I fell in love today, there aren't many words you can say
That could ever get my mind to change
She's enough for me, she's in love with me

After having maths in the morning, causing Amethyst to fall asleep due to her being sleep deprived, the gang all met up in the student lounge to discuss recent events.

Amethyst sipped on her coffee, hoping that it would wake her up enough for P.E and then English.

"My mom and dad don't wanna get the police involved," Betty said, telling the group about Polly. "They don't want anyone to know she ran away, or about her shameful condition."

"Please. What decade is this?" Veronica said.

"My mother had my brother when she was in Senior year," Amethyst said.

"And since she knew where Jason's car was, they're afraid people might think that she burned it and that if she did, she could be the murderer covering her tracks," Betty said.

"Who did burn the car?" Archie asked.

"We're not sure. Sheriff Keller thinks we were being followed," Amethyst said.

"Oh, my god," Veronica mumbled. "Honestly, guys, we should just move."

"Says the girl who just recently moved here," Amethyst said with a raised eyebrow. Veronica playfully narrowed her eyes.

"Guys, what if Polly's really hurt? What if whoever killed Jason is coming after her next?" Betty asked. Amethyst wrapped an arm around the girl's shoulder to comfort her.

"Betty, even though your parents don't want to, maybe you should go to the police," Archie said.

"Seconded," Kevin said. "We can talk to my dad about how he has to be discreet."

Jughead rubbed a hand over his face. "No offence, Kev, but your dad answers to a higher authority than god. The Blossoms. They're the first people he would tell."

"And if there's anyone to keep this a secret from, it's the Blossoms," Betty said. "They'd twist it around and go after Polly out of spite."

"How can we help? Tell us, B. We'll do it," Veronica said, placing a hand on Betty's knee.

"I'll think about it, V," Betty smiled at her best friend.

The bell then went, causing the group to disperse to their next classes, which just so happened to be PE for Jughead, Amethyst and Archie.

"Jughead! Amethyst!" Archie called out, quickly falling into line with the two best friends. "I've been thinking about your situations and I talked to my dad about it. He said he's willing to give your dad a second chance but only if FP wants it. And he said he would hire your brother also. He's gonna call them. I think you two should talk to them. Between the three of us, we can make this happen."

After school had finished, Jughead and Amethyst both headed towards the caravan park in search of FP Jones and Demarcus. They both lived on opposite sides of the park, meaning that they would have to make two separate stops.

Jughead stopped when he spotted FP's trailer and Jughead's past home, looking at all the shit sitting out front. Amethyst smiled at Jughead as she grabbed his hand and then the two walked towards it.

When Jughead opened the door, an empty beer bottle got knocked over and then rolled across the floor. Amethyst almost blocked her nose, the revolting stench of BO hitting her senses.

Jughead and Amethyst walked further into the room, noticing all the shit lying around with empty beer bottles everywhere.

A cough was sounded behind them and the two turned around and watched as FP walked into the room, stopping when he noticed the visitors.

"The prodigal son returns," FP said.

"FP, my man!" Amethyst grinned at the man who had taken her in when her mother died.

He smiled slightly back at her. "Nice to see you, Amethyst."

Amethyst scrunched up her nose. "Word of advice, you might want to put deodorant on once in a while. This place stinks."

FP nodded. "Will do." He then turned to Jughead. "How you doing? You look good."

"Hanging in there," Jughead replied.

"Yeah?" FP placed down an empty glass of alcohol.

"We came by to ask if you would consider going back to work with Fred Andrews," Jughead said.

"Huh," FP scoffed. "Yeah, he called me. I said no. You know, he fired me, Jughead. What kind of man would I be if I went back, hat in hand?"

"For starters? A man with a job, trying to fix his family--"

"Talk to your mom," FP interrupted and slammed the cupboard shut. "She's the one who gave up on us, took your sister."

"Can you please just go see Mr Andrews? He's willing to give you another chance," Jughead said.

"Oh, he's willing, huh?" FP scoffed. "That's generous of him, after all the crap he pulled on me."

FP went to walk away when Jughead caught up to him. "Dad. Don't you want our family back together? Mom and Jellybean could come home. I could come home." FP didn't reply as he nodded. "It's not too late." Jughead grabbed a hold of Amethyst's hand and then exited the trailer.

Amie sighed. "One down, one to go."

"Do you think Marcus will say yes?" Jughead asked as the two began the trek to the other side of the park.

"He's lazy, but he's bound to say yes if I guilt trip him," Amethyst pointed out.

The two walked in silence as they enjoyed the outdoors and passed everyone's trailer on the way to Demarcus's tent.

"Still can't fucking believe he sold his car for a motorbike," Amethyst mumbled.

Jughead grinned. "What's a South Side Serpent without his bike?" He teased.

Amethyst and Jughead stopped when they stood in front of the tent.

"Stay out here. There's not enough room for three people," Amethyst told Jughead.

Jughead nodded and kissed Amethyst's temple before she unzipped the tent and crawled inside. She immediately coughed and fanned in front of her nose.

"I thought FP was bad," she mumbled. Demarcus was lying asleep in front of her, even though it was four in the afternoon.

She looked around the small tent, then picked up a nearby pillow and smacked him with it.

"Get up, you lazy arse," Amethyst said as she continued to smack him with the pillow until his hands went up to cover his face.

"Amie! Amie, what the fuck are you doing?" Demarcus yelled, sitting up to look at his younger sister.

"I'm going to get your life sorted out," she told him. Demarcus groaned and lied back down.

"Fucken get up you lazy arse hoe," she said, proceeding to smack him again.

"Okay! Okay! Jesus," Demarcus said, once again sitting up. "What the hell are you doing here?"

Instead of replying, Amethyst picked up his phone. He had one missed call from Fred. "You idiot!" She hissed, tossing his phone to him. "Call him back right now!"

"What, why?" Demarcus asked, eyes wide at the fury in his younger sisters eyes.

"He's being nice enough and giving you a job at his work. Take it!" She said.

Demarcus rolled his eyes. "I don't need a job. I'm perfectly fine."

"No, you're not!" Amethyst said, smacking his arm. "You can't keep living off of the Serpents."

"You watch me," he said.

"No, I will not!" Amethyst said, shoving him. "I want to be able to come back and live with my only living relative."

Demarcus' eyes softened immensely and he sighed, rubbing his eyes with his hands. "You were always good at pulling the guilt card with me."

Amethyst rolled her eyes. "I'm not trying to make you feel guilty. I'm just being honest with you," she said. "I miss you, Demi. I miss living with my older brother. Please take this job. I want to come home."

Demarcus sighed, knowing that his younger sister had him. "Alright, I'll do it for you."

She grinned. "Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus!" Amethyst kissed her brother's cheek, only for him to wipe it away.

"You're disgusting," he said.

"I know," Amethyst said. "See you soon, Demi!" Amie crawled back out of the tent and found Jughead grinning at her.

"It's quite disturbing, knowing that you can easily guilt trip your way into getting what you want," he said, a small smile on his face.

Amethyst rolled her eyes and shoved him, only for Jughead to wrap an arm around her shoulders. "You're a dick," she said.

Jughead winked at her. "But I'm your dick."
