Allan leaned closer and softly kissed Sophia. Her eyes widened slightly before finally giving in and kissing him back with the same gentleness. Sparks were flying, butterflies in their stomachs that had lain dormant for a long while were finally awakened. Allan smiled into the kiss and slowly his hand crept in her hair, her own hand finding his short brown locks.

Sophia pulled away gently and looked Allan in the eyes, they both breathed hard from how long they were kissing. Sophia smiled and sat back onto the couch, they held hands gently.

"Was.. was that okay?"

Sophia looked at him and nodded and smiled. She tucked a piece of hair that was hanging in front of her face behind her ear.

"It was really good.. thank you.."

He smiled softly and invited her closer. She moved to the side of him and laid on his shoulder. She got comfy and within a few seconds they were kissing again.

The kisses were soft and light. But soon, turned hungry. He sat up moving Sophia so she was straddling his lap. Their breathing became ragged. He could feel the familiar knot forming in his stomach. She could feel it too. She felt hot and jittery.

They pulled away from each other. Sophia's hands still on his chest and Allan's hands on her waist. He looked at her, he could see she wanted this, and he knew he wanted this. But it wasn't right. He didn't want a one night stand and an awkward friendship with Sophia.

Sophia could see the conflict in his eyes. She wanted him, but she knew better. They weren't even dating.

"Allan?"

He looked at her.

"Hm? Yeah?"

"If you don't want-"

He shook his head cutting her off. He took a deep breath. He wanted this, he wanted her.

"I do... But, are you sure you want this? I don't want you to regret this or for this to turn into a one time thing."

She thought, she'd been with men before, so this wasn't new for her. She'd had sex before, but she'd always gotten her heart broken, and she didn't know if she could handle another heart break.

"Um... Well... I don't think I do right now. Not until... Not until we are more than friends, and serious about this."

He liked that answer, he was a bit disappointed, but he was happy she turned him down now. He didn't want to hurt her, not this one.

"Okay, tell me, what do you want to do moving forward?"

She thought about it, she wanted a relationship with him. But what did he want?

"Well, I want to be girlfriend and boyfriend before we go further."

"I can work with that."

They sat for a bit longer before Allan had to go. They had work in the morning. He left shortly after 9 pm, Sophia got ready for bed, while Allan drove back to his town home. Was this the beginnings of love, or possible heartbreak.
