Chapter Thirty-Four: Jail Bird

It's been awhile since we had been cuffed to this bench, but we stayed here as we couldn't just run from the cops.

"I could easily get out of these, you know," Derek's voice had came into play, as I snapped back to reality as I see him staring at the cuff on his left wrist.

"So could I. But I'm not interested in being a fugitive from the law," Chris had replied, as he didn't want to be the most wanted in Beacon Hills right now.

"Well, I'm not interested in being a victim to a Seventeen-year-old possessed by a psychotic fox," Derek replied bluntly, as this wasn't going to end well.

"Just give me a few more minutes," Chris had replied, his eyes locked on to Derek, who didn't want to wait, and I see him ready to break the cuffs off.

"Derek," My voice was stern and meaningful as he knew that doing this would just create more trouble for us.

He sighs deeply, as he listened to me. "Okay, fine. If something happens, don't expect me to risk my life trying to save both of yours," Derek's words kind of hurt me, but I couldn't tell if he was acting tough because Chris was here and he didn't want to show that he cared or that he was just lying...

It made me turn sour towards him, and I didn't look, I even moved a bit closer to Chris. I stared out to the desks as I didn't pay attention. Did all those times I saved him, or helped him out with his problems, didn't mean anything to him. Us kissing didn't mean anything to him? I found that hard to believe.

I was pulled back to the room, to see an officer on a phone, but his expression had turned worried and his complexion gone white. Suddenly, he slams the phone down, and he ran, and all the officers were in a panic and rushing throughout the station, chattering among each other. As Derek, Chris and I all sat there wondering what was happening, but it made us all go on edge.

Derek had took his worried gaze to Chris as I flickered my eyes to both of them. Just then, rushed footsteps ran towards us, an officer knelt beside Chris and started to uncuff him.

"What's happening?" Chris had rushed out, but the officer didn't respond to his question as he looked panicked. He rushes to the middle section, and started to uncuff mine restraints and Chris's as it was only one cuff. His hands fumbled with the keys as time wasn't on his side or something. He looked up to me, his eyes connecting to mine as they held fear...

"What's happening?" Chris had asked Derek, who was in his own world, figuring what was happening, listening in on something. I had focused my own hearing, and listened in, a faint buzzing sound came to ear, but it began to grow louder and it was coming from behind. I took my gaze to the Sheriff's office behind as Derek was already looking behind. I look to a package on the desk, the square one and that's where the buzzing noise was coming from.

Derek turned to face me for a moment his eyes full of worry and fear of the outcome. "Get down!" It happened so fast, he pushed the officer away, and grabbed me on the shoulder and grabbed Chris at the same time, pushing us down to the floor, his body acting as a shield for us, as an explosion rang out through the station. I hear windows smashed, things flying everywhere and a rush of fresh blood coming to my nostrils all of it mixing together to make one strong smell...

Moments went by, as I peel one eye up to see that dusk was on us, things were getting dark now. A ringing sound was present in my ears as I couldn't hear a thing. Both my eyes open to see chaos and destruction around me. The station was a mess, as it was damaged, and I could smell things burnt. As I try to push myself of the ground, I groaned in pain. I took my gaze to the side of my body to see a large wooden piece stuck inside of me. My grey shirt was already stained with wet blood, as it continued to leak from my side.

I managed to lay on my back, as I could feel shards of glass around me and wooden objects. I let out a little scream of agony as the end had been moved slightly as I went on my back. Chris was on his feet, as he looks at me, but Derek was at the side of me, looking weak.

"Alice, Derek," Chris states, his tone worried, but Derek looked like he was going to fall. Chris grabs his arms to keep him steady.

"I'm okay," Derek replied, as he breathed heavily, as he was hurt.

"You saved our lives," Chris replies, as he did. He protected us from the blast, I knew his hard wasn't that cold.

"Alice," his eyes dropped down to meet my hurt body, as this wooden piece was lodged into me. Chris carefully places him onto the bench that we were on, so he could catch his breath back. Chris crouches down to my level, to meet the large wooden piece stuck in my right side.

"Pull it out," I said calmly to him, as once it was out it would heal.

"If I pull it out you'll bleed to death," Chris had replied, as he was unsure of it right now.

"I won't," I snapped back at him, as it was hurting badly when I tried to breath. Chris didn't know what to think right now, but he obeyed and grabbed the piece of wood in the middle. But as he touched it, I groaned as pain twinged up my side. But his eyes met mine, as I nodded to him as I was breathing heavily. He took it as a go and suddenly pulls the piece of wood out of my side as it was a decent size in, soaked with blood. He drops the wood to the floor and places his palm over the wound. But I could feel my skin tightening around the wound, stitching it back together.

