The Search Begins

Two sat on the yellow grass with their friend Gaty as they both watched the contestants hanging out with each other, chatting, playing games, or simply minding their own business. Despite the misunderstanding of the first episode's challenge that led to Two being beaten up by the contestants, Two was happy.

They felt accomplished to have riled up so many contestants for their show and even got a few more bonus contestants like Winner, Price Tag, and Teardrop.

As the day progressed, Two's smile slowly faded as a nagging thought crawled into their mind. They couldn't help but notice how challenging it was to come up with creative and entertaining challenges. They felt disappointed with the slow progress they were making. The contestants seemed content, but they didn't want to keep the viewers waiting for too long.

'Oh! Perhaps borrowing some ideas from other shows wouldn't hurt, right?' Two thought as they snapped their fingers, summoning a green laptop out of thin air, which landed on their lap.

They opened the laptop and began researching other object shows for inspiration on challenges, how to host properly, and anything useful. Two jotted down challenges from other shows in a notebook and even came up with some ideas of their own. They also noted things that other hosts did to entertain the viewers and contestants, although disapproving some hosts' treatment of their contestants.

While comparing the shows, Two noticed hosts who were cruel and heartless, and they vowed not to treat their contestants that way. They created a separate page with things they should avoid to maintain fairness and respect.

Two turned off their laptop and set it down next to the notes beside them. They felt excited about the tons of information and ideas they had gathered for future challenges.

But something still felt lacking. What could it be?

Two sighed, leaning back against a tree they had found an hour before. They gazed towards the orange sky, the sun starting to settle down for the night, contemplating the missing piece.

Surely, things would have been much easier if Two knew how to handle situations like Four and X.

Wait.

An idea sparked in Two's mind, making them jolt up from their position. 'What if they had a co-host to share the joy and responsibilities?' "Yea, that's it! I know what I need!" Two said a little too loudly.

"What do you need?" Gaty's voice interrupted.

"Good evening, Gaty! I've been doing some research on other shows to get ideas for upcoming challenges, and I found something most hosts have that I don't!" Two replied as they settled back down in the grass.

"Really? That's quite smart of you, Two. But do you need a co-host?" Gaty asked, showing her support. "You seem to be doing great so far! If we ignore that little... 'Incident' from the first episode, of course. But I get it, everyone needs a helping hand once in a while."

"Aw shucks, thanks, Gaty. Hosting is still pretty tough and tiring, even with these powers," Two sighed. "And coming up with ideas isn't so easy either. Besides, a few extra eyes would be helpful to catch any cheating or unfairness."

Gaty nodded in agreement. "Seems like it, but the big question is, who will be your co-host? It can't be any of us contestants since it might give an unfair advantage to their team or friends. 'Like a certain someone...'" Gaty muttered with disgust, glancing toward a certain bagel brain before turning her attention back to Two.

"Hmm, you're right about that. I haven't thought it all through," Two admitted, their fingers tracing patterns on the ground as they pondered who would make a suitable co-host.

"Maybe you could advertise on the internet for objects to get interviewed by you and become your co-host. You might find the perfect person to help you out that way!" Gaty suggested.

"Huh, that's a great idea! Thanks, Gaty! I'll advertise on the internet right now and do some interviews first thing in the morning!" Two replied happily, excited to try Gaty's idea.

"I'm glad I could help. I better go back to my team now. It's getting dark. Good night, Two!" Gaty said before walking away.

"Night, night, Gaty!" Two said, waving at their friend before opening their laptop again to create the advertisement as Gaty had suggested.

Soon enough, with the moon and stars shining brightly, Two had posted their advertisement on the internet, closing their laptop and finally resting their eyes after a long hour of making an eye-catching sign.

'Tomorrow will be the day where I'll finally get a helping hand.' Two thought happily before finally falling asleep.
