Chapter Thirty-Eight: Mind Link
I had arrived at Scott's house, I didn't knock, I just entered as we just didn't have time right now. I look to the couch to see Void Stiles - that's going to be his nickname now - sitting up-right with duct-tape covered his mouth, but he didn't move like he was paralysed. His eyes travelled over to me as he noticed, but he smirks to himself, and it just sends a shiver down my back. I move pass him and into the kitchen to see Deaton, Lydia and Scott talking to one another.
"I've never done this before. I mean, what if I bite him and accidentally hit an artery or something?" I hear Scott say as I was neared them, but they hadn't noticed yet.
"I don't think your that unlucky," I replied, trying to lighten the mood as I came to stand next to Scott as they're eyes came to meet mine, as they looked all relieved to see me.
"Thank God you made it," Scott states, kind of thrilled to see me right now.
"The venom is not going to last long. Something needs to be done sooner than later," Deaton states in a hush tone as I was right there was Kanima venom in Void Stiles.
"Do you want me to bind him?" I had asked the group, as their eyes cast to mine as their expressions held confusion. "Do you have any salt?" I had asked, cocking my eyebrow up at Scott as it was his house.
"There's some in the cupboard," Scott points to the cupboard below the sink, as I went over. "I can try calling Derek again," Scott went on as I crouch down and opened the cupboard and saw a tall bottle of salt, which was labelled table salt. This would do finely. I grab it as Lydia had spoken something to Scott, instead of calling Derek that we would call someone else.
Peter...
But I let him call him as we had no idea to get Stiles back and we were losing hope right now. Scott explained the whole situation to Peter and he was on his way. I stop crouching and stood back up, closing the door. I walk into the living room, Deaton, Scott and Lydia hot on my tail.
"What are you going to do with salt?" Lydia asks, as her tone held a bit of humour in it.
"It's going to be a binding agent for a spell," I replied, as I open the cap, and started to pour it gentle around the couch as I was going to make a full circle. "It's going to be a boundary spell, it will trap him in the salt line, and he will not be able to pass it. And we won't be able to enter," I said, as I had come full circle around the couch, as the salt had connected, literally an inch away from Stiles feet. I close the cap, and handed it to Scott, as I turn back around to the salt. I took a deep breath, as I held my hands out to the salt. "Phasmatos veras nos ex malom vis porta," I could feel the magic course through my veins and the Boundary spell was set. I lower my hands and turned back to face the gang, now Melissa had joined.
"Is that it?" Lydia had asked, clearly not impressed. I raised an eyebrow at her giving her a 'what' look. "I mean there wasn't any flickering lights. No wind gushing," I rolled my eyes at her, but I put my hand behind, and I had hit like a wall type thing, and my hand was flat against it as I could feel it. Her eyes widened in surprise as she sees it worked.
"Never doubt my skills Lydia," I had replied in a serious but joke tone as she just laughs slightly. I lower my hand, and sighs. "So, the spell is up, and is that ass-Peter on his way," I had spoken, but the gang could't get a word in as the doorbell rang. "Speak of the devil and he shall appear," I state to the group as I see Melissa smirk to herself, as Scott went to open the door.
Peter enters and goes into the living room, staring at Stiles from the back of the couch. As he began to make his way around the couch, near the salt line too. "He doesn't look like he would survive a slap across the face, much less the bite of a werewolf," Peter stops in front of Void Stiles as lent over to stare in him in the eyes, as Stiles just stared right back him. But Peter was so close to the salt, be so funny if he walks into it.
"You don't think it would work?" Scott had asked as he needed to know.
"This is more a war of the mind than the body. There are better methods to winning this battle," Peter states as he stops leaning as I stood next to Lydia, and Melissa stood to the right of her.
"What kind of methods?" Deaton had asked, as he unfolded his arms and came forward. Peter grabs Scott's wrist and flicks his hand out and his claws had popped out.
"We're going to get into his head," Peter had replied as this could be dangerous for Scott. If he does it wrong, it could end in death or even worse. Peter lets go of Scott wrist and looks to Stiles once again, who just gives him a blank stare. "Can I ask why there's salt on the floor," he wonders as his eyes glance to the salt. I so don't want to tell him why it's there, I just want him to walk into it.
"It's a spell Alice did, to keep him contained," Scott had replied, as Peter instantly took a step back.
"It's not wolf repellent," I said to Peter, but he just turns his head over his shoulder to look at me and cocked his eyebrows up at me for a moment. Now I want him to walk straight into it...
