Chapter 5
The next few weeks were normal, nothing exciting or new happened. The sophomore class got to know the exchange students more and they all started to hang out with each other. One day, Yugi and Yami didn't show up for school. The entire class wondered why but their friends were silent. Lizzy and Keiza got really concerned.
"What if something bad happened to them?" Keiza asked as she and Lizzy walked to history class.
"I'm sure they're fine," Lizzy replied. "The two of them are strong, independent people. Maybe they're just sick." The twosome walked into the history classroom, where their classmates are talking about random things. Anything can happen in that class, especially with their teacher. Mr.T was an outgoing, funny, and somewhat crazy adult. His light blue eyes can fill the room with excitement and his features with his dirty blonde hair were sharp. He always fills the class time with discussion, no matter what the topic was. Most of the time the topic had noting to do with history, which students enjoyed. Mr. T came into the room and said,
"All right, class is gonna begin. So take a seat!" The class took a seat on chairs that surrounded the teacher in a rectangle shape.
"Let's discuss sports!" William exclaimed.
"Like when your team lost the other night?" Ryan mentioned. The rest of the class got a good laugh out of it.
"Do you guys watch sports?" a classmate named Dylan asked Tristan.
"Sometimes," Tristan answered. "But we'd play games a lot."
"Games?" Melody repeated with excitement in her eyes. "What kind?"
"All sorts of games!" Joey exclaimed. "But we really like playing is Duel Monsters." The entire class gasped, even the teacher.
"Joey!" Tea scolded. "You shouldn't have told them!"
"Why?" Lizzy asked curiously.
"Upperclassmen were picking on Yugi and Yami for talking about the game," Tristan explained, gritting his teeth. "Yami can handle it just fine but Yugi..." He stopped his sentence and looked down. The class was silent, not knowing what to say. They knew it had be a bully. Finally, Xavier cleared his throat and announced,
"What if we told you that this class plays Duel Monsters too?" Tea, Joey, and Tristan shot surprised glances at him. Xavier nodded and showed him his deck. Lizzy and Melody nodded to each other and got out their decks.
"Don't forget about me!" Ryan exclaimed, bringing out his deck. William got his out too.
"You mean you all play?!" Joey yelled in shock.
"I can play too," Ian said quietly. "I'm just not as good as the others..."
"Don't say that!" Lizzy said, patting Ian's back. "You've gotten me a few times with your tricks." Ian smiled at her.
"We should tell the two when we get home," Tea said.
"Wait, is that the only reason why they didn't come to school today?" Lizzy asked. "Just because they were made fun of?"
"That's not the only reason," Tea said sadly.
"Then what is it?" Mr. T asked. "It's okay to tell us."
"Those jerks took their decks!" Joey exclaimed, pounding the desk. "Both Yugi's and Yami's!! And they won't tell us where they put it!"
"What?!" everyone gasped.
"Yes," Tea said. "They said that they won't give it back unless the two stop playing the game."
Oh dear....not a good situation for these guys. Now the class has to get the decks back! Look forward to the next chapter and don't forget to vote or comment if I'm doing okay. See you guys!
