"Finally done!" Kass squealed, walking backwards to admire her work.

Its now Christmas Eve and the decorations have just been finished.

Kass did most of it since Shane wouldn't let me do anything, he was scared I was going to get hurt.

The living room and all through the house was decorated in garlin and lights, making the house look like a winter wonderland.

Surprisingly all of the lights worked, none of them busted or dark.

Even the garlin seemed to emit a light of their own. "Wow Kass" I gasped, gazing at the beautiful scenery.

She has always been good at decorating, which is why she is going to college to be an interior decorator.

All of her hard work in high school paid off for this moment in her life, adulthood.

Its scary to imagine what it will be like, we can make or break ourselves.

Having our minds set on our future is a must, no matter how much we want to just be lazy.

Speaking of lazy, "Jace!! Get off the couch and come look at this!!" I yelled towards the living room.

I was greeted with a groan and slow footsteps, a grungy looking Jace walking in the room.

He took one look at the lights and smiled, "Great job Kass" he said, pulling her into a hug.

Being the third wheel was not fun as I slipped out of the room, gazing out the window at the night sky.

Guess I'll just have to talk to Shane.

After walking around I came face first into something solid, falling backwards with a squeak, but was quickly caught by the waist.

Shane towered over me, keeping me from landing on the hardwood floor.

Me in one arm and a cup of coke in the other.

"Sorry" I muttered as I squirmed out of his grip, standing to look up at him.

He needed a haircut, his brown hair starting to go wild, sticking up in different directions.

His bright blue eyes even brighter as the Christmas lights reflected off them.

"Its fine" he shrugged, taking a sip of coke out of the green cup.

"Are they having a moment again?" he asked, rolling his eyes.

My attention came from the distracting green cup to him.

"Yeah" I groaned, kicking my shoe at the scuff on the ground.

His chuckle echoed off the walls, making my spine tingle.

"Want to bake some cookies" he asked, leaning against the wall, grinning.

A smile made its way to my lips, "Your such a girl" I scoffed, pushing his shoulder as I walked towards the kitchen.

He made a fake dramatic gasp, "What do you mean by that" he said, acting like I hurt his feelings.

"I mean get your ass in here and help me" I giggled, throwing a bag of cookie mix at his chest.

Catching it with ease as he stared at the back, reading the instructions.

"What is with all these measurements" He said, opening the pack and dumping it in a bowl.

I rolled my eyes, "Just get the ingredients" I said, finding the measuring cup.

He started to rummage through cabinets, pulling out milk, two eggs, and a spoon.

As he walked back towards me he flashed a cocky smirk, "Yes, your majesty" he cooed, doing a bow.

The two eggs rolled off and fell to the floor, making a cracking noise as the yolk gushed out.

His eyes went from the broken eggs and to me as he got two more.

Acting as if I didn't even see it, "Really...." I said, putting my hands on my hips and looking him.

He gave me an innocent smile as he handed me the stuff.

Deciding on ignoring the mess I started to measure off the ingredients.

Pouring the mixture in the bowl and stirring.

Shane stood behind me and watched, making bored noises the whole time.

The cookies are now baking, which means we get to wait......yay......(sarcasm intended).

The couple finally came in, Jace looking bored and Kass with a smile on her face.

The two are so different from each other but they make it work, they do say opposites attract.

My thoughts came to a halt as Kass let out an ear piercing squeal.

She was hopping up and down and pointing over mine and Shane's heads.

As I looked up my heart stopped, a tiny piece of mistletoe was hung over us by a piece of fishing line.

Its green leaves swaying in air current from the vent. I felt my cheeks heat up, there's no way I'm going to escape this.

I could feel Shane's gaze on me, making me blush even harder.

Kass was still squealing, Jace trying to calm her down.

Strong hands pulled me towards him, my body pressed up against his as our body heat mingled.

Looking up I was locked in his gaze, blue eyes sparkling and a smile on his face.

Everything went silent, my own heart beat thumping in my ears.

Our faces were only inches apart and getting closer.

My eyes fluttered closed as his breath fanned across my face.

This is the closest I have ever been to a guy, Im inexperienced but somehow I knew what I was doing.

His lips crashed against mine, my hands around his neck while his were on my waist.

The butterflies in my stomach now feeling like hornets.

Adrenaline pumping through my veins.

This was my first kiss.......and it was with Shane Forester.
