but Sebastian knew his little mate wasn't ready for that yet and he respected that.
Didn't mean that it was going to stop him from fantasizing though, his mate was far too beautiful to not be cherished.
Most of Ciel's innocence stayed intact but he and his older brother still had flashbacks and night terrors about their time as cult sacrifices.
And Vladimir usually let Finnian be the one to comfort his younger brother while Sebastian held his internally scarred mate close and ran his fingers through Vladimir's pale cornsilk wavy hair.
The reason why both Phantomhive brothers preferred Finnian over the other two servants was because the young gardner had been in a similar situation like them.
He had been kidnapped and experimented on, given inhuman strength and an advanced healing factor but they had also branded him as a test subject on the back of his neck which he usually kept covered with his hat sliding low.
Plus the fact that whether Ciel admitted his feelings to the youthful gardner or not, his older brother knew the younger Phantomhive male adored Finnian but he would most likely never admit it.
Ciel was only thirteen, he would be turning 14 soon, December 14th would be arriving soon in no time, while Finnian had just turned 15.
But young and sort of oblivious Finnian knew he held adoration for his youngest master but he thought he wouldn't stand a chance, especially with Ciel's annoying fianceé who the late Rachel Phantomhive was quite reluctant to allow such a forced betrothal.
She and Vincent always wanted their sons to find love on their own, not to be forced into it, they had been lucky to fall in love with each other, although Angelina Dallas, Rachel's older sister, still held unrequited love for the late Vincent Phantomhive.
"Such softness, such a beautiful creature indeed," Sebastian tenderly pet his Neko mate's cat ears and lightly kissed Vladimir's wrist as he bowed.
His words of adoration for the eldest Phantomhive, snapped Ciel out of his thoughts and although both he and his brother wanted nothing to do with Damiano, they needed him to fall right into their morbid trap.
His fear of them was crucial and Ciel sensed more than felt his older brother's hand gently pat his back as both brothers did their past not to relapse back into that awful night that caused all of their torture and suffering.
"Master and young lord, shall I ready the study for lessons?" Their demon butler asked as if thinking they were slow.
"No and do not ever use that tone with me, Sebastian, you are quite lucky that I don't just have you babysit Ciel," Vladimir hissed.
The demon shuddered, the last time he had babysat the youngest Phantomhive brother, it took him the entire day to keep Ciel from looking for trouble and to make sure he ate and went to bed.
"Forgive me, my beautiful mate, my most merciful yet ruthless master," Sebastian purred and he watched in fascination as his mate's cheeks blossomed into delicate rose petals, making the demon smirk with pride.
"Ciel is only to have a lesson on the Persian Empire and nothing more," Vladimir decided.
