Speak with the dead..?? Whats that?
I was in a banquet hall in the same red dress I previously wore to my prom recently. It was cut to the mid thy, and the color was that of fresh blood, not dark nor bright. The main selves connected to the main stream of fabric was cut to be off the shoulder, but there was a thin strap on either shoulder holding up the sleeves.
Currently I was standing with the rest of the crowd, for the announcer had just called for all the women to stand.
Now the banquet was split into three halls, one room for the boys, the main room where the announcer was seated, and another room for the women.
All the women walked out, closely followed by the men, when two of my friends caught up to me.

Later that night we returned. I had stumbled and fallen a few times because, my shoes were oddly enough; roller skates.
I started going down a ramp that I thought lead to the banquet hall, when one of my friends (both of them are guys btw) grabbed me by the arm and said,
"Trust me when I say, you don't want to go down there."
I nodded curious and intrigued, but knew better than to ask any questions.
I look down the railing that led to the ramp and saw a blonde tuft of hair I knew belonged to my other friend.
"... Where are you going..??" I question him.
He chuckles. "I was just going to find you."
I found the spot on which had my name, and sat down.
This time, the banquet was split up into one room adults, one room children, and another for the announcer.
My friend tapped me on the shoulder and showed me his phone; on which was glowing a bright white. Once my eyes adjusted to the screen, I saw the name of the app.
"Speak With the Dead."
I look at him, confused and ask "What's that?"
He smiles mischievously. "Whoever taps the 'go' button, will be transported to the closets place where a large abundance of people died."
I shake my head, annoyed with his stupidity.
"I don't think this will work, but okay."
I mistakenly tap the button.

A clear voice that belongs to a woman filled my head as I got transported to a sulfur mine, filled with water.
"When I was young, I needed money. So I looked for anything I could do. Sulfur mining was the only thing in store for youngin' like me. Little did we know tho that sulfur was a dangerous material, can kill anyone in just a few years if exposed to it enough." A young woman was going up and down on a little hand pulled rope elevator, caring buckets apon buckets of water.
"Boss never told us nothing, so what did we know? Nothing that's what I'll tell you. Thousands died in one year from the sulfur poisoning that they got. But dyeing young in my time was normal. No one thought nothing of it. Miss Mary-Jane, she over saw us. She done complained about anything. Anything in the world that she could complain about she would. No one ever liked her that Miss Mary-Jane. Even when the mine was finished and we built her house, she still complained." Time went fast around me to show a young woman sitting in the previously filled-with-water mine, that was now empty besides the small writing desk in the corner. I would complain to with how empty it is in here.
"That woman there, she's Miss Mary-Jane. And trust me when I say that's all she wanted in this here room. But, she made the rest of this here house as extravagant as mankind could ever think." My vision paneled around to the rest of the gigantic building.
"Couple months later, after building her this your house, I done died. People say it was from sulfur poisoning, but I done reckon it wouldn't. I reckon' it was that there Miss Mary-Jane. No I also recon' she done complain down her last breath. That woman even complained when her husband bought her those fancy darn pearls from Italy. she said they weren't the pink ones that she wanted. I also reckon that it was her husband that killed her. And I would've too. Alright child, now I need your help to figure out what done killed me. You think you could do that?"
I nodded.
"All right child, in that box over there there will be some notes. It say who done killed me. Read that out to me and you can leave. If you don't Miss Mary-Jane will get ya'. Then you will surly die."
I nodded a walked over to the writing table and opened up the box I was instructed to.
In the paper it said,
"Miss Mary-Jane killed Miss Raven."
I read it to the woman, and she smiled.
She slowly faded away. Soon I opened my eyes to be met with the dangerous material-mine, and the smell of copper, rust, and cole all mixed together.
I get up slowly, and walk back to the banquet.
No one looked the same, they all like they were dead on the outside.
Or maybe.
It was me who died.
