Katherine: "W-what? No! Who told you?"
Mark: "Kate, don't lie, we just heard you singing."
Kate gasped.
Jackson: "Kate are you shy to admit or..is it something you don't want us to know?"
Katherine: "N-no, it's nothing.. forget about it."
Kate said with a sad smile.
Jackson: "Kate, what's wrong? You can tell us you know."
Mark: "Yeah, we're here to listen. Let it all out."
Katherine: "W-well...yes I sing. But my parents or my brother, none of them support it. They hate it when I sing and restricted me from singing. The only times I could sing would be during recess, in my previous school. I never had that many friends, so I just spent my recess singing in the school field... there's nowhere I can sing. Singing is the only thing that keeps me happy. But no one supports that. Instead criticizes me. It....hurts...a lot... Sometimes I just feel like leaving everything in this world, leave the world even."
By the end of the explanation, tears were streaming down Katherine's beautiful face. Mark immediately pulled her to his chest and hugged her and let her cry there. Jackson caressed her hair trying to comfort her.
Mark: "There there, cry, let all your pain out."
Jackson: "We're here for you Kate.. we'll always be, I promise."
Katherine couldn't help but cry more because of this. Mark and Jackson were the first people she cried to, the first people who gave her their shoulders to cry to, the first people who listened to her problems. Even though it hasn't been a day even, she could already trust them, and they could trust her.
She finally calmed down and stopped crying, hugged Mark tighter and they pulled back and Kate went on to give Jackson a hug.
Katherine: "You guys are the first people who ever listened to me and gave me shoulders to cry on. No one has ever been this kind to me. Thank you, so much."
Mark: "Hey, don't thank us. As Jack said, we're always here for you."
He smiled.
Jackson: "Kate, I have no idea why your family does that, and I don't think you do either, but I know something that may help you."
Katherine gave him a puzzled look.
Jackson: "You can join the school band! There you can sing all you want!"
Katherine: "That is an amazing idea, but my mom is gonna murder me."
Mark: "She doesn't have to know..."
The three of them gave each other a sly smirk.

They finished their projects and Katherine bid Jackson and Mark goodbye. Katherine couldn't wait to go to school tomorrow.
