"I've never seen one of these before but if this is the type of weapon that the dwemer were attempting to manufacture it is imperative that we get whatever research they have on this because of this gets into the hand of the Dominion then we are screwed." Gentu spoke seriously carefully attaching the arquebus on his back for safe keeping as he led them up words towards the door only to be struck by shock magic coming directly from the door. Zed taking a look at the two watchtowers before swiftly rushing forward dodging and weaving around the shock attacks from the door rushing over to the tower on the right hand side before looking around picking up a dwemer dynamo core and looking seeing a dwarven actuator when he put the core inside of it it caused it to rumble before quickly rushing towards the tower on the other side assuming that he had to do it over there too once he did the same on the other end the door opened as he gestured for them to come as Gentu gave a proud and appreciative nod before putting his dwarven helmet back on and following close behind. They entered they realized that this place had been gotten into recently as there was a work bench and a grindstone on the one side of the room along with the bedrolls. As Gentu walked over to the table he found a piece of paper and began to read it

"Tirdas, first seed, 4th era 201. Day 20.
Marius has translated the dwarven scroll we found within the library. Our quartermaster is currently at work building the device Marius believes to have uncovered. One of our soldiers have dug up what might be in until now an undocumented type of dwarven automaton similar to the ballistas encountered in Solsthiem but black in coloration with a potent odor of sulfur. It's been carried up to the upper chamber of the ruin for study. -Legate Elias "

The group could visibly see and hear Gentu's irritated breathing at someone getting a chance to study such a thing before he could taking a deep breath he led them forward heading up the stairs being mindful of the blade trap in the middle of the floor as he walked up and opened the door from the lever at the top of the stairs it opened up to a large room with a large sphere in the middle with Jade like circles in it similar to the ones in Mzulft and Alftand. There were two more of those resonators that you have to shoot with a bow on either side of the contraption in the middle of the room as they went down to investigate closer. Walking over and wiping out the automatons that were getting in the way Gentu crouched taking an item out of the imperial captain's hand which look to be a dwarven staff except with a white colored gem in the middle.

After picking up the scepter like item Gentu set it on his side for a moment while he walked over and read the journal in order to get insight on what they had to do even though he already had a general idea it was always better to double check to avoid unwanted problems.

"If the library loses power again you will need to reroute to the steam flow back into the machine. Just like before if the actuators jam a well-placed arrow or spell will be enough to loosen them. Once steam is flowing to the machine you must place the crystal back into the armillary and refocus it using the tuning forks and the buttons until all three light beams line up with each mirror within the bowl. Take great care handling the tuning forks, these are the only two we have. -Marius Gaius."

Gentu read the journal before nodding bringing out his dwarven crossbow and firing to dwarven crossbow bolts at the two actuators on both sides of the machine causing steam to be rerouted into it as the cage that was covering the bowl lifted revealing the other 'tuning fork' and the focusing gem.

Before he could do anything though more dwarven automatons were deployed to stop them letting out a sigh of annoyance he turned his head before the five of them worked together to dispatch them. They worked together wiping out the dwarven spheres and dwarven spiders that were deployed once they were all taken care of Gentu put the primary and secondary tuning forks in his hands before using them like staffs to focus the crystals onto the bowl once the lights were in the appropriate place. Him and Zed in understanding silence pushed all three buttons one at a time until the mirrors were aligned with the lights. Once they were in their proper place the group of five had to quickly shield their eyes from the blinding light the emanated from the mirror as the sound of a door opening could be heard. Once the light had faded they continued forward passing a tree in this subterranean lost kingdom as they walked towards the door they found the library there were a few bodies littered around the ground and they could see what looked to be a dwarven centurion underneath the glass completely submerged up to its neck in oil from what it looked like. They looked around checking the bodies to see if they had anything useful on them looking around they saw the gates were hiding a bunch of scrolls and books behind them but it seemed like it needed a key to open. As they walked over they found the remains of the imperial Legate Elias and on his body was another Arquebus that looked modified which Gentu put in his bag accordingly he also found more of those iron balls that looked to be more explosive, he also found another excavation log which he picked up and started to read only to find it was completely covered in blood making it nearly unreadable although after a few moments he was able to make it out and read it out loud.

"Middas first seed 4th era 201. Day 21.
Our quartermaster finished forging the contraption from Marius's schematics what I first thought to be a crude iron pipe clamp to a stick the whole camp fell in silence myself included after Mary's gave a live demonstration he aimed at a deer in the distance and a single loud bang echoed across the valley louder than any sound I had ever heard before black smoke with a potent scent of sulfur covering over Marius, this may be the end of the rebellion at least and restore peace in Skyrim -Legate Elias "

Gentu finished reading carefully put the log back in his bag while looking over at who could only be Marius himself crouching down and checking to see if he had anything useful becoming pleasantly surprised seeing the ball schematic, the Arquebus schematic, more iron balls, a dwarven journal along with Marius's translated version as well as a few research notes which Gentu and Zed couldn't resist taking a peek at the research notes and the translated version of the journal starting with the research notes first.

