LAURA

Kai Stark can teleport. I'll remember that when next I face Kaia. I don't know what creatures they are or where they both come from but I know they are very different from each other. Kai thinks his sister is good but I know her. I know is more evil than the word evil itself. Kai thinks she bested me the last time we faced each other but he doesn't know I'm the reason she's in hiding.

He leaves me in this room and goes up to prepare where I will be sleeping. I ignore his words as he walks away. His emotions will soon wear off from me and I will be back to my normal self in no time. Part of my powers is feeling what others can feel, it has more to do with Dihipians but I wanted to know what Kai thought me, so I looked into his head, and that's how I know he's no ordinary being. I sense the power of the old gods in him or maybe he is an old god.

I move around the room and stop in front of a large screen hanged on the wall, I raise my hand to trace the screen. I've never seen anything like this. Earth has so many things and I'm yet to see all of them. It's like an adventure and I want to everything.

I'm about to test my powers on the screen when an unfamiliar voice stops me. "Who are you?"

Turning around, I see a woman standing in the middle of the room, looking at me somehow. She is different from Kai. Her skin color is darker and her hair is curly. A cloth is hanging on her shoulder.

"I'm Zazie." She introduces herself and walks to me, stopping in front of me. "Are you a friend of Kai's?"

I ignore her and stare at her hair. It is different than Kai's and I don't know but I think I like how it look. Raising my hand to touch her hair, she pulls back and raises her hand up. "Whoa whoa whoa, don't be a creep. I asked you a question; are you Kai's friend?"

"No, I am not Malakai's friend." I answer her.

Zazie frowns and wraps her arms around herself. "How did you get in here? And what the hell are you wearing?" She looks at my uniform and there's no mistake in how she feels about it.

"Kai brought me here, and this is my uniform." I reply and turn away from her. She asks too much questions and I don't like how that makes me feel.

She walks around me and stops in front me. "Are you his girlfriend?" She asks rather curiously. I think she's trying to start a conversation but I've had enough with Kai. "Because it's totally okay if you are, let me tell everything about Kai before you take your relationship to the next step, that guy is a total—"

When I bumped into that boy earlier, I learned that he says 'screw this shit' when he's fed up with something and the same goes with Kai.

"Screw this shit!" I mutter and cut off her word when I wrap my hand around her neck and left her up.

Her hands comes to mine and tap it, her nails clawing my skin but I don't mind. She should learn that I'm not the type of person that enjoys small talk. It makes me angry.

Just when I feel the life slipping from her, Kai interrupts me. Earthlings are weak.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!"

Without letting her down, I tilt my head to look at Kai. "She talks too much." I tell him.

"Let her go. Let her go now! Now, Laura!"

His tone just angers me more. I tighten my hold around her neck and glare at him. "Or what?" He dares call me Laura after I warned him never to call me that. So I dare him to push me and he will watch his pathetic friend die.

Kai sighs and looks down. "You asked for it." He mutters. Asked for what? I don't get the chance to ask before facing me with his eyes all white, he touches my temple with his finger and whispers. "Sleep."

My hand loosen around Zazie's neck as I drop down to sleep, my body hitting the glass center table.

I'm asleep but my ears are opened, I can hear what's going on around

"Zazie, I—" Kai can't get a word out.

"W-who... Is... W...who—" Zazie tries to speak.

"Shh Zazie, don't talk," He tells her. "I'm going to put you to sleep, okay?"

"I—"

"Don't worry, she's not going to do anything to you in fact she's going to heal you." Like hell I will. He sounds sure of himself. I'm angry for what he did to me, putting me to sleep like this. "Sleep Zazie, sleep."

I hear groaning and then footsteps, before he approaches me. "Wake up." He whispers and I jolt awake.

My eyes shoot open to see Kai standing over me. It's only makes me furious. "How. Dare. You?" I grit out as I rise from the floor.

He comes forward, standing toe to toe with me. He doesn't look afraid of me, which is a big mistake. "You almost killed Zazie. You would have if I hadn't stopped you!" He snaps. "Did anyone ever tell you that I am very protective of my friends?"

I stare at him with no expression or remorse. "You shouldn't have done that." I tell him.

"You were draining her, I couldn't let you kill her and I wouldn't let you do it either!" He scowls.

It's true I was draining Zazie's life force and I don't feel sorry for her.

"She was being mouthy. I had to shut her up...permanently."

"You will heal her." He orders in a tone I know too well, a tone my father used on me when I try to argue my way out of an execution. Nobody tells me what to do except my father. Nobody speaks to me that way and live to tell the tale. Kai Stark is pushing me and I will not hesitate to push back.

"I will do no such thing," I tell him and I mean it.

Kai takes a threaten step towards me, I don't let that scare me because I know Kai won't do anything stupid. "You will do as I say, Laura."

There he goes again with the name.
Angry, I take hold of his right hand and twist it to the back, catching him off guard as he turns around with his hands press against his back and his wrist burning from my hold. I kick the back of his left knee, making him fall on one knee before kicking the second one. He is full on kneeling with his hand pressed behind his back.

"I am Lurytendra El-Laura-El El-Sah-El Di Hipsodat, you do not tell me what to do." I let him know that by leaning towards him to whisper the last part in his ear, just I'm about to pull away Kai surprises me by grabbing fistful of her hair, using all his strength to pull me forward, pushing me up with his shoulder as he stands up, causing my back slam on the floor.

