Chapter Eight: Sacrifice 4
Stiles had the pleasure of telling Scott what happened to the two bodies within the hospital and what he think they are. Human sacrifices. But I think Scott was having a hard time believing that they were. But I believed Stiles, that they were Human sacrifices but I didn't know what they were doing it for.
Luckily, Scott and Derek had stopped Boyd and Cora, but Derek was the human shield between them and gotten beaten up pretty badly with all the blood. But, he would heal and recover from his injuries. I did feel bad for him, but he chose to do it, he chose to protect them from each other...
Today was cross country for the whole gym class, I didn't see the point in this, personally. But I had to go along with it either way, I could beat them all, even Scott and Isaac. Though cross country was done in the woods somewhere, that we had to drive to get there on the school bus and little flags were stuck in the ground so we all know what route too take.
I pulled my leg up to my back as I stretch it out. I held the pose for five seconds, before swapping to the other leg, as I see Isaac bent over tying his shoe laces. Just then, the twins, Ethan and Aiden, standing at each side of Isaac. I paid no mind in it, as I dropped my leg.
Suddenly, the blow of the whistle was ringing in my ears, as everyone set off, the twins in front. I ran normally, ask I kept my pace not wanting to out run anyone. I hear Coach say something, but I didn't listen. As we ran the path that has been flagged for us, I feel Isaac gaining, before he brushes pass me, going pass everyone else as he went well ahead just inches behind the twins. They cut a corner, and was lost to everyone's sights, but I had a bad feeling about why Isaac was chasing the twins.
I began to slow down in my running, people passing me, and as everyone ran past, I had came to a stop in the middle of the route. I quickly looked around to make sure no one was behind me or close. And with no one around, I pushed off in my legs and went into vamp-speed, using the bushes to cover me from sight.
I came to a stop to a slope, just in time to see one of the twins knock Isaac from the route and onto crushed leaves and twigs, rolling for a few seconds, before landing flat on his front, just in time for Ethan and Aiden to go over and grab Isaac's arms, keeping him from breaking away from them.
They jolted him upright, staring at one another, as I was a bit away, I was using my super hearing. "Ethan, I always forget, how many bones in the human body?" Aiden had asked his twin, looking down at Isaac, wondering which bone to break.
"I don't know. Let's count," Ethan spat through his teeth. He seemed angry at the situation of sorts. Well not today Satan...
"Ossox," I chanted under my breath, as Aiden's right leg had snapped in half, making him go down on one knee and out of no-where Scott had punch Ethan in the jaw, I could hear it break from here.
"That's one," I heard Scott state smugly, as Aiden growls under his breath, meaning that they were werewolves.
I rushed down the slope as Isaac had gotten out of the hold from them and stood up, as Ethan set his jaw back into place and Aiden, placed his broken leg bone back into place, healing fast. Aiden growls, and flickers his fingers down and his claws came out to play, as his eyes turned red. Isaac growled back, and now Ethan had joined in flashing his red eyes and big sharp teeth. Then Scott had growled at the two Alpha's, as I stood on the bank on the slope, looking at them.
They were ready to rip each others throats out, I quickly extended my hand out to the group. Suddenly, Aiden and Ethan began to grip their heads, as their wolf features faded back to their normal selves.
A loud pitching girl scream entered my ears distracting me from the spell, and the hold of the twins were gone as I shot my head round to the sound of the scream, as did everyone else.
Scott, Isaac and I shot off, finding the source of the scream. The whole group was surrounded near a tree, we brush pass a bushes and entered a slope type area and what we all saw, shocked us.
A guy was tied to a tree, dried blood had ran down his clothes, his throat slit, his whole face bloody. Though the blood was dried, I could smell it still. I stood next to Scott as he stood next to Stiles, but I was too in-gross with the body to notice anything else.
"It's him, isn't it?" Stiles had asked, Scott must have told him something before hand about a missing person, and now he's ended up dead and tied to a tree. I took a closer look at the body, and he had the same three injuries on him as the last three people. But there was still no sign of it being a sacrificial magic, I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a Witches doing. As I know what a Witch is capable of...
Awhile had passed, and Stiles father came rushing up the slope, to see the kid dead and tied to the tree. I was however down the slope away from the scene, as I couldn't be near that much blood without losing it a bit.
"You see the way the twins looked at him?" Isaac asked Scott and Stiles, as I was gazing off in the distance, my back to them.
"Yeah, you mean like they had no idea what happened?" Stiles had replied to Isaac's question and they did look surprised.
"No, no, they knew," Isaac carried, as their foot steps neared me.
"The kid was strangled with a garrote, all right? Am I the only one reconginzing the lack of werewolfitude in these murders?" Stiles had said, as they had came closer, so close to me that I felt them coming and heard their back end of their conversation. I turned to face the trio, as the stopped in front of me.
"Stiles is right, why would werewolves do all this?" I state as all eyes went onto me.
"You think it's a coincidence they turn up, and then people start dying?" Isaac states, fixed on the twins being the killers, but I didn't believe that nor did Stiles.
"Well, no, but I still don't think it's them," Stiles has spoken up as his warm whisky coloured eyes went to Isaac.
"Scott?" Isaac said, as he wanted Scott's back up on this, someone else to agree with him. Scott didn't want to be put in the middle, that's for sure. Stiles folded his arms as Scott didn't say anything. "How about you?" Isaac carried on, wanting Scott's thoughts in this.
"I don't know yet," Scott states, as his eyes faced forward like he was looking at me but he was looking through me.
"You don't know yet?" Stiles still had his arms crossed, not liking the answer Scott had given.
"Well, he's got a point," Scott began, as Stiles unfolded his arms and looked at Scott wildly. "Seriously, dude, human sacrifices?"
"Scott, your eyes turn into yellow glow sticks, okay? Hair literally grows from your checks, and then will immediately disappear, and if I were to stab you right now, it would just magically heal, but you're telling me you're having trouble grasping human sacrifices?" Stiles had said, very all handsy, waving his hands around.
"It's not crazy, Scott," I began as his eyes snapped to mine. "Human sacrifices have been know throughout history, and it's a form of magic," As I said this, their eyes lit up in shock slightly. "But these killings aren't sacrificial magic, there would be the whole wood work around the body. Like, runes, circles, animal bones, you name it. But it doesn't mean someone else is doing them," They looked kind of relieved when I said it all, but someone was still doing Human sacrifices.
Scott sighs deeply, knowing mine and Stiles points were true, turning to face Isaac."Both a good point, too,"
"I don't care, all right? They killed that kid. They killed the girl that saved me," Isaac states, as his eyes flickered between us all, before going over into the distance. "And I'm gonna kill them, too," That was the last thing Isaac had said, before walking away from us. This wasn't good, if he tries to take on two Alpha's he would surly lose. He knew deep down that it was possible for Human sacrifices, but he was angry about the twins...
