Sophia went into the break room and started heating up her lunch when Daniel came in as well to get his lunch box out.

"Okay, so Brad has filled me in a little from you had said, but I want to hear what your side of the story is to this."

Daniel took his sandwich and soda out of his lunch box and sat down.

"Allan had come over after we had gone grocery shopping. He felt bad about the night before cause he sent me a phallic image while drunk. When he had come over after grocery shopping I had flower and cocoa powder all over my clothes so I went to change, when I had come back out in different clothes he started acting really weird."

"Weird how? Was he sitting a certain way?"

"Yes, he was trying to cover his lower half with his shirt or crossing his legs. When I asked if he was okay he got up really suddenly and said he had put something in the oven."

Daniel chuckled softly and sighed.

"I thought he did something to hurt you. Sophia he was trying to be considerate."

Sophia let out an exasperated sigh.

"And that's supposed to mean what?"

"His hormones got the better of him because of your outfit. But I'm sure he didn't want you to feel like he only saw you as a good time."

An look of understanding washed over her face.

"That makes more sense now. I was starting to think he got uncomfortable."

Dan chuckled and threw his sandwich wrap away.

"Well he was, but he didn't want to make you uncomfortable either."

She nodded and put her lunch box away and headed to the bathroom with her toiletry bag she brings with her to work. Daniel heads back out to the lobby after clocking back in and headed back over to the information desk. Soon after Sophia clocked back in and headed back to her desk and began working again. She looked over at Allan as he was watching people and making a phone call.

Brad had come over to check on Sophia. He chuckled as he saw her writing in her journal.

"Ooh, who's "X"?"

"Its Allan, don't tell him. I found out why he ran last night."

"Oh? What'd he do?"

"He had to take care of something cause of my outfit."

She chuckled softly and went back to writing before starting her afternoon list before the new hire came by for the tour.

"Oh he's into you for sure sweetie."

He chuckled and went back to his desk just as someone came up asking for headphones. A young girl of about 28-30 came up to Sophia as she typed out an excel sheet for some new books she wanted the library to get. Sophia looked up and smiled.

"Hi, how can I help you?"

"Hi, I'm Sandra. I was told to see Sophia? I'm supposed to get a tour."

"Oh, of course! Yes, I'm Sophia! Welcome to the Main Library."

Sandra smiled and they started the tour. Sophia showed her the break room, where the staff bathrooms were, the security office where Allan sat during the day, and of course the check in room for returns and checking in on hold items. The whole tour took about 25 minutes and Sandra started her onboarding learning on one of the staff computers in back, all the employees had to check on her every half hour just to make sure she didn't need help or if she had questions.

The rest of the day went rather quickly. Daniel checked on Sandra to see if she had finished her onboarding education and to grab his things. Brad and Sophia went to grab their things and Sandra stepped over to Sophia.

"Sophia, I was wondering, what is the usual dress code during the week?"

"Business casual, just remember no jeans, no open toed shoes, that also means no crocs unless you wear socks.  Fridays are casual, you can wear jeans on Fridays if you like. No dresses or skirts if they are above your knees, we try and keep as modest as possible."

Sandra nodded and wrote some of the items down quickly in her small notepad.

"I'm guessing no low cut dresses either?"

"Correct, Shein and Cider are gonna be your best friends when it comes to dresses. They have a lot of the modest bodices and they have some night colors."

She nodded softly and smiled. Sophia started heading for the door when Allan came in to grab his stuff. He almost ran over Sophia and they chuckled softly.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! Are you okay Sophia?"

"I'm alright Allan, thank you."

She smiled and headed out the door so she could walk home. Allan headed out to his car and saw that Sophia was walking home. He got in his car and honked at her to slow her down, he rolled down his window.

"Sophia, did you want a ride? I'd be more than happy giving you one."

She smiled and climbed into his Jeep and closed the door. He pulled out of the parking lot and headed to her apartment.

"Sophia, I am so sorry about last night."

"Allan, its okay, Dan explained it to me. I appreciate you trying to not make me uncomfortable. But please, don't run next time."

She smiled and he nodded as he pulled up to her apartment.

"Have a good night, and maybe text or call later, we can talk more."

He nodded and she closed the door and headed inside her little townhome. He drove off in the direction of home and hummed to himself softly. Was this the start of a friendship, or maybe a romance? Was Sandra another side character or was she the main character. Would Sophia be the main love interest?
