chapter ninety three

(third person pov:)

The ingot in question that was now sitting in the palm of Asadelf's hand was a staggering reflective blue and purple that sparkled like the night sky.

Mythril was a very rare and valuable material I'm like other materials such as malachite or moonstone, this was much more potent to make items out of especially magic items, if one were to create for example an amulet out of mythril it would be at least three times as powerful as a normal amulet would be due to the materials natural magic properties and affinity with the arcane. "Shadow-step, do you mind if I take this? I might be able to do something with it." Asadelf asked as the Nightingale khajiit nodded "Go ahead, I have no idea what to do with this damn thing all I know is if the Dominion was so ecstatic about finding that it can't be good for us so by all means go crazy better it be in your hands than theirs." Shadow-step said as Asadelf pocketed it. "All right supply account how are we on provisions?" Ebon-shi asked as Myra spoke up laying the bought supplies on the table. "Okay we were able to get twelve iron ingots, six steel ingots, fourteen dwarven ingots, and thirteen moonstone ingots along with three ebony ingots in terms of smithing items. As for alchemy we were able to get a plethora of different items although we bought out the entire stock I had a feeling they were withholding some but oh well, as for food they weren't selling any however we were able to get some salt, butter, garlic, and leeks." Myra reported as the entirety of the group nodded aside from Suvvan who to nobody's surprise was too busy stuffing cheese down his throat. "All right so it appears we will need to acquire some more substantial food source while we're on the open water." Ebon-shi said putting his finger to his chin thinking as gila was already breaking into her backpack and pulling out three distinctly different fishing rods, one being a standard fishing rod, the other being a alik'r fishing rod, and the last one being a argonian fishing rod. "You just leave that to me boss, I'll catch us a big one before Suvvan can say cheese wheel!" Gila said excitedly before making use of the fishing pole mounts on the mast of the ship while also throwing over a large fishing net over the back to allow them to catch fish passively as they were sailing. Meanwhile as the group went inside the ship Asadelf had requested that Gentu enhance the armor they found in North watch keep for her along with the mace they picked up however as for the mythril ingot she already cut out a brief design for a earpiece and even laid the schematic on the table for Gentu and Yamma. "Do you guys think you can do it?" Asadelf asked worried that she might be asking too much of them stepping so far out of there usual comfort zone making an ear accessory contrary to rings, necklaces, and circlets. "Asadelf, while I must confess we have never worked with this material before we will do our absolute best." Yamma reassured does he have to work cutting the ingot and forging it into the proper shape meanwhile Gentu masterfully using the moonstone and ebony ingots worked on enhancing the armor and mace respectively until they were of the highest quality possible. It wasn't long before Yamma and Gentu presented Asadelf with the complete enhanced armor and mace along with the earpiece she requested but not just to the earpiece but also a circlet, necklace, and ring made from the same ingot of mythril. "My, we have all said at once and we will all say it a thousand times more, the two of you are the best smiths tamriel has ever seen I dare say." Asadelf complimented with a warm smile as she carefully took the items carrying them around the corner into the enchanting and alchemy area as she placed each of the items at the enchanting table she laid each item down respectively in the exclusive order she was going to enchant them with. She started with the diadem, amulet and ring and the earpiece first primarily using fortify destruction and alteration on the four giving her one hundred percent reduction to destruction and alteration usage allowing her to use these types of magic exclusively with zero cooldown. Meanwhile on the cowl she enchanted it with fortify Magicka and Magicka Regen to allow her to recover her magic much faster so if she ended up using the gate spell again she wouldn't have to recharge for as long. Now came to the gauntlets, boots, and armor, on the armor she enchanted fortify heavy armor and Magicka regeneration,

on the gauntlets she enchanted with fortify one hand and fortify Magicka,

and on the boots she enchanted with fortified carry rate and stamina regeneration

however as for the mace, she had a special combination in mind for it. She enchanted the mace with a deadly combination of a chaos enchantment along with a soul trap enchantment and even when as far as to name it, 'basilisk' after the mythical serpent said to be able to petrify anyone with just a glance.

She had named it that specifically because it would be the devourer of her enemies, the Dominion. First it would paralyze them rendering them helpless, then devour their souls once they were killed as she poured all of her hatred for the Dominion into its enchantment. Be carefully unloaded her previous armor before changing into her new armor which she had decided to rename despite it being originally her hand armor, she decided to dub it 'the visage of the battlemage' once she put her armor on she immediately felt the enchantments taking effect as she took a deep breath feeling the rush of magic swiftly pouring into her thanks to the mythril items she now possessed.