Kai taes steps back and looks at his bruised wrist and also the cut marks on his palm. I smirk, knowing what grabbing my hair did to his palm. When I'm fighting everything about me is a weapon and I am not afraid to activate it.

"I don't care who you are. I fucking don't but as long as you on my planet, my house, you"–He points his finger at me. –"listen to me."

I growl and toss a shuriken at him, Kai sees it comes and avoids it by tilting his head. I stand up and stretch my hand to call back the shuriken, the weapon flies back, grazing and unaware Kai in the neck as it makes it way back to palm.

Kai presses his hand against the opened skin and looks at me. "Don't make me put you to sleep again, it won't be fun." He warns.

He dares threaten me with sleep again. It's like he does learn and here I thought there's no one can rile me up like Kaia and Riga.

I growl at him, this time showing him fangs before going for him. Catching him off guard, I place my hand on his shoulder to push myself up before sitting on his shoulder with my legs wrapped around his neck.

"Bloody anima—" I don't let him finish as I fall backwards with removing my legs from his neck, causing Kai to flip and hit his body against the wall, landing on the ground with a loud thud. He groans painfully and reaches to press his hands against the back of his neck.

"What the hell is going on here?" An unknown voice booms from the doorway. Kai groans again before closing his eyes, sliding down until he's lying down flat on the ground.

I stand up from the ground and glare at the Intruder, who is standing inches away from her. "Lee meet Laura, Laura meet Lee. Keep your distances Lee, she's very dangerous." Kai manages to say.

I watch Lee mouth drops open, looking perplex as his eyes goes from Kai to me, his eyes moves away from me connecting with something behind me. His eyes widens as he rushes pass me. "Zazie!"

This alerts Kai as he opens his eyes to warn Lee. "Don't touch her, Lee!" Kai seems to know more about my life force draining powers because he wouldn't have warned Lee if he didn't know that touching Zazie means I'm also taking his life force.

Kai gets on his feet, healed of all wounds and approaches me with determination. He stops in front of me and scowls. I eye, daring him to say something he'll regret. Something that will make me kill him off and add his soul to my ledger.

"Back at mall when you were feeling my emotions, you told me you trusted me. But I can't say the same about you," he swallows, "I know what you are, El-Sah-El, and I'm aware of what you are capable of. You are your father's executioner, and you don't hurt innocent people in Di Hipsodat, sure you follow your orders but you had one rule of your own, you might be a ruthless monster, El-Laura-El but I know in your heart that you are a kind and generous soul, you just need guidance." He sighs and stuffs his arms into his pocket. "I'm willing you show you, just save Zazie."

He thinks he knows me. I've only been a for few hours and he's already giving me this speech.

"Or what, Stark? What are you going to do if I let your friend die?" I demand.

"You said it yourself, my friend." Kai points at the dying girl. She's strong, I'll give her that because she's supposed to be dead by now. "She is my friend, and I would do anything to save her, even if it means hurting you."

Hurting me?

I scoff. "Don't mistake teleportation and power of manipulation as real power Malakai Stark. You want to know what real power is?" I ask before shifting my gaze to Zazie. "It's killing people with just a touch. You don't have the power to stop or hurt me."

"True," he sniffles. "You are right, I can't overpower you but I'm begging you." He sounds desperate.

And I love when people are desperate. There silent and loud cries when I'm about to suck the life out of them. The sound is appealing to my ears.

"I will save her but you have to do something for me first."

Kai chuckles but there's no humor in it. "Trying to blackmail me, Princess. You only just got to Earth."

"Knee and pledge your loyalty to me, and I will save your friend."

Kaia was in the same position like this when we met at Predan and I gave her the same option. Pledge your loyalty to me and I will let you live. Kaia told me The Mesdowellians are higher beings. They do not now to anyone. I don't know about The Mesdowellians but I want to see if she was telling the truth or just trying to manipulate me out of killing her.

His next reaction confirms it.

"Anything but that, I can't knee or pledge my loyalty to you, in fact it should be reversed. I helped you. I save you. I fed you. I clothed you. I fucking brought you to my home and this is what I get for helping you!" He raises his voice and I don't know how that makes me feel. I find joy in everything I do but no this. Somehow I hate making Kai angry. "I don't just have the power to manipulate people's state of well being, I can also manipulate their feelings and thought. Don't make me go into your head, Laura, I might damage you."

I look away from him to Zazie. This is a first for me, returning someone's life force that I drained, but it will make Kai happy then I'll do it. "Ilinglis." The energy lives my body and finds Zazie. Her body begins to float in air as her energy covers her. The bruises in her neck begins to heal and color returns to her–

A painful scream erupt from my throat as my body lights up in flame.

"I'll explain everything to you, I promise but first take Zazie and go lock yourself in the basement, I'll come get you what everything is over." I hear Kai say but I can't focus on that.

He's in pain. He's in trouble. He needs me.

I feel Kai kneel in of me but doesn't touch me. "Laura, what's going on?"

I stop scream in drop my palms on the floor. I let the inner demon in me take over because I can only bear this pain when I'm fully in control of myself and powers, which includes the deadliest part of me.

"Azra."
