Chapter Twenty-Nine: Rave!
The next day had approached and it was official Halloween, through I never cared for this Holiday, it was the one I could act like myself and not be a freak of Nature. So, that was the only plus side here and for this one night.
The School day had gone by fast and I hardly saw anymore of my friends as I wasn't up for talking to them just yet. The whole thing with Barrow taking me, I didn't know why he wanted me, it made no sense. I heard that Danny was throwing his Halloween party tonight, at a place that Aiden had offered up to him as Derek was out.
I had made my way to Derek's loft, as I left my bag at home, the night was going to be warm as the place will be filled with hot teenagers, so I wore something more comfortable and not death traps like heels... And I mean death trap for teenagers who get in my way...
As I was outside of the building, I see Derek pull in and park outside, getting out and facing the car as I see three children dressed up approaching Derek and he likely heard them. Derek suddenly, spins around to face the children. I had stopped in my tracks to watch the scene play out, only a few meters away.
"Trick or treat!" All of them spoke at the same time, staring at Derek, waiting for him to give them candy. Derek looks at the three of them, before he moves his hand inside the car as he left the window down, but his eyes never left the children. I could hear there little heart-beats pick up, but Derek pulls out a large bag of M&M's which held multiple packs of them inside. The children open their sacks as they were filled with sweets, Derek places a bag in each of the sacks without saying a word to them. Once he finished, the children stayed as they wanted some more. But Derek had other plans, just then his eyes glowed a blue colour and he growls at the children, scaring them off.
"Who's sneaking up now, " Derek had said, loud enough for me to hear as I walked up to him. He turns to face me, holding a grin on his chiselled face.
"Oh how the tables have turned," I replied smugly, as I crossed my arms over my chest as he stares at me.
"I heard what happened," Derek had spoke, his grin had dropped as he began serious. "Glad you're safe," was the Big bad Ex-Alpha cared for someone else.
"Thanks," I replied as I uncrossed my arms and let them dangle, as this as awkward. We haven't talked properly since our talk last time in his loft. Our eyes averted one another for a few moments as we stood just not speaking or we were waiting for either one of us to speak.
"So do you need anything else?" He had asked, making me cock an eyebrow up at me, as he didn't want to deal with his feeling right now.
"Really? Your not going to talk about our connection," I spoke as my voice was raised at him. "There I said it. There's something between us! And you know it, plus you feel it!" My eyes burned into his as he knows deep down that there was something between us, but he didn't want to trust me because his luck with women isn't great right now.
But he just stood there, his eyes averted from mine as he didn't want to look at me right now. But his eyes finally connected to mine, but they made me weak at this point, made me just want to pounce on him. I just huff and turn around, but before I could move an inch, Derek had grabbed my arm and spun me around. His soft lips connected to mine within seconds, there was passion, fireworks. I was stunned and I didn't know where to place my hands but they found their way to his hair, I ran my fingers through, as the kiss went deeper.
He tastes so good, my hand moved from his hair to his cheek, as my finger-tips glide over his stubble. We began to pull back from the kiss, staring at one another. There was really strong sexually tension between us and we couldn't fight it but I didn't want to fall for a wolf, I wasn't ready...
I look away from his stare and pulled back, I literally had to will myself off of him and folded my arms over my chest again, to stop myself from touching him. "Is this how you get every girl's attention?" I had asked, my tone clearly annoyed.
"I don't do this to get attention Alice. I do this because I care," Derek had replied back his voice raised slightly, but did he just said he cared?
"You shouldn't care about me. I don't deserve it," I replied quickly at him as he looked at me oddly, like I was making no sense. "Bye, Derek," I said to him softly, as I turned around and walked away, but I know he wanted to stop me but he didn't. I hope this party is worth it...
.............................................
The party was in progress, Derek's loft was vibrant with life and energy. The power was out, but Danny had used UV light, so when certain paint is used, it would glow on the skin. I stood awkwardly in a corner of the loft, as teens danced and listened to the music as it blurt out from the DJ. I drank from a cup that light up in the UV lights as it was splashed with paint. But I wasn't going to stand here and feel sorry for myself on what happened with Derek, this was the second time he kissed me.
Through the crowd I see a woman with a paint brush, painting people with the special paint. I smile to myself as an idea had formed in my head. I downed my beer and looked around just to see if anyone was looking. I pushed off in my legs, and vamp-sped across the room to where she stood. She spun around to see me there, looking surprised.
"Face or body?" The woman had asked, as she was covered in this special paint from head to toe.
"Body," I replied, leaning into her so she could hear me. I took of my top and wrapped it around my waist. I had wore a black lace bar with a over-hang. I just thought it would look sexy on me.
"What do you want?" The woman had asked, as she lent in so I could hear her over the loud music. I pondered for a moment, as I never really thought about it.
