"Taehyung, this is Jungkook. Jungkook, this is Kim Taehyung. He is the son of someone who was a very good friend of mine."

Jungkook raised his head and looked up at the boy standing in front of him.

A boy dressed in a shirt, completely buttoned with a bow. He looked at Kookie with wide eyes whch later turned into a line as a rectangular smile took form in his face. The boy suddenly grabbed Kookie's hand and said,

" Hello Jungkook!"
Kookie didn't know how to react. He glanced at his appa and back to the new boy.

'Share a room?! With this stranger?'was what went across his mind.

His mother had already cleared space in his room for the new boy's things. He was asked to share his toys and his bed. This was more than what a five year old could bear.

For the first few nights he purposely would kick the new boy off the bed and pretend to be asleep if asked anything.

Usually appa would drop him at school and leave. Kookie had to walk to class by himself. Him being tiny, it was a little nerve wrecking. The big kids scared him regardless of them being girls or boys.

Then one day Taehyung was dropped at school with him.

"Walk him to his class and pick him up after class. Never let go of his hand okay? He is your little brother. Take care of him," appa had told Taehyung.

Ever since that day Taehyung held Kookie's hand and walked him to his class. School didn't seem so scary after that.

"These are the friends I had. We had the best time together. We played lots of games like soccer, hide and seek, catch and run," Tae showed a photograph of him with five or six boys to Kookie.

"This is Nana. He is my favourite," Tae said holding out a little stuffed old brown teddy bear from his trunk.

"Actually he is the only one I have," he said looking at the bear. Then he looked up at Kookie and said,

"But you can play with him if you want."

Kookie took the old bear from Tae and looked back at him with wonder.

"Go on. Pat him. He likes it," Tae added. Kookie patted the bear and looked at Tae who gave him his signature boxy smile. This made kookie's face light up with his own signature bunny smile. Nana sleeps with Tae even today.

Soon dresses were exchanged, toys were mixed. Whenever something was bought, it was bought for the both of them. And if just one item was bought, they shared.

Tae made friends with everyone easily. He smiled all the time and made everyone happy. It was fascinating to Kookie who was normally very shy and took time to get adjusted to people.

No one would even suspect that Tae had a sad childhood. That he didn't know who his real parents were. But he didn't need to anymore. He had Kookie now.

It was Kookie's interest and Tae's friendship with a like-minded Hoseok that led to their trip to the Bowl. There Kookie met everyone else starting from Jin to finally Namjoon.
