Fokko Monthly Prompt Written Entry
Strabii gonna be making another chapter with the other one, and maybe another one after that, but I'm not sure.
Apollo quickly ran around, gathering everything he needed for his costume. Paper, check. Scissors, check. Cardboard box, check. Markers, also check.
What else do I need? he asked himself. He glanced around at all of the stuff he had.
"String!" Apollo exclaimed out loud. His frantic searching continued, until he concluded he had none. He needed string so that he could keep his costume on.
"What will I do?" he said, laying down on the floor and covering his eyes with his paws.
Suddenly, he shot back up. I know! Ai and Ren will probably have some!
---
After arriving at the house of two of his friends, he knocked on the door. He paced around on their porch for a bit, thinking to himself while he waited for one of the fokkos to answer, completely oblivious to the figure sneaking up behind him.
Ai and Ren are sure to have string! There's no way all of us could be out.
"Boo!" a voice called out, jumping in Apollo's path. Apollo scrambled back with a frightened yelp, and the bearer of the voice started laughing.
"Ai, it's not funny!" Apollo said. "You really scared me!"
"I'm sorry." Ai was still laughing as she pulled the sheet off from over her head. It was a sheet with a light pink to white gradient, and very subtle hearts which had become practically non-existent from going through the wash multiple times.
"Anyways, what was it you need?" the pink fokko asked, looking at her friend.
"I need some string so that I can keep my costume on my back," Apollo explained. "Would you happen to have any?"
"We should," Ai replied. She went inside. "Follow me."
As soon as they got inside, Ai yelled out, "Ren, do you know where the string is?"
The sky piano-themed fokko came out from around a corner. "It should be in the kitchen. Somewhere... I can help find it, if you'd like."
"M'kay, thank you," Ai said. She ran into the kitchen with Ren, and Apollo followed behind them slowly.
"Aha! Here it is!" Ren said. He took the string to Apollo. "Why do you need string?"
"It's to make sure my costume doesn't fall off," Apollo told him.
"What is your costume, Apollo?" Ai asked.
"Come with me and I'll show you!"
---
After putting his costume together, drawing on the box a bunch, and putting it on, Apollo walked out of his room to the living room, showing off his costume. Green and orange were painted on the box.
"I'm a box turtle!" Apollo said proudly. "And look!" He pulled himself into the box, hiding himself, before going back out.
"Oh, that's so cool!" Ai exclaimed. "How did you think of it?"
"I had a box, and I like turtles, and box turtles are real things, so I figured why not!" Apollo said. He spun around in his box a few times, making sure that it wouldn't come off. "Now I just have to practice walking like a turtle."