"I can't believe I'm actually here, standing in the library of Thuncharnthumz! This is all too fascinating. I can't begin to imagine all the things I could learn here, all this knowledge long lost the time. We're no doubt the first people to set foot here in countless millenia."

As Zed finished reading it the two dwarven armored allies looked at each other even though the other three couldn't see their faces underneath their respective helmets they no doubt had big grins on their faces especially considering just how much of their lives have been dedicated to learning about the dwemer and they were standing in the middle of their library. Gentu opened up the translated journal and begin to read aloud so everyone could hear to those listening they could hear the excited tone in his voice.

On one of my many expeditions into the daedric room for study whether it be my luck expired or my hubris getting the better of me, I made contact with Clavicus Vile in his realm. I asked many questions and he had answers for everyone, my final question was the answer to everlasting life. He presented me an alchemical recipe in exchange for my gauntlets. Whether to serve as punishment for trespassing within his realm or a cruel joke on behalf of Clavicus I did not know. Once I returned back to my laboratory, I created the potion based on the alchemical recipe and it appears to be a great like a black powder. However, the moment any open flame touched the powder it spontaneously combusted leaving a strong sulfur like odor, straining my utensils back and blew off two of my fingers from my left hand. Prognosis-the alchemical recipe was in fact not what I was led to believe it was, however it may have other uses. Further research is needed. Karnthumek Master Crafter."

As the two exchanged nods with each other and putting their findings in Gentu's bag they continued looking through the bodies as Gentu continued going through Marius's bag finding nothing much other than miscellaneous gear but the most interesting of all was a control cube which Gentu carefully picked up in his hands and put it on the ground next to him and walking towards the small pillar which the control cube went to. "All right everyone get ready, once I put this control cube in the pedestal there's no telling what will happen so prepare yourselves." Gentu instructed as Lianya, Bowen, and Vladbram walked over with Gentu and Zed as Gentu put the control cube into the pedestal causing the dwarven mechanism to activate and turn before ejecting the cube which Gentu quickly stored in his bag almost immediately the ground started to shake as the glass dome in the middle of the room opened while a force field like dome activated while the dwarven centurion that was submerged in the oil rose up on a pedestal but stood there motionless but they didn't have time to understand why because more dwarven automatons were deployed. These ones were dwarven spheres except instead of their crossbow had Arquebuses mounted onto their arm instead as they quickly dispatched the library guardians one by one Gentu managed to slash off one of the dwarven arquebus guardians arms off and managed to finish off the rest of them with the help of the other four. However their break was short-lived as the force field around the dwarven centurion dissipated as the colossal dwarven automaton started walking towards them. "Gentu use the Arquebus that you picked up!" Zed yelled while he fired zephyr at the dwarven centurion to keep it busy while Lianya used Chillrend in order to try to freeze it to make it harder for it to move as Vladbram and Bowen began beating on it with their hammers just when it seemed like this thing was invincible the sound of a loud bang echoed throughout the ruin before the dwarven centurions head exploded as the machinery sputtered and clanked before falling backwards the four turning their heads to the source seeing Gentu holding the Arquebus just like a crossbow as smoke radiated from the barrel. "Okay this I like and I will most definitely be making a modification to my arm for one of these!" Gentu shouted out in glee mounting the weapon back in his bag before going through the library looting all the scrolls and books stuffing them into their bags quickly they also found two unusual staffs which Zed picked up while Lianya picked up a dwarven arquebus before tossing it over too Gentu who caught it in his arms and attached it on the inside of his bag along with a multitude of ancient dwemer books and scrolls including the dwarven arquebus schematic so he'd be able to forge them himself. Zed experimentally tried the one staff that he found as it summoned a dwarven aquibus sphere in front of them eyes widened under his dwarven mail helmet in surprise as they went up from the library on a lift they found another pedestal which Gentu put the control cube on opening the door revealing a few soul gems, a single dwarven dagger, and another Arquebus that he understood its name. 'Karnthumek's Verdict' and was immediately able to understand what it did. As they carefully made their way back the way they came making sure they didn't miss anything after a multitude of hours searching through the ruin and finding more hidden items. As they exited from where they entered they came face to face with a Thalmor Justicer Accompanied by one glass armored Thalmor who wielded one of the legendary weapons from Morrowind the warhammer skullcrusher

and a light elven armored Thalmor who had another one of the Lost weapons from Morrowind the mace called the light of day.

Behind the three seven more Thalmor blocked their way. "Excuse me i wish to thank you for finding this discovery for us now kindly hand them over before I have to take them." The Thalmor spoke in his arrogant manner which the group of five exchanged a look before Gentu walked over making it look like he was about to hand the Arquebus over before in one fluid movement bashed the high elf supremacist right in the face.
