Allen didn't have many friends in Sioux Falls. He had reconnected with a few family members, he knew some people who lived in the city from his online DND group. But other than that, he was mostly alone.

He didn't have a lot of time for friends anyhow, it seemed he liked to be alone. But there was one person he was interested in more than anything, Sophia Grant.

She was one of the prettier ones at work, but that wasn't why he was interested. No, it was mainly her fascination with fantasy books, especially ones that had a DND base to it.

He wasn't really sure whether she'd be interested in getting to know him though. She seemed to try and avoid him at all costs, or was that her way of playing hard to get?

He had befriended his boss, David. Who had invited him to church several weeks ago. He ended up going and enjoying it. He found a couple of people around his age there and was able to join the Saturday night church group.

He had also thought about Daniel, even though he was a party animal out of work, at work he was pretty tame. Daniel and Allen talked a lot about DND and found out they were friends on discord on the DND server they were part of.

It helped to know that he did have a few friends. But what about Sophia, would she like to get to know the 'Protector of Books and their keepers'? Or would she decide to go for someone else?