"A pentagram on my chest," I had asked her, as she looks back and stares at my chest. My breasts were a pretty normal size, not too big nor too small. She just nods her head, knowing that she could do it. She dabs her brush into a orange colour, and started to spread the substance onto my chest area just above my breasts.
Within minutes, the woman had created a pentagram on my chest, as I see it glow as I look down on it. It looks amazing, I rail my head back up to meet her gaze as she smiles at me as I did the same. But another teenager wanted some paint done, so she turns and starts to ask them want they want.
I move back into the middle of the loft, as people began to jump up and down and rave about. I wasn't going to waste this moment, I began to dance energetically as I moved in sync with the music as teens began to come closer. I could feel their hearts pumping, I could feel the sweat that poured from them and from me.
Sometime had passed and it felt like forever I was dancing for but it wasn't long. I pass teens as they still were going, but as I made my way pass, I had bumped into someone as I wasn't looking where I was going. But as I railed my head up, I met eyes with no-other than Derek. His eyes wondered over mine until he had met my glowing pentagram, near enough on my breasts. But his gaze lowered more than to my chest, they had came to a stop a my breasts.
I began to go a bit warmer than it all ready is now. I adjusted my shoulders, as he snapped out of his trance before he snapped back up to meet my eyes. I stared at him but he clamps my wrist but he did it in a gentle way and pulled me along to the DJ who was still spinning those discs.
As we approached, the bouncer dude had saw us and pressed on Derek's chest to stop him from advancing as Derek let go of my wrist. "Bro, sorry, The Bloody Beetroot doesn't take requests," the bouncer states loud enough for us to hear. Derek didn't say anything and nodded to the bouncer before advancing. But the bouncer stopped him again. "Bro, seriously. I said the DJ doesn't take..." the bouncer was cut short as Derek grabbed him by the throat.
"He'll take mine," Derek replied smugly, as he throws the bouncer to the side. I just rolled my eyes at him, as Derek took a few steps forward smiling at the DJ like nothing was going to happen. But he suddenly flips the table where the set up was on and the music had cut off as everyone turned around and stared at Derek. A few teen gasp and looked shocked, but Derek didn't care.
"Get out!" Derek had yelled, his voice thundering around the room as it was really serious. Everyone looked at him for a moment, before they ran for their lives, running for every possible exit there was, but I stood there death glaring Derek as he ruined the fun. But I turned my back to watch them run.
As people were running away, dark masked figures stood still, not moving an inch. As they were waiting for something. I stared at them with no clue what they were. Scott and Kira had shown up from the stairs. Allison, Isaac and Ethan had joined the fun. Just then, Derek was by my side, in a stance of protective from these things.
"Guys, they're all looking at me," Aiden had spoke, as the figures were looking at him. They all took a step forward and it was like they were in sync or something. We all stood still just looking at the figures. "Why are they all looking at me?" Aiden had asked, but we didn't know. The shadowy figures took another step in sync, edging closer to Aiden, then again. "Guys?" Aiden sound scared at this moment in time.
Scott and Derek gave each other looks and with one quick swoop, Derek darted off in front to fight one and Scott had gotten the once closet to Aiden. They began to fight, but I dashed over to Kira who stood in front of a pillar. As I cast my gaze back to Derek, I see him growl and jump to the shadowy figure and using his hands to forcefully snap the figure's neck. I heard the snap, but the head began to fix itself back into place, using darkness to fix itself. Derek was thrown against a pillar and was down for now.
Scott continued to fight one, but the figure got the upper-hand and hit Scott in the shoulder, sending him backwards and across the floor. Isaac wanted to be the hero here and flicked his hand down to show his claws, but the figure cloeset to him, had put his hand to his chest and when he pulled it away, he was holding a sword. The shadowy figure began to do some sick sword waving moves, as darkness had seemed off the sword. But Isaac backed away, as he wasn't going to beat it with a sword.
The figures advanced on Aiden, and grabbed him. "Somebody do something," Allison states, but I don't think we could do something. As two figures held his arms, another one had came up to his face and used it's hand to reach the back of his head. I could see the Aiden's face glowed a light lime colour. We all watch intently, before the light dimmed and the figure swiped their finger down his neck just behind his ear. I could hear the sizzle of the skin for a moment as it burned. Aiden fell to the floor, as the figures had turned their gazes around to face Kira and I. Scott notices and quickly stands up, as he backs up to us. His eyes glowing red as he turns to face us before turning back around and growling at them.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see sunrise coming up, and entered the building through the window. Once it hit the figures, they all looked to the light, until they began to disappear, like they were never there. We all stood shocked as we didn't know what to think right now...
"What the hell were those things?" Scott had asked the burning question that were on everyone's mind. But no one answered him, because no one had any idea what they were...
