As the man stumbled closer to the car he changed his gaze to lock on mine.

His frown quickly turned into a disgusting smirk, yellow teeth showing.

His path redirected to my side of the car, me being immobile i could only sit and wait for what's to come.

Shane realized that his father seemed to find something more interesting, but sadly for him it was the last person he wanted dragged into this.

The drunk man stumbled closer to her door, she locked the doors as his breath fogged up the window.

He chuckled darkly, "Well son, it looks like you found a playtoy" he said, eyeing her through the glass, making Molly want to puke.

Shane's eyes darkened and his fist clenched, signalling he wasn't very happy, "Leave her alone" he growled, walking towards his dad.

The older male just chuckled, "Well you cant just horde your toys to yourself, sharing is caring" he smirked, my eyes widened and some bile rose in my throat.

Shane got right up to his fathers face, poking his chest harshly, "She is NOT a toy, she's a woman who deserves to be treated with respect, and I'll be damned if I'll ever let you lay a hand on her" he growled, shoving his father backwards.

The drunken man stumbled around before raising a bottle in the air, smiling maniacally, "Then I'll take matters into my own hands" he growled.

Shane jumped back expecting him to try and hit him with it, but he couldn't be more wrong.

He swung the bottom of the bottle against the window, making it shatter, his hand reached inside and unlocked the door.

Before i could react he swung the door open and dragged me out.

All i could do was scream, my legs didn't work, but my arms did.

Quickly i grabbed the also smashed beer bottle, grabbing the neck of it so the sharp edges jutted out.

Without hesitation i swung back, making contact as he yelped and let me go, the minute i hit the ground i dragged my self towards Shane, who was already running towards me.

As he scooped me up and held me to his chest we heard a growl.

Shane's dad was off the ground, one of his eyes bleeding profusely, that must've been where i hit.

Even though blood was pouring out and he was half blind he still stood up.

Shane backed up carefully, trying to reach the door so we could escape.

Before the man could lunge at us the sound of squealing tires flew in the driveway, i recognized that car anywhere, Jace.

The blonde jumped out the car, his face set in a grimace, Kass must have finished early.

My thoughts were proven when an angry Kass also stepped out, her pepper spray clutched in her hand.

"Why can't we have one day without almost dying" Shane chuckled in my ear, despite the situation, i giggled.

The man realizing he was surrounded backed away, but his path was right towards Kass, just as he got close to running Kass raised the tiny bottle and sprayed.

Since one of his eyes were probably gone he was blind, one burning his eye the other side burning from the spray seeping into the wound.

Kass shoved him into the backseat and slammed the door, brushing off her hands.

Jace high fived her while me and Shane sat there, until i screamed out "What the hell just happened!!".

Kass cocked her hip out and flipped her hair sassily, "My amazing skills" she said, i made an angry face but quickly started to laugh.

Jace was on the phone with the cops and Shane was staring off into space, i squirmed in his arms and poked his chest.

He snapped out of his daze and looked down, giving me a warm smile, but his eyes showed sadness.

I frowned and he gave me a confused expression, "whats wrong" i asked, he looked away.

"Don't worry, it's nothing" he said before opening the door and carrying me inside.

As Jace and Kass followed behind us they were whispering to each other, i looked over Shane's shoulder and they quickly shut their mouths.

Bringing two fingers to my eyes and them pointing it at them, Jace gave me an innocent smile while Kass was laughing quietly.

The police came and took Shane's dad away for prosecution, after the questioning we went inside again.

"Oh, before i left your doctor told me that he wrote a note to your college saying you are excused from school for as long as you need to recover, and he wrote that Shane wont be going either because he's taking care of you" Jace said, i sighed happily, no school for as long as i want, well until i have to go back.

Kass smiled, "it looks like we're all not going to school for a while, well Jace doesn't have to go since he's done with college" she said, picking at her fingernails.

Raising an eyebrow i looked at Jace, "i only went for two years, I'm 19 now, almost 20" he said, shrugging his shoulders.

Kass was smiling wide at me, "what?" I asked and she pointed at me.

Looking down i realized that Shane had sat on the couch and fallen asleep with me in his arms still.

I tried to push off his chest but he just groaned and pulled me tighter against him.

Jace chuckled, "looks like your stuck like that for a while" he said as he put a disk in the DVD player.

The title 'Finding Nemo' popped up, Kass squealed and I smiled, this movie was my favorite.

After a few minutes into the movie Kass screamed out, "No Nemo, don't touch the butt!!!" Shane jerked under me, still not waking up.

Nemo swam up to the boat and touched it, Jace yelled out "SAVAGE!!" and Kass stared at the tv and said, "Nemo.....no" i couldn't help but laugh.

Its hard to believe this all started because of a pair of Earbuds.