(Minus the helmet)

After a Little while a sudden commotion on Deck caught the group's attention from their respective individual activities which caught their attention as they ran up to the deck revealing gila aggressively juggling between the three fishing rods along with hoisting the fishing net from the stern of the ship. "Give me a hand one of you each take one of the fishing rods meanwhile I need some of the strong ones to help me pull this net up!" Gila yelled out as Shadow-step, Severin, and Myra took care of the fishing rods while Yamma, Suvvan and Tully helped Gila pull the fishing net up on the pulley. Once the large fishing net exited the water the net was filled with all sorts of sea life ranging from cod, slaughterfish and angelfish, all the way up to groupers and other large sea life but by far the most promising haul was the surplus of mud crabs and even lobsters and clams. "Oh boy we are eating like kings tonight!" Yamma cried out as the members all cheered. "Sabrina is there anywhere we can store these in water as a renewable food source?" Gila asked as Sabrina shakes her head as she stands upon the helm navigating her way East along the Sea of ghosts. Once they got the crustaceans on board Gila carefully relocated them into a large crate that was reinforced with plastic to hold water however made sure to fill it up with some of the seawater to keep them moisturized. Once the group's dinner was caught gila with the help of Tully and Yamma carried the crate of seafood into the ship's galley where she could effectively start cooking their meal meanwhile the rest of the group stayed up on deck and enjoyed the beautiful evening sky and the sight of the sunset going down over the horizon. "This is a beautiful sight, we're moving around so much that I guess it's easy to forget the seemingly insignificant everyday things." Myra said looking up at the beautiful sunset taking in the gentle hues of the sky the gorgeous mix of orange purple blue and a little gold in there all leading up to a beautiful sunset and the way it reflected off the icy water.

"Yes I agree, it's an easy thing to do, when you're living life on the edge and any movement can be your last you're more focused on survival than the seemingly insignificant things, but in reality it is those things that are most precious, the things we take for granted are the things we end up missing the most. We are truly blessed by Stendarr's Mercy to have lived as long as we have in order to see this beautiful sight, I am grateful." Bowen spoke in a reverent tone as Erin bowed his head in reverence as well as a knight of the nine. As they sail across the sea of ghosts they enjoy the peace and tranquility of the sound of the waves crashing against the hull of the ship and the beautiful night sky. The smell of the beautiful sea was intermingled by the smell of Gila's masterful cooking as she brought out large trays courtesy of Yamma, Tully, and Myra. On the plates were multiple different seafood dishes ranging from clam chowder, to shrimp and crab stew and fried crab legs with of course large tub of cheese for the resident cheese lover. "Come and get it everyone, food's hot and delicious so eat hearty!" Gila said with a smile as she placed the trays on one of the benches on the deck of the ship. Ebon-shi walked over picking up a plate of shrimp and crab stew with a bowl of clam chowder and some crab legs and brought it up to the helm for Sabrina this way she could eat while she was still steering the ship. "Thanks boss." Sabrina said as he shakes his head. "Not a problem, just because you are navigating that does not mean that you don't eat, you need to eat." Ebon-shi said pulling up one of the barrels next to Sabrina for her to put her plate on so she could eat while she steered as she continued steering the vessel. "All right, how are our provisions? And how long can we stay on the move before we need to restock on supplies?" Ebon-shi asked as he crossed his arms while he ate before Myra spoke up. "Well Gila clearly has provisions covered and I have no doubt that she's planning on making more of her traveling rations before we make landfall in Solstheim, however if you are talking more material supplies then we shouldn't need to stop unless we run into trouble I'm sorry I don't know more than that, I don't know how far Solstheim is because I've never been off of Skyrim." Myra said with an almost ashamed tone before Ebon-shi had a familiar smile on his face that Asadelf spotted as her own face turned amused. "What's with that smile on your face? You have good memories of that place?" Asadelf asked as she ate her shrimp and crab stew.
"Yes as a matter of fact I do, I was born in Morrowind, but when house Redoren took control of Solstheim my father who was a Redoran guard went to Solstheim with me when I was very little, one day he met my mother who was a Morag tong assassin apparently she was an outcast from her own clan so she and my father hit it off, I don't know the specifics of their relationship but from what I was able to see it was genuine. My mother tended to the Temple of the three good daedra of Morrowind Azura, Boaithia, and Mephala. As a Morag tongue assassin my mother was a devout follower of Mephala and after a little while they had my sister well, half sister but I still considered her my sister." Ebon-shi said is he finished his food before taking his dishes and putting them in the barrel full of water to be washed later. "Wow Boss, it sounds like your sister is lucky to have a brother like you, what is she like is she anything like you?" Gila asked as she sucked out the last bit of meat from her crab leg that was in her hand. "Elin-shi, she's a unique case, I guess you could say me and her set on two different paths, while I started on a path as the champion of the three daedra, she chose to follow the cultists of the tribunal." Ebon-shi said as Gentu spoke up. "Oh yes I've heard of the tribunal before, Almelexia, Vive, and Soltha sil, if I remember right they came into power during the second era during the days of the corprus made by the leader of the House of Dagoth, Dagoth Ur?" Gentu asked as Ebon-shi nods. "Not quite you got the name of the tribunal and the fourth one right, however they came to power long before that the event you're referring to is when they lost their power. When the heart of lorkon was destroyed by the nereverine in the event you're referring to, that was when Dagoth Ur fell in the tribunal lost their power when he used the dwarven artifacts you hold right now Gentu, Sundar, Keening, and Wraithguard." Ebon-shi continued before being cut off by Sabrina yelling from the helm. "All hands on deck, we have three vessels approaching us from the port stern, looks like we have pirates!"
