Chapter Three: Symbol? Or Logo?

A few days had passed and it was currently night, Scott and Stiles were going to a party that Stiles was invited too. So, they had their night sorted, a party is a party. One of them is bound to get lucky...

As I was in my pjs, ready to turn in for the night. I heard a soft knock bang on my door, I raise my eyebrow to wonder who it was at this hour. I listened very carefully, to hear two heartbeats. As I approached the door, ready to attack if needed, I swung it open but sighed at the sight of two of my friends.

"Allison, Lydia, what are you doing here?" I asked, my eyebrow raised at them both.

"We need to show you something," Allison spoke, as she held her arm out, as did Lydia, both side to side. Their were bruises on both of their arms, but it seemed like a pattern.

I gently took their arms in my hand, as I stared at the symbol of some kind. "It's some sort of symbol," I state to them both, my eyes meeting back with their gaze.

"Have you seen it before?" Lydia had asked, making shake my head at her.

"I'll see if I can find anything in the books, but for now go to Scott, he's at a party," I state to them both as they both nodded, and smiled at me, before turning to leave. I watch them get into Allison's car and drive away from my house. They are getting more deeper into the supernatural world, and there was no way to stop them from that, but there are ways for me to try to protect them.

It's going to be an all nighter...

.....................................................

School had arrived, and I went in empty handed, I couldn't find anything within my books that had a sort of symbol that were bruised on Lydia and Allison's arm. So, we were out of luck there.

Scott, Stiles, Allison, Lydia, Derek and I, all stood in an empty class room. Stiles and I sat in a desk next to one another, as Lydia and Allison stood, showing their bruised arms to Derek and Scott.

"I don't see anything," Derek spoke, as his arms crossed over his chest. His eyes casting to Scott.

"Look again," Scott states, wanting Derek to believe that they were helping and it was some sort of symbol of sorts.

"How is a bruise gonna tell me where Boyd and Erica are?" Derek replied his arms still folded and his eyes casting from the girls.

"It's the same on both sides," Scott announced, either Derek couldn't see the pattern or he didn't want to see it. "Exactly the same,"

"It's nothing," Derek quickly replied to Scott, not even looking at him, his eyes were trained on Allison.

"Pareidolia. Seeing patterns that aren't there," Lydia had graced us with her knowledge, making us all look at one another with a shrug. "It's a subset of apophenia,"

"They're trying to help," Scott tried to use his whisper voice, but it didn't go so quietly, as everyone in the room heard him. Derek looked at Scott for a few seconds his expression, clearly didn't believe that.

"These two?" He nodded to Allison and Lydia. "This one," he unfolds one arm to point at Lydia. "Who used me to resurrect my psychotic uncle. Thank you," Derek's tone was laced with sarcasm. "And this one," he now looked at Allison. "who shot about thirty arrows into me and my pack,"

"Okay, all right, now, come one," Stiles butted in, trying to ease the tension between Derek and Allison. "No one died, all right? Look, there may have been a little maiming, okay, a little mangling, but no death. That's what I call an important distinction," Stiles states, making me roll my eyes as he tried to defuse the tension.

"My mother died," Allison spoke right after Stiles had finished, her eyes darkening slightly at Derek.

"Your family's little honour code killed your mother... Not me," Derek replied to Allison, as she was blaming Derek for killing her, but it wasn't true. Their code killed her, not Derek, and I stand by that.

"That girl was looking for Scott, I'm here to help him, not you," Allison spoke, as she made it very clear she was doing this to help Scott.

"You wanna help?" Derek began, his eyes locked on Allison. "Find something real," I think what Allison has found is something real, if it wasn't she wouldn't have bright it to light.

Derek walks away for the door near him, Scott had went over to stop him, to try and convince him that they are both trying to help us. But we all had class to get too, and I was hoping that the day will go fast.

..................................................................

A full lesson went by and it so dragged on, I could literally could hear everyone's heartbeat within the class and it was so off putting. However, I had a free period and I agreed to help Allison search for some symbols in the library.

Allison and I sat next to one another as Lydia sat opposite my chair. Allison was drawing out her half of the symbol on a line piece of paper and I was watching her draw it. Books were scattered on the table, but Lydia was doing her own things, mostly staring at something.

"I want one," she finally pipped up making me look at her for a brief second before turning around to see what she was looking at and it was the Twins boys.

"Which one?" Allison states in a whispered tone, with a smile on her face as I turned back around to face Lydia who held a coffee cup in her hand.

"The straight one, obviously," she pointed a little, being a sassy queen she is. I couldn't help but chuckle softly at Lydia as she took a swing of her coffee. Before placing it back down, and leaning back in her chair like she was ready to prance on her prey.

However, out of the corner of my eye, I see Allison stare at Lydia's coffee cup for a moment and she takes it in her hand, looking over the logo printed on the white cup, making my gaze turn to her. "What if it's not a symbol? What if it's actually a logo?" She states, as she looks up at me, but then to Lydia but she was gone. We both turn around to see Lydia talking to one of the twins, putting her number into his phone.

At least something was going right. I turn back around to look at the laptop screen to see Allison typing in 'Beacon Hills business logo's'' Into the search bar, then pressed the enter key.

I look down at my phone to see the time, and I was suppose to meet Stiles and Scott after their class had finished and that was now. "I have to go meet Scott and Stiles, text me what you find," I state to Allison who just gave me a nod of the head, but she didn't look at me as she was busy looking at the logo's.

I grab my phone and began to walk pass Lydia and one of the twins. But as I walked passed him, a sense of darkness loomed over him, like troubled followed him around. But I shook my head as I passed them, thinking it's just a girl thing that ever girl has when their friends meet new guys and they want to date.

I entered the busy hallways of the school, searching for Stiles and Scott. I turn around a sharp corner to see the back of the boy's heads. Both very distinctive head features...

I made my way through the students and caught up to them in no time. "Then we need Isaac to remember," I had heard the back end of their conversation.

"How? Peter and Derek couldn't do it. You know any other werewolves with a better trick?" Stiles had said, but it made Scott stop in his tracks thinking, making me stop next to Scott but he was deep in thought. Stiles had noticed me and I gave him a smile as I let Scott carry on thinking.

"Maybe not a werewolf," Scott had said, his head turned slowly to look at me, with a sweet smile on his face.

"You want me to dig around in his memories?" I asked Scott with a raised eyebrow, wondering if it was a good idea.

"Can you do that?" Stiles had asked, slightly believing my power right now.

"Not alone. We need someone who knows a lot about werewolves," I replied, my eyes cocking between Scott and Stiles.

"Deaton," Scott had said, as I gave him a firm nod of the head. Though what they asked wasn't impossible for me to do, it would require a lot of energy to perform the spell and have access to his mind. But I was surly confident in the matter...