I shook my hand at him as Scott turns around to face me, as a question was about to come. "Can you remove the spell?"
"I could but I rather change the spell around, to allow us in and not allow Stiles out," I replied back to Scott's question as his expression changed to a disbelieved one.
"Can you do that?" His tone full of disbelieve, but they should have learnt by now, that I can do anything. Well near enough...
"Remind me when this is all over, to give you all a lesson on Witchcraft," I smiled as I teased him, as I pass Scott and Peter. I kneel on the floor, in front of the salt line. I hover my hands flat out on the barrier, but not pressed on just hovering there. I hear Lydia's heels click against the wooden floor and heavy foot-steps. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Lydia and Peter talking to one another, though I thought it was strange, I didn't listen. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, and cleared my head.
I chanted a spell under my breath, as I could feel the magic working. The boundary spell was changing it's purpose of sorts, allowing us in but not allowing Stiles out.
"Is the Witch done?" I had heard Peter say. Luckily, I had finished the spell as I open my eyes to see him behind Stiles, but not in the salt line.
"I have a name," I replied smugly as I stood to my feet. "It's done," I said as Peter looked wearily for a moment, before taking a step in the salt line seeing it was done. "What's the plan?" I had asked Peter.
"Scott is going to try and dig through pale and sickly evil Stiles's mind to unearth pale and sickly real Stiles. Then guide him back from the depths of his own subconscious," Peter states as he takes a few glances to Stiles and to the rest of us who was standing in front. "But he's not going to do it alone,"
"What do you mean?" Scott had asked, his face full of confusion. Which was kind of adorable...
"Somebody needs to go in with you," His gazed went to the right of him and Lydia was standing there. Everyone took their gaze to Lydia as she was shocked to hear that.
"No," I had said firmly, as this wasn't going to happen. Things can go wrong and Lydia being caught up in it wasn't going to be on the table.
"Alice, please. I wanna help Stiles, and if this is the only way," Lydia had pleaded with me as she came forward, taking my hands in hers, as her eyes said it all. She did really want to help and I couldn't stop her.
"Then, I'll go in with you," I said to them, but I hear a deep chuckle sound coming from behind Lydia.
"He has only two hands," Peter had remarked as his deep chuckle had came to an end.
"I'm a Witch, there's a spell," I replied, as Peter just took in the information in. "I'm coming end of," I was forceful with them, as they obeyed. Lydia had went over to the couch and sat at the end, Scott had went behind as Peter was showing him how to do this.
Before I could sit down, Deaton had grabbed my arm and pulled me to the side, gently though. "Using this much magic will make you weak, and if pushed to the extreme will kill you" he states, his voice full of concern for my well-being.
"I know, but it's all we have right now, and I'm not letting them get lost inside Stiles's head if something goes wrong," I clapped back at him as I freed my arm softly. "I'll be fine," I gave him an encouraging look before going back over to the couch, stepping over the salt line and placed myself in-between Stiles and Lydia.
"You're going to have to guide him out somehow," Peter began, finishing placing Scott's hand at the back of Stiles. "Trying to give him back control of his mind, his body " Peter uses Scott's over hand to place at the back of Lydia's neck.
"Could you elaborate on the 'somehow'? It's not feeling very specific at the moment," Lydia had state her concern as we had no idea how to give Stiles his body and his mind back.
"Improvise," Peter had replied, with that gave us no hope at all.
"What if this is just another trick?" Scott had said, as maybe this what Void Stiles wanted, us getting trapped inside his head or something.
"When are you people going to start trusting me?" Peter had said, as he thought Scott was talking about him. I glance over my shoulder to look at him, and shook my head.
"I think he meant Stiles, love," I remarked as I held a smile back, as I found it funny, as he thought everything revolved around him.
"Scott, we're running out of time," Deaton expression his stress of time on this situation. I took a another deep breath, and held my hand out to Lydia, who interlocks her fingers with mine, as we held hands. I look to Stiles who just looked Void and slipped my hand up his and interlocked.
"Phasmatos Pontem Praesidio, anchora immortalibus. Per menta mi heava cor anmina," I had chanted the spells, as I felt the magic working. "Now Scott," I had stated quickly, as he plunges his claws into the back of the necks of Stiles and Lydia.
My eyes fluttered shut as darkness had crept into my vision, and it was in and out of eye shot. But it took me in fully, and I shut my eyes...
I reopened them a moment later. To find myself strapped down to a chair, facing two beds. Which held Scott and Lydia...