I let of a big sigh as it was a huge relief to get it out. "You'll be ok, an ambulance is on it's way," Chris had assured my as he continued to put press on the - now none existence wound. But I didn't say anything to him, but he lifted his hand up to look how the wound was doing. I see his eyes light up in shock and amazement. "You healed?" His tone sounded shocked as he met my gaze.

"Witch for ya," I had lied through my teeth, as he just titled his head in confusion. He didn't really understand it, nor did anyone else for that matter. But he helped me stand to my feet, as I took in the appearance of Derek, he looked to be in pain. But so was everyone else in this station. I came to crouch in front of Derek, his eyes weary as he looked like he was going to pass out. "Derek, I need you to prepare yourself," I told him with an urge, but he nodded his head weakly. Though this was going to be risky, and he could die, but I had too.

"What are you going to do?" Chris had asked, making me shoot my gaze behind to look at him.

"I'll be back later," I just replied to Chris, as I took Derek's hands in mine as I was still crouched. I took a deep breath, as I focused and felt my magic course through my veins...

My eyes blurred, like I was had ran at vamp-sped, but I didn't and it only last a split-second. My eyes cleared and I was in my living room, crouched in-front of the couch and Derek was sat on it. I let go of Derek's hands, as I stood. I felt a trickle run down my nose, but I quickly wipe the blood away. Teleportation spells were always draining...

I walked through the living room to find my cabinet I had. It held all my Witch ingredients in, it was tall and wooden. I open the glass door, and rumbled through the shelves, looking for a bundle of herb that would make him more wake up a bit. A few shelves down, I found it, it was wrapped in an elastic-band. I retrieved the bundle and headed back over to Derek, who was now leaning back, in and out of consciousness.

I came back in front of him, and stared at the bundle of herbs as it set aflame at the top, before it went out. It produced some smoke that emitted off the end. I hovered over Derek, and waved it under his nostrils, as he took oxygen, and the smoke in. After a moment, he jolted awake, his eyes snapping open as I pulled back the bundle of herbs. I sighed as he looks at me weirdly with this bundle of herbs in my hand.

"To keep you from falling asleep, sort of a pick me up drug," I smirked at him, as he just nodded, not truly understanding what I had just done. I walked off into the kitchen, grabbing a glass bowel and a towel. On my way back, I went back to the cabinet, and gotten some plan silver-tweezers. I came back to the couch and put the bowel down onto the table inches from the couch. "I'm gonna remove those glass shards," he nods, as he turns, but it hurt him as he did. His back was face to me, and it was bloody and large pieces of glass was lodged in his back.

This was going to take a bit....

................................................

About Twenty-Five minutes later, and Derek had stopped squirming. I had gotten the last piece out, and I placed it in the bowel. I had wet the towel and dried around the wounds, which were all healing as I took them out. "Done," I said to him as he let's out a big sigh, relieved it was over. "Your welcome by the way,"

"Thank you," he replied, his voice genuine. As I smiled at him, as I picked up the glass bowel with the blood-stained glass shards, and tweezers that was in as well. I made my way through the hallway and into the kitchen, just placing it onto the counter, as I made my way back into the living room.

As I stepped back in, I see Derek, trying but failing to take his shirt off as it was stained and ripped at the back. "Here," I chuckled, as I came to stand in front of him and helped him take it off. The top was over his head and off, his body was amazing to look at, just even sitting down. It was like a temple. I crouched in front of his, his gaze upon me.

"I'm glad your ok," I state to Derek, placing my hand upon his. My eyes were soft to his, and his own were also soft. He place his over hand on top of mine, our eyes locked on one another.

"Thank you for taking care of me," Derek's voice was soft and caring. But his eyes had pulled me in, they had flicked to my lips for a moment, before meeting my ocean blue eyes. Without warning, Derek had leaned down and placed his lips upon mine. We began to kiss, deeply, passionately and it felt amazing. His arms went lower to my ass, and grabbed and jolted me up into his arms. I know where this was going, he lowers me down, and I straddle him.

Our mouths moved in sync until we leaned back to stare at one another in the eyes. There was lust, desire, but most of all. There was passion and the fireworks that went off in my stomach. My hands rested behind his head, his skin hot as I could feel it on my arms.

"We don't have time. We need to go back, we are still suspects," I state to him, as but he doesn't say a word, he just looks right into my eyes. He brings his hand up to the side of my face, removing a loose strand of blonde hair.

"I know, but let me enjoy this moment," he replied softly, as he moves the strand of hair behind my right ear. But I leaned into his hand, as he held the back of my head. I looked at him with a loving gaze. I hadn't had this sort of feelings since the 19th century.

"Come on," I spoke after a moment, as he sighs and remove his hand slowly from the side of my head. "Plus, get your shirt back on, we can't look like we left," he groans loudly, as I peel myself off of him and stands and throws his shirt off, as he attempts to put it back on...

Was I falling for this wolf, was I catching more feelings with each passing day? But this secret inside will eat me up until I tell him? But when will that be?
