KAI

After leaving Laura's room, who falls asleep as soon as she gets on her bed. I go my room and stop in front of the TV, I press the on button. The screen turns on, showing my sister or rather the AI version of my sister, Kaia upgraded the AI and gave it her face. "Welcome, Kai Stark." It says and the screen goes black before the TV shifts forward and the wall behind it opens, scarping against the ground, revealing a secret elevator I installed the day I bought this place.

I walk behind the TV and step inside the elevator. The door closes and the ride begins. This elevator only goes to the underground station that no one knows about. When the door opens, I sigh before getting off. It's been a while since I've been down here. Everywhere has been going well. Earth has been quiet but with Laura here, it's only a matter of time before others comes. And when that times comes, I don't think I'll be able to protect Earth, I barely hold my own with Laura.

The LED lights begins to fill the room until the whole place is dancing in bright light. "Welcome, Kai Stark." The voice welcomes me to the place I control everything. This is where I overlook everything.

"Hello, Kaia. How have you been?" I ask and take a seat on the swivel chair that's in the middle of the monitors.

"Very good sir. Do you want me to contact your sister?" It asks. One would think I'm used to having an AI that has my sister's voice and also has her name. Kaia names her Kaia 2.0 and her latest update was making the AI be more of a being than a machine.

"No. Why wasn't I informed about the arrival of El-Laura-El?"

"My apologies sir. The El-Sah-El Di Hipsodat isn't supposed to be in Earth. Her travels wasn't planned. What do you need sir?"

Kaia 2.0 knows Laura and the fact that the AI referred to her as El-Sah-El is something.

"I want to know everything there is to know about Di Hipsodat and Kaia, I mean everything fucking thing you can finding including what their sky and plants are like."

Kaia 2.0 takes a minute to gather the informations I need and it begins to tell with images showing on the monitor. The first to appear is something that resembles bed of crystals but not quite. I wait for Kaia 2.0 to explain what it is before I ask questions.

The image is in fact the sky that covers the entire realm. Crystalline sky. Their sky is what's shielding them from the sun and moon, so normally they won't see sun or moon with their eyes. It continues to tell me all about the plants they have, everything green on the realm is edible and touchable but every other plants are dangerous.

"What's the time like there?" I ask and add, "compared to Earth."

"I estimated a thousand years on Earth to a day in Di Hipsodat. At this current time, it appears that the realm is past and future in comparison to Earth. Past in the sense that they use the beast of burden as means of transportation. Future in sense that their technology is more advanced than Earth.

Di Hipsodat is located somewhere in the Galaxy, I can't pinpoint the exact location because of the closure of The Gateway into the realm, which is also known as The El gates. The creatures in the realm are humanlike and animals. There are two races, namely Elians, the royal family, and Darians, the rest of the citizen, which are mostly referred to as Lesser beings."

It continues to tell me everything from the class system to family structure to what's sacred, and I notice The Dran is part of what's sacred.

Magic is banned, and anyone caught practicing except some certain people is death penalty. El-Gar-El, The High Priestess, and The Three witches of the Golden. Laura's name isn't listed but she has powers maybe not magic.

"What can you tell me about Riga or Rig-El?" I ask after learning everything I need to know about Di Hipsodat, now I have now insight on the where Laura's from.

"Riga, the former general of the soldier in Di Hipsodat. Former commander of the royal army. It's rare on Di Hipsodat to move from being a Darian to an Elian. Riga was the first, becoming Rig-El. Laura-El bested him in a fight and became the new general and commander without the title Rig-El became Riga once again. Shamed by this, he left the realm until his return to stage a coup but was unsuccessful. He was again bested by Laura-El, which made him fled in disgrace. He hasn't been sighted since."

There are somethings Kaia 2.0 doesn't know after all. Riga tricked Laura to another realm and locked her out of Di Hipsodat. The AI confirmed that The El gate is sealed but I want to be certain that it's Riga's doing.

"Is there a way to get into Di Hipsodat with the El gate?"

"Yes. Riga was able to get into the realm with passion the El gate."

Another clever way of telling me she doesn't know what he used to get into the realm.

"Can you find me a way into the realm?"

"No. But I will find Di Hipsodat."

"Thank you, Kaia. That'll be all."

I get up and leave the place, going up to my room. What a crazy day I've had. I don't think I've been this tired since I first landed on Earth. Laura is a lot of work and it's a good thing I found her like that because I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't find her. I just hope Kaia 2.0 finds a way into the realm because Laura can't be here. She shouldn't be here.

Going to take a quick shower and sleep. I'm all worn out and I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow. I want to show Laura around the city. I'm not sure how long she'll be here but till then I want her to know what's wrong and right on Earth.

I change into a black T-shirt and pant before going to sleep.

The following morning, I wake up earlier than I usually do and brush my teeth before heading to Laura's room. I rap my knuckle on the silver french door and get no response. I knock again and enter the room without waiting for her to let me in, I doubt she even knows what it means.

Stepping into the room, I see Laura in the same position I saw last night when I returned from the basement. I recognize the post due to the images Kaia 2.0 showed me. This is the Dihipians way of meditating.

I stand and watch her still mid air. It feels impossible but she can fly, so it possible for her but how is she comfortable thinking upside down?

"I'm used to it," she answers my thoughts and at the same time her eyes shoot open, icy blue eyes piercing at me. "And I wasn't thinking." She turns her body like he wants to somersault and lands on her feet and approaches me.

"Good morning to you, Princess. How are you today? Did you sleep well? What are you doing awake so early? Did you even sleep? What were you doing if not thinking?"

Laura doesn't stop walking until she gets to my front. "Good morning to you, Kai. I feel angry because I can feel my home in danger and I'm stuck with no way to help," she answers in a calm tone, not as angry as she was yesterday. "I couldn't sleep well because your friends kept thinking and talking about me. I'm awake because your friends kept me awake, I wanted to know what they are thinking and I couldn't shut them off because they are afraid and their fear give me power. I slept but not very well. I was learning more about this place. I learned that beings in this planet are actually called Humans."

It's a good thing that she's learning some things on her own, I won't have to stress myself while teaching.

"Are you still feeling tired and sleepy?" I ask.

She nods.

"Go back to sleep, it's still very early and it's dark outside."

"I noticed. Will you stay with me?"

I don't think I've ever been speechless when it come to a woman asking me to stay with her, but Laura isn't like any woman I've ever met.

"Sure. Why?" I just need to know.

"I like exploring your mind and right now you're thinking about human heat sensory device. I find it boring and it's making me sleepy." She says.

She means no offense but damn! She just said my next creation is boring. Great! I'll let my team know right away.

"Get on the bed, I'll be here."

Like a compulsion, Laura walks to her bed and crawls under the blanket. "Are you coming?"

What?

"Wait... You want me to”–I point at myself before looking back to be sure she's referring to me–“sleep beside you?"

She nods.

She clearly doesn't know anything about–

"About what?" She asks.

I haven't even–

"Will you stop doing that? Stop reading my mind. It's feels like you're invading my privacy."

She snorts and turns to lay on her side, watching me as I walk towards her
